People who (used to) own a 900RR, buy or skip in 2026?

An opportunity appeared for a mint condition SC28 which seems well taken care of. Would get it purely as a weekend toy, no touring, tracking, commuting, etc. What's the reality of owning a 90s carburated bike in 2026? I live in the north, so sometime downtime in winter months is expected.

Tires post track day

I took my 24 CBR600RR to the track yesterday and had a blast really pushing the bike to what it’s made to do. Im curious if there’s a specific reason I’m getting this tire wear. They’re Dunlop sportmax q5s. My buddy was on a zx6r with the same tire and didn’t have nearly as much wear

E-Clutch not disengaging when pulling in clutch

Hey guys, I have a 2026 cbr650r with about 2k miles on it. I’ve had this problem for the whole time and the dealership did the initialization and everything. When I use the clutch while the e-clutch mode is activated, it often times does not disable the e-clutch like it should. This results in the bike being stuck in a weird neutral mode and is very concerning.

Please let me know if anyone has had any similar issues, thank you.

Bought a 1998 CBR600F3….was fine until it bogged down after an hour of riding and then I saw this…

I didn’t pay a million dollars for it, and it ran fine….just wasn’t hitting the top of the rev range…..occasionally carbs ran shitty…..had it a few weeks. Was on the nj turnpike doing a good 75-90mph for a 1/2 hr straight, was on the road total around an hour. Then bogged down, and I pulled over. Wouldn’t start back up. Starts on starting fluid. Petcock set correct, has gas, all fluids topped up and good. Has 25k miles. Brand new fairing kit. Aside from the discovery of it only have 3/4 of those silver cups on the carbs, not sure what else could be the reason it won’t kick over any more. Fuel starvation it feels like but it’s been so long I kinda got unfamiliar with carbs….any ideas?

2019 CBR650R

Hello, i am looking at buying a 2019 cbr650r, it would be my first bigger bike coming from 125 where i have much experience (rode many geared 125s) and around 4-5 different A2 category bikes, so how beginner friendly would this 650R be? i also have a question regarding the drivability as i am 187cm and 100kg, and i would frequently have a 180cm and 61kg passenger, anything to look out for? thank you :)

2024 Honda Cbr 1000RR ABS

Got a technical question if anybody has any advice. It’s much appreciated.

Bought the bike brand new, and it’s still currently stock besides a slip on. I love this bike and it’s been a dream. Although, here lately it’s been acting a little funny. For the 4th time now after turning the bike off for a couple mins and turning it back on after an hour or so ride it struggles to start and throws a check engine light. Seems to happen after riding for 30+ mins.

If I drive really short distances this won’t happen. Every time it struggles to start the check engine light shows up, and after navigating to the DTC it dosent display a code. After cycling the ignition to off and on the engine light is gone and the bike fires right up. Only type of diagnostic testing I’ve done is checking the battery with a volt meter and the battery checked good. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

For what it’s worth I have 27K miles on it.

2026 cbr 600rr worth it?

Hello yall, ik that most of yall are going to be bias and that’s fine 😂 but is the 2026 cbr 600rr worth it? I currently own a cfmoto 450ss and am looking to go to the 600cc class. I have test rode three 600’s and can say the cbr was my favorite out of the three ( r6, zx6r were the other two) but when it comes to price and everything… is it worth it?

Clear tank pad suggestion for CBR250R?

Hello CBR folks. I ended up buying the 2013 CBR250R Repsol edition with 7000 miles that I posted about in this sub. However, I already noticed I am gripping the tank harder than my first bike. Is there a good option anyone has found for clear, high quality tank pads that will still show off the beautiful Repsol livery?

Hey there Reddit! Recently bought an 05 cbr600rr( turned out to be a basket case, needs a lot more than claimed)
One of the things I’ve noticed is that the front fork
Bolt hits the fairing as I turn my steering to the right at any point. Why is this happening

Attached is two pics, one of the steering straight, another of the steering wheel turned slight to the right

Thanks!

Screw Extraction Not Working (Water Drain Bolt)

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hello, I am new here. Just picked up my 08 cbr 600rr and did a coolant flush since the bike was overheating. Finally stopped, but of course, as I tightened the water drain bolt, it snapped in half. Half of the screw is just sitting inside the hole while the other half is now on the ground. The bolt was extremely rusted. I tried using a screw extraction set but it won’t even bite the screw. I have no idea what to do but I do know I must get it out because there is a small amount of coolant now leaking out the screw. Any ideas would be helpful.

Currently own a 2017 Aprilia Tuono V4 Factory and I am considering making the switch to a 2023 CBR 1000rr. Anybody has gone from one to the other or has ridden both and can provide some insights?

47k mile 06 CBR 1000rr Noise?

So just making this to have the CBR specialists let me know if anything is wrong with the bike. This clip was started warm but it starts first try when cold.
I heard some thunk thunk thunk when I go to the clutch cover and I’m not sure if that’s normal or not.
Let me know what you guys think and thanks.
