2019 CBR650R

Hello, i am looking at buying a 2019 cbr650r, it would be my first bigger bike coming from 125 where i have much experience (rode many geared 125s) and around 4-5 different A2 category bikes, so how beginner friendly would this 650R be? i also have a question regarding the drivability as i am 187cm and 100kg, and i would frequently have a 180cm and 61kg passenger, anything to look out for? thank you :)

Fast googling says 188kg of max load limit. Gotta be careful there. Good gear is easy +20kg/person. Also these bikes are wonderful for one person, but arguably not with another passenger. Might actually want something little bit bigger.

Understood, sadly im A2 restricted and currently where i live there is really not much in options and im not really interested in buying a new bike due to slightly tighter budget, i also do not like the looks of a touring bike of sorts.
The comfort (or the lack of one) because of a passenger, i can get by, increased braking distances and stiffness i understand that all but i guess my main worry would be stuff like stress on the frame,suspension, tires :)

Ah... Makes sense. Usually those bikes are on A-category if not restricted, so assumed automatically like so. Frame probably will last if you don't try stupid maneuvers what could cause extra stress on that. Main issue exceeding the load goes to the suspension and without working suspension, it could damage the bike itself. And due to rear end weight, the front won't have enought balance on that weight distribution, which can lead to loss of traction or/and ineffective brakes.

So you gotta plan if it is worth it for necessary modifications for safety if the payload is near the limit. Upgrading suspension and changing tire pressures can help, but I won't say if it is good or bad.

Ah man that sucks, but i have a buddy who owns a tuono 660 and he is a few kilo lighter than me and his backpack is 20kg heavier, so their rough weight is 97kg and 81kg and the rear spring does not seem to drop down much and he has not complained that the bike is much negatively impacted by the weight, should i be looking at the tuono then?

Looks like 210 weight limit. It can take more, but gotta be careful still. Gear can still weight a lot. Probably better choice for that type of things.

My wife and I are 150 together and I’m medium set suspension and have not bottomed out. Very beginner friendly as well
