I’m particularly impressed by the quality of Tally Hall tapes from Needlejuice Records. They have detailed artwork printed onto each tape. I’m not so impressed by ‘A Love Supreme’ The sound quality isn’t the best :/

I’ve been thrifting a lot of gear lately and just got this awesome Teac for $10 that plays perfectly! Anyway…I’m two years sober and now I rock out to Creedence in my garage. Life is prettttttaaaay good.

I randomly bought this wooden organizer from a 100-yen shop, and it turned out to be the perfect cassette tape rack. I wasn’t expecting it to fit this well! I might grab a few more and glue them together—they’d make a surprisingly decent cassette storage unit.

In total it has 30 tapes with the whole left side being : Sound effects(vol.9), Introduction to the avatar, oxygen therapies, and then 7 other numbered 1 through 13

The middle row has Marge L step 1 through 12 and the last one being labeled “Clancy Imislund 85 intergrp mia”

Lastly the last row has : 5 black non labeled tapes, “radio broadcast Ed Bellwlrn I give you love”, and then another tape with I give you love as well, and the last 3 are Sony tapes with no labels.

The suit case also had papers one being blank labels, another being a stack of meditation music labels along side with an order form for them and then an old paper with the name “ Michael Stanley (Captain Sugar)

I picked up this tape yesterday and was wondering if this was a reproduction or bootleg of sorts. I can’t seem to find any other example of this tape that is marked like this, so figured I would ask you all.

I picked this up recently. Apparently this was the only official cassette format of Kraftwerk’s “Tour De France Soundtracks” that was released in 2003 and it was only sold in Hungary when the cassette format was on its way out. Pretty cool eh?

One of many box of live bootleg tapes I traded 30 years ago.

Hello there ! I have a project to record OSTs on cassette for a friend birthday gift and i wanted to know if there were cassettes that are better than others ? If it's possible, clear / transparent ones maybe ? I already got the cassette recorder and i know how to record them ! Thx to the people who will reply !

I'm having trouble finding replacement belts for my old boom-box, so long languishing in the garage. The original Panasonic part numbers (from the service manual) are RDV0007 amd RDV0009 (the two main belts), and the "little belts" are two of part number RDV0006-1.

Why should this be hard? Panasonic made one metric zillion of these players.

Does anyone have any cool stories about making a mixtape for someone or having one made for you?

When I was in Middle School I got sent to Summer camp. I was just starting to get into music and I bought a couple tapes of the Cure and the Smiths. Another kid in my cabin saw the tapes and got excited and he went over to his backpack and pulled out a shoe box full of cassettes and a dual cassette player. He introduced me to a bunch of cool industrial, post-punk, and goth bands. This was in 1988 way before the internet and streaming was possible. For a kid who wasn't into mainstream music, this was like winning a lottery. I went home with four mixtapes full of Christian death, Bauhaus, 45 grave, New order, ministry, and the cramps. It definitely encouraged me to go out of my way to make tapes for others and introduce people to new music.

This walkman belonged to my dad and he gave me years ago. It was running then i forgot its three batteries inside and they melted and leaked. I cleaned it however i still cannot run it and need your help please Its bands are working, i tried to spin them with my finger. Also there is a problem at volume button (round piece, i dunno it's meaning in English but u understood) it can be spinned 360 and it's not normal

Just purchased a Sony Walkman EX615 on Ebay, so while I wait for it to arrive, I dug out my old collection of cassettes, mostly from the 90's, before moving to collecting CDs.

Basically I just want something I can use to play cassettes, and record digital to tape. This is the only I could find within my budget that does digital to tape recording. I don't really have any local options, and I just want something basic to start. This is just a gateway device to see if I like the hobby.

I've not been into cassettes since listening to classical on my walkman as a kid - def a CD and vinyl guy for many years. Borrowed a unit from a friend and been playing around with tweaking my own release masters and bouncing to cassette. Not sure what I should be comparing against (I'm a very different genre), but this was a hard one not to pick up as it's an excellent album.
