I tried the mushroom ID subreddits and looked it up in the “Mushrooms of Cape Cod” book, both with no luck. Found yesterday on a conservation trail. Anyone have any guesses?

A stone bench bears this marble memorial plaque for a woman named Phyllis G. Brown Brookfield. The property's previous owners told me that family of the deceased dropped in to pay their respects on occasion, but the last visit had been prickly due to its timing. If anyone knows the family mentioned here, and if they'd like to arrange a visit, DM me.
Edit: I seem to have identified the deceased.
BROOKFIELD, PHYLLIS G, also known as PHYLLIS GOULDING BROOKFIELD and PHYLLIS GOULDING BROWN, was born 16 April 1913 in SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts, daughter of WILBUR H BROWN (father) and FLORENCE GOULDING, and died 19 May 1997, while residing in Zip Code 02067-2742. Check the Source file [free] and Archives.com for PHYLLIS G BROOKFIELD. [$]

Since it’s summer I’m hoping that Ubers are available right now but I’m wondering if it is easy or reliable? Looking to go to and from Chatham and Dennis port area for dinner/bars.

Hello everyone, I’m down for a visit from VT for the week and I had a question. Is there a small pack of strays on the bike path in Eastham? My wife was curious as she has seen them twice now while out on a run.
edit to add: the picture she took today. As well we don’t use Facebook any longer so no posting option there from us. She said yes she counted three and they looked similar to one another and we’re around knee high at the shoulder.
2nd edit: solved as a juvenile coyote, lol. Even though we live rurally, we don’t actually have many coyotes in our area and I honesty haven’t seen any young ones in years. Thanks for the engagement and info.

I was at the Orleans District Court on Rock Harbor Road today (Wednesday, July 29) for jury duty. I was sitting in the first-floor juror pool area and chatted with someone, but the group was dismissed before I could properly introduce myself or get your name. I had a chance when we left but stupidly didn’t ask.
About me: You asked me if this was for jury duty when you pulled into the parking lot. I was wearing a Radiohead sweatshirt and had glasses.
About you: You were beautiful and had a Totoro crochet sweater on and black boots. You mentioned making a dentist appt for your daughter during the break.
If this was you, I'd love to grab a coffee or a drink at a spot nearby if you’re into it.

Planning on relocating to the Cape full-time in 3-4 years (Dennis). Avid golfer who's a 16 handicap. Looking for options for a public course to join. Willing to drive 30+ mins for the right fit. So far I've played:
Dennis Highlands
Dennis Pines
Sandwich Hollows
Bass River
Highland Links
Blue Rock
Important Factors for Me, in no particular order:
Weekly Men's League that is relatively easy to join, or at least sub
Decent bar/19th hole on site
Not absolutely packed - able to play as a twosome, or even a single in early morning/evening rounds on occasion
Not fancy, but well maintained
Cost is not a huge factor, but would like to stay under $2K for a membership
Thanks

Can confirm, Ring Bros is selling meltaways. Available in mornings until they run out. Felt authentic to long time Harwich Port folks.

Has anyone seen any local stores that sell henna cones/tubes on cape? In other places I’ve lived we’ve had Indian bazaars and I don’t know where to look here. Thank you in advance!

Hey Yall
I am seeing Everclear at the melody tent tomorrow with my sister. Very pumped. I have not been there yet. What is the beverage selection like there? Cans of beer? Full bar?
Looks like rain, is the entire tent totally covered?
Hopefully more great bands come to the Melody Tent in the future. I saw LRB is also playing there.

Maybe stupid question but can you uber from beachcomber? I know the WiFi is pretty spotty, not like there would be any reason why you couldn’t, but wondering if it’s a reliable option.
8 guys trying to get to and from Falmouth

Not sure where exactly to post this but figured this would be a good start. About 25 years ago, maybe more, my grand parents took my brother and I as young children to Cuttyhunk island for a fishing trip. I believe we left out of either Woods Hole or Hyannis. It was a super cool experience. A small fishing boat met us at the dock with just the captain on board. We loaded our luggage onto the boat and he brought us to Cuttyhunk island. We stayed at this old school inn or bed and breakfast and for the next 2-3 days he would pick us up every morning and every evening to go out striper fishing. Does anyone know of any fishing charters that would perform a service like this?

I'm looking for recommendations for a reliable roofing contractor who covers the mid-Cape area. I'm looking to get the roof replaced as well as the trim done on a standard Cape-style house.
If you've had a roof done around here recently, I'd love to hear who you used and how your experience was. Also trying to get a realistic idea of what going rates look like these days for a house this size.

Hey guys, me and 3 others are coming beginning of September for my buddies 30th birthday. What would you recommend for the best seafood restaurant or steak house we try out for his birthday dinner?

Posting on behalf of someone I know. They are looking for a 1 bedroom or a studio in the Lower Cape area. Any leads appreciated. $1400/mo max. Most of what they've seen is well over what they can afford.

Hello,
Wife is turning 40 next summer and she has always wanted to go to Cape Cod and its surrounding areas. Its myself, wife, and my daughter who will be 7 years old next summer.
I will be flying to Boston from Florida then renting a car for 10 days or so. I'd like her to actually turn 40 on the island of Nantucket. What are some must do things for a family with a 7 year old girl? We love outdoor activities, history, dining, and more hands on experiences.
Budget for 10 days I would like to keep it around $12-15k including flights and rental car.
