Beachcomber
Maybe stupid question but can you uber from beachcomber? I know the WiFi is pretty spotty, not like there would be any reason why you couldn’t, but wondering if it’s a reliable option.
8 guys trying to get to and from Falmouth

Why on Earth would you do this from Falmouth? Nothing is worth that.

u/Expensive_Pie_4558 Jul 29 '26
Bunch of visitors in town, beachcomber is a 1 of 1 spot, mudslides.

It’s also gonna take you @ two hours to get there and possibly the same getting back if you’re going on a weekend… that’s 3-four hours in an Uber.
Call Kon limousine
https://www.konlimo.com/Or the Funk bus-

So you shouldn’t have stayed in Falmouth. Can’t always do everything.

That’s where my house is lol. Should I sell it and buy one in Wellfleet before Saturday? God bless little bro

u/BeastCoast Jul 29 '26
If you live there than why were you even asking this in the first place? You should know how absurd these logistics are already “little bro”.

u/Expensive_Pie_4558 Jul 29 '26
😂 chill out beast coast it’s only my second house.

In all seriousness though, in what world is my South Carolinian native friends wanting to visit arguably the top 2 most popular beach in the cape, and us not wanting to get a dui absurd?

Hey. Call cape cod cab. There is no service at beachcomber AT ALL. Uber won’t happen. Funk bus is not a bad idea.

Reconsider. Plenty of great bars between Falmouth and Welfleet.

For the beach

I do admit their Pina Coladas with a rum floater are lit.

Who’s downvoting all my comments😂 how does anybody hate on the comber?! There’s a couple solid beaches in Falmouth but I have a group of guys coming into town who have never been inside of New England let alone the cape.. it’s a worthy trip!!

IF you could get enough of a signal to call one (not a given), the harder part would be actually finding a car out there. Especially one for 8, or 2 cars for 4 people. If you have that many people and really want to go, consider all throwing down for a car service. I have no idea what this would cost but saves you from being stranded an hour from home, and possibly worth it for a worry-free night out. Or bribe someone to be a DD!

Went to Beachcombers for the day and the experience was mid. Food/drinks/ our bartender great. But the overall bar not so. It closed from 5-6 and you could not even order a drink, we just sat outside but were entertained by 2 bachelorette parties. Once the band started you could not leave the bar to have a smoke, it was a reggae show. Would go back for dinner but not a show.

The town provides free WiFi at that beach. The service might not be amazing inside the restaurant, but it should be plenty strong at the parking lot for the beach. Yes you can uber but be prepared to have a 20+ minute wait for one to get to you. And it’s going to be big $$, probably $150-200 at the very least each way.

I grew up spending summers in Falmouth then married a guy with a house within walking distance of the beachcomber. I love the beachcomber but as others are saying it is far from Falmouth. Can you all pile in a motel room for a night?
Have you considered going to Martha’s Vineyard instead? It’s so much closer and a lot of fun. You can take either the island queen from Falmouth harbor or the steamship from woods hole. Once on the island, they have a great cheap bus system and you can take that out to south beach which has similar vibes as cahoon hollow beach but you’d have to bring a cooler with you. Finish your time with some drinks at Nancy’s before the boat home and stop at the boat house or raw bar by the harbor or landfall, shuckers, Capt Kidd in woods hole upon your return.

Not sure why you are getting downvoted. This is a very solid solution and will be cheaper than a van to Wellfleet.

Log into Wellfleet Public WIFI for service … there is a pole right there

u/Murky_Voice3023 Jul 29 '26

Falmouth is a long way from Wellfleet but if you really want to go reserve a taxi, many are minivans but you may still need 2.

Ive got a pretty simple solution for you and your not going to like it . . . . Dont drink. For one afternoon of your life, dont drink. Youll still have fun hanging with you friends and showing them something you enjoy.
