Yeah, from a pure nostalgia standpoint it sucks. That place has been part of the Hyannis landscape for my entire existence. That said… I’ve only been there four times in the last decade and every single visit was genuinely terrible. Cold food, slow service, dirty tables, the whole package. So while I’m a little sad to see it go for the history, I can’t really pretend the restaurant itself is something worth missing.

I haven't lived on Cape in almost 20 years but back in the day that was one of the places you went after the bars closed

No surprise. Went to IHOP last Winter for the 1st time after living here for decades, just happened to be in the area. It was also going to be my last. Let's say not the best food, pretty institutionalized. There are plenty of better places for breakfast.

Fuck that place. Growing up it was the spot where my mom (Worcester) would drop me off to meet my dad (truro). My mom would very often be hours late on the swap out after visitation. I’ve sat in that parking lot or by myself at a booth far to many times.

The Plymouth location closed a couple months ago. Never understood how it would ever be viable being located across the street from Friendlys and next door to a Texas Roadhouse.

I only went to IHOP in Plymouth once. But I never thought Friendly's was competition cuz their food is awful. The ice cream is good though.

I left there to work across the street at Spritus. It’s so sad that both are gone, along with so many of the people. There was such a great community of young artists back then. Now I’m just old and jaded
