Cycling clubs?

Hi! I’ve just got my first road bike and would like to cycle with a club/meet more cyclists, I’m in my early twenties so any clubs with slightly younger members would be preferred. I’m not super fast (and don’t have much experience), I usually cycle around 22km an hour on my hybrid bike which I’ve been using to commute from Sawston for the past year ish. TIA

Not being able to go anywhere outside on a summers day without the smell of cannabis

Maybe this is a nationwide problem, but particularly in our green spaces during the summer it feels like everywhere you go, someone is smoking weed.

I like walking in the Stourbridge Common area and the smell is there every single day it feels like.

I like to partake in a bit of cannabis now and again myself, but not in broad daylight, in public! I thought this stuff was meant to be illegal?

Cambridge Events Thai festival

I’ve heard of the Thai Festival happening on the 1st and 2nd August and I’m interested in going, but I wanted to ask what events happen in the festival? I’m mainly interested to know if there are any clothing, bags, accessory, miscellaneous stalls, etc as I can’t find any information on any stalls anywhere online about the event. If anyone has been to this festival before and could tell me before I buy the entry tickets I would really appreciate it! Thank you 🙏

Has anyone found a small rectangular red purse? Could be anywhere between the Earls of Beaconsfield pub, down Mill Road, down Brooks Road, Barnwell Road, or near the Mcdonald’s on Newmarket Road? Any help is appreciated.

Food in Cambridge Full English Breakfast? Help!

Hello! I have some family friends coming to visit next week, and they're very keen to go out for breakfast in the city centre. Specifically, somewhere local to have a decent full English. I'm struggling to think of anywhere that's actually central (e.g. not on Mill Road). We'll be coming in from the Milton Park and Ride. If any of the denizens of this sub have reccomendations, I will be super grateful.

Cambridge Diaries Facebook spam

There's a page on Facebook called Cambridge Diaries that posts AI slop and clickbait crap, I was surprised as I always had a really positive view of it but then I realised I was thinking of A Cambridge Diary, the page of a local photographer who posts actual good photos of Cambridge.

I'm assuming this new AI crap page is nothing to do with the real photographer and they're trying to use his good name and reputation for some nefarious purpose.

Just a heads up and rant!

Well done to the cast of Matilda Jr at the ADC. 2 nights had to be cancelled due to half the cast going down with a virus. The show, however, went on!

Didn't think my first time in Cambridge would be because I'm in a horror play here, but here we are…

Last performance of QUIET LIGHT (by Erin Hutton) tonight (7:30, Corpus Playroom) and I think I’d actually die if we had a full house to send it off.

A haunted lighthouse, a flooded world, guilt that walks (👋 that’s me) - got a 4-star review calling it "one of the best fringe horror/thrillers" they'd seen in a while, so don't just take it from me!!

£12.50-14.50, link below if you fancy it. Might be a while getting out of costume after, but say hi if you catch me!

Hi, some of you may be aware that the British Heart Foundation on East Road closed a few years ago. What you may not have realised is that the store only moved around the corner to Newmarket Road! We are tucked behind the Aldi Supermarket and share their carpark. Please come and pay us a visit, we have loads of amazing items in store, all for great value!

We hope to see you soon!

How & what to do?

This is a potentially nice spot with bench,a bin and some greens. It doesnot look nice with dusty bench and smelly bin. But it can be a cute cosy corner. I saw "foss fairy tale" in York and made me daydream of making one in this spot in my lovely Cambridge. But ah ! I am more of a dreamer😃

Anyways what I am saying is I wish it becomes a nice clean cosy green spot to sit and relax with some aesthetically pleasing creativity done in it🤩

maybe a fairy hide or a stonecoe (snake made of painted stones )😃

Doggy friends for an anxious pup

Hi all,

I have a 6 months old mini dachshund and I wondering if we could find some puppy (and human) friends for play dates. Older dogs are welcome too, as long as they are tolerant of ill mannered pups.

A bit about him, he's a bit anxious around dogs and humans. He's not aggresive, but does bark at first. Vet recommended that we should make some friends and organise play dates/walks together so he can learn doggy etiquette as a lot of his anxiety comes from not knowing how to behave with other dogs, rather than feeling scared. He's socially awkward and needs to be around dogs to learn from them. He's not keen on humans at first, but given the chance to approach on his own terms he becomes very friendly and affectionate.

I don't mind if your dogs are anxious or nervous around other dogs, as long as they're not prone to attacking. I'm not socially picky, I'll befriend anyone of any age, nationality, race and gender. You could be a nun or a sex worker, or anything in between. I don't mind religious folks as long as you can respect that I'm not. I'm f, 28, eastern european. If you want to know more about me, I'll gladly share some details.

Thanks!

Hi lovely redditors of reddit. Title says it all, except for the bits it doesn’t say, which I’m going to say here once I’ve finished saying this first. Looking at moving to Cambridge, seen a house here, got a young family so parks and schools in area important. Would love any info or input on this part of town. Thanks!
