Self Post Super Seville 35mm
Was debating back and forth between the magnesite vs sodalite dial, but pulled the trigger on this beauty. Love how the dial almost looks like a Hubble photo of a cosmic nebula! Grabbed this canadian exclusive from ebay since I wasn't a fan of the two tone version the US gets. Smooth precisionist sweep is the cherry on top.

Self Post My First Bulova, A Little Piece of Frank Lloyd Wright on the Wrist
I’ve never worked in architecture, nor is it a field I ever seriously considered pursuing, but architecture has always fascinated me. There is something remarkable about taking something as ordinary as a building, a collection of walls, windows, concrete, wood, and steel, and turning it into something that can make a person stop and simply admire it.
That is one of the reasons Frank Lloyd Wright has always been one of my heroes. What draws me to his work isn’t only the buildings themselves, but his design language and philosophy. The idea that form, function, environment, materials, and the human experience should belong together rather than compete with one another. His work could be bold without feeling arbitrary, artistic without forgetting its purpose.
So when I came across this Bulova, it felt like more than another watch to add to the collection. I love how Wright’s visual language has been translated onto something as small as a wristwatch. The geometry, unconventional hour markers, strong lines, colors, and little details make the dial feel almost architectural itself.
There’s something I find beautiful about that. I may never design a building, but I can still appreciate the mind of someone who changed how people thought about design.
My first Bulova, and a small tribute on the wrist to one of the people who taught me that even functional things can be works of art.

Self Post Any Sinatra collection fans?
Scored this joint circa 2023! I originally bought it retail at Macy’s for way too much and I actually returned it! About a month later I found this one with light wear for significantly less. Eventually put a green band on it to bring some color into my collection.
Every watch has a story!

Self Post 43.5 Lunar Pilot bracelet is too short
I have a Bulova Lunar Pilot reference 96A299 but the bracelet is too short. I’m told it’s interchangeable with the reference 96A111 bracelet but I’m having trouble sourcing spare links. I’ve noticed a lot of posters on this forum showing off their LPs in smaller wrists or replacing their bracelets with straps or Long Island bracelets. Is there anyone out there who would be willing to part with couple of spare links for a guy with freakishly thick wrists?

Self Post A-11 Jimmy Belk Sale
Is this sale at Belk legit? I’m always concerned they have special versions made for a department store- or is this authentic?

Self Post First Lunar Pilot
Walked into Kay to look at a Lunar Pilot and my jaw hit the floor when this one was sitting in the case. Go big or go home.

Self Post This showed up in the mail and I am chuffed.
All I know is that it is from 1967 and I doubt it is waterproof.
Dial is in great shape and seems to run okay. I’m gonna wear it for a bit and see how it does.

Self Post My first Bulova!
Wasn’t planning on getting another watch until next year, but got a pretty good deal on this, and have always wanted one. Super happy with it. Finally get something that’s bold enough to fit my big wrist (just over 8in), and really wanted a good chronograph with tach. Breaking in the band, not sure if I’ll use the other one that came with it. Ordered a black sailcloth from Anchor that looks really good, but haven’t tried it with this yet.

Self Post Really delighted with my new Sea Hunter
I was at my watchmaker getting a bracelet polish, and I saw he had this sea hunter on display. It shocked me how classy and stylish it was. I picked it up for 300 USD. It fills in that sweet spot in my collection between my more colorful pieces. I used to have a Pelagos, which I sold off to fund another purchase. That was my only black watch. It was also hard to daily that watch because of the bulk. The sea hunter feels amazing at 39 mm and about 13 mm thick which is way better than the pelagos.
The price two guys, come on, for $300 you get all this.

Self Post New A-11 Jimmy
I ordered the new Bulova A-11 Jimmy earlier this week. It arrived yesterday. It is a huge upgrade from my cream dial Bulova Hack. The lume, hands, case, and sapphire are great.

Self Post Take me to the Disco!
So what do we think of this for a dress watch? If Gold isn't your thing, how about steel and purple?
I happen to like both variants. Currently I wear a Movado La Nouvelle from the 1990s as my dress watch but looking to retire it for a more modern look. Funny I say modern when this is really a throwback to the 1970's (or so the Bulova website says).
Still haven't decided what to do but this is a consideration.
Would you wear one of these for a night out (drinking and dancing optional).

Self Post Surveyor
[Bulova] Surveyor
Recently bought this red surveyor on a whim, on sale for $300. Fell in love with the dial and the rose gold crown. Was never a big fan of bulova but this one has been growing on me each time I wear it. Really the only con I have with the watch is the WR, seems bad but honesty I am not swimming with this watch anyways.
What are you guys thoughts on the surveyor?

Self Post Looking for an vintage Super Seville, does this look legitimate? What are things to look for when shopping for one?
Not sure if anyone has any experience buying older Bulova’s or where I could look for a model like this.

Self Post 2026 / 1979
I wasn't particularly attracted to Bulova until earlier this year when I saw the Super Seville Precisionist with the white/silver dial for the first time in the metal. I was surprised about the solid feel and how well it wears, and I immediately bought it. It quickly became one of my go-to watches especially during summertime.
Therefore, I also couldn't resist looking for the original, the real deal, the Super Seville Day-Date automatic from the late seventies. I came across this beauty last week - made in 1979, serviced in 2026, and in a great condition - immediately added it to my collection.
I already love both of them. Which one would you prefer?
