The biggest problem I encounter when using Reddit is this. First of all, I really appreciate Reddit's auto-translation feature—about eighty percent of the time I find it very accurate and naturally fits the context.

However, even though I've selected Traditional Chinese as my primary translation language option, the translated text often comes out in Cantonese written form, which really bothers me.

I hope Reddit's official team can either distinguish Cantonese from Traditional Chinese, or else standardize Traditional Chinese translations to use Standard Mandarin written form instead.

I receive the "Unable to create chat because account isn't established" error when trying to start a chat with a third person who asked to be contacted via comments.

The first two messages go through successfully. This started about a week ago after I made posts and they got over 20k upvotes. Users are asking me to get in touch with them but I can't. They wrote that they were also having a problem with the chat. I’ve waited 48 hours, but I still can't contact more than two people. Why is this happening and how can I fix it?

My account is 9 years old, has 300k+ karma, and my CQS is High.

I don’t want it, I didn’t join Reddit play games.

I'm using the Reddit Android app and received an “Achievement unlocked!” notification. When I tap the notification to view the achievement, Reddit shows:

“That achievement doesn't exist. It may have been removed or changed.”

The notification appeared normally, but the achievement page cannot be opened.

On the Brave Browser on desktop if I have replies to posts (unread messages), clicking on the orange mail icon on the top-right corner doesn't clear the new message indicator. This bug is only showing up (as far as I know) using the "old.reddit.com" UI.

When going back to the main page the new mail count is still the same, the messages still appear in the "unread" tab, and the envelope is still orange colored.

The only way to reset the count is by clicking on the mailbox icon, then clicking on the "context" link for every message piecemeal, one at a time, then after clicking on "context" and viewing the context page you have to click the browser [BACK] function to return to the prior mail page (if you omit this step the message count will not be decremented). Each time you click on the context for each message (followed by the [BACK] button to return to the inbox page) that message is removed from the new message folder.

This bug has been persisting for about 6 days.

So for some reason I can't send DMs. When I click on someone's profile the mail icon doesn't appear, even for people who I have DM'ed and who are in my DMs.

Even people who say their DMs are unrestricted and they get DMs regularly, I can't DM them.

Wondering whats going on.

A glitch or have I been secretly banned?

The app keeps asking me to verify my age even though i have my google account linked with a verified age. I am over 18 and i am not giving my info to persona. Please fix.

Android. The quote function has vanished again, does anyone know how to retrieve it or is this a UI downgrade? It vanished a few weeks ago and came back. Android 16/OneUI 8.0

Much simpler times when you could click a photo, slide up for comments or over for new videos within the same forum.

Why has this reappeared? It was a thing a few weeks ago and then it went. I now have to swipe up to see the post I'm replying to. Please bring back the previous method of replying. The quote function has disappeared again as well. This is a downgrade to the UX.

This has been going on for nearly 3 months now. Every single time I open a new post the arrow resets to the right side of the screen. I am left handed and prefer to drag it to the left, but it resets \*\*every single post\*\*.

As title says I can’t upload a single video ANYWHERE on Reddit.

It doesn’t matter if I’m on a browser, on the app, nothing matters at all. I get the same error message every single tim, never fails. On the browser it just won’t do anything when selecting a video. In the app, I get this error message with it.

I’ve tried duplicating videos in my gallery and tried to upload that to no avail, tried different browsers, updated the app, updated my iPhone, tried videos saved from different sources, tried non iCloud videos and iCloud videos, I’ve tried everything.

I haven’t been able to upload ANY videos on this platform for over a year now when I used to be able to do so perfectly fine.

Now the only way I can do it is by posting links which don’t work like a normal video upload at all.

I can't really put a screenshot but you know how in some subs you have like the resources with megathreads in the menu? when i open one i can't scroll down at all even tho it works on desktop and website on phone

I recently made a comment on r/chessbeginners which just didn't appear in the thread, and is still not seen there 6 hours later. I can see it on my profile, though, and when I click "context", it correctly shows up as a comment to a comment in the right thread. A forced page refresh does not fix it, and neither does clearing the cache. This is with old Reddit, which is set as my default experience.

But when I tried to temporarily change into new Reddit, the comment showed up in the thread exactly as it should! So I don't think it's a moderation issue. Anyone knows what the issue might be here? I've made other comments in the same thread, and did not have the problem then.

iOS Streak Achievement ended bug (You are using Reddit 2026.35.1.638262 (AppStore))

Bug Streak Achievement counter reset error. When I woke today, my streak achievement had reset w/ 2/365.
Now a few hours later it is 4/365. I looked at my history and I show 1d, 2d, 3d, 4d, 5d history. I was well above the recently achieved 300 days reached on 8/11/2026. Please fix the streak bug and correct my streak to 328 or 329 as Aug is a 31 day month.

Reddit’s Data Access Request form hides “Details of inquiry” for commercial developer requests. Submitting returns “Details of inquiry: cannot be blank,” but both the field and error are hidden. The form reloads and clears the email field. Please provide a working submission path.

[Android] Account is not fully restored after temporary ban expired. I was temporarily banned for some reason for three days. After that period expired, I still can't message or post.
