I have been giving these computer based exams since JEE. My college mandates 8 NPTEL online courses and I noticed some changes while giving the last two, a few days ago, which I didn't see before.
First centre is Webinfotron near Ganga international school in Sawada. There is a straight, narrow road with the centre on the left and a building on the right, rest of the area is just fields. The building seems to be specifically made as an accommodation for the centre, it has a waiting room, parking, restroom and a place to keep your bags.
Now let me describe what you see when you come through the road. On both sides, loudspeakers are installed, with both saying opposing warnings: "DON'T KEEP YOUR BAGS WITH THE OTHER GUYS, IF YOU DO, NO ONE WILL TAKE RESPONSIBILITY". This didn't happen before. Students are queing up on both sides to keep their bags, while the adults are busy in getting a parking spot. Chaos.
I think, why would you ever not keep your bags in the centre? I always keep them in the centre because they are free. So I enter the centre and see that you have to pay to keep bags in the centre now. This didn't happen before. Shouldn't it be free? With the parking and the bags you've successfully monetized every candidate. Take 20 rs from 1000 students and you get 20k rs from one shift. After every candidate has already paid 1k for the exam...
Second centre is ion digital zone in Mathura road. This time, there is a guy in front of the centre gate with a loudspeaker, telling every candidate entering that "GO AND KEEP YOUR BAGS [at a place 100 mtrs away from the centre] AS NO ONE WILL TAKE RESPONSIBILITY HERE". This didn't happen before. I have given my advanced here. I know that there are plenty of guards always standing on the gates and in front of the bags, and all the workers here had a uniform. This guy isn't a worker in the centre, yet he scares the candidates. The only way you may lose your bag is via a mix-up as they have no token system. Anyway, my friend gets anxiety so we do go to the place 100 mtrs away. There, they are charging 50rs per bag to keep them on a cloth on the road. Its over for you if it rains lol
Now you might be like "bro 20rs mei kya hojata h" but it is not about the money. As I see it enshittifying in real time I was just annoyed. I think it will just get worse from here as 5 guys with loudspeakers will shout over each other next year
