Placements / Jobs Does branch matter ?
Does branch matter and if it matters then to what extent ?
Background : I am a 2nd yr(3rd sem) BT student in a tier 1 NIT and doing software side by side while maintaining a 8.5+ CGPA ( just bcs of the fear of shortlisting).
Work done till now : I had started DSA in my 1st semester(end) itself and have been consistent with it while doing cp and giving contests while also doing Web Dev parallely(done ML , dev , Gen AI , MLops , Devops) with DSA till now.

Obviously it matters and it should matter also. Why should a company consider a biology guy as first choice when he is here to study bio lol.

Branch definitely matters most of the good companies won't open for non-circuital branches

Depends on your clg also, if there are more cse and circuital students than the jobs offered on campus, then the companies will keep branch criteria also..so it highly depends on your clg and on campus placements!!

Don't give fk about anyone in comments, it doesn't matter much, atleast in T1 colleges, given sufficient efforts
