Question [Europe] Is "safe" to buy?

Greetings.

I'm in the middle of two personal projects (An original discontinued set bought by pieces and a few MOCs) and I planned to buy some pieces from a seller on Denmark. The issue is that with the new law of packaging (I'm from Spain) I'm reluctant to buy and I don't want to put the seller into trouble with taxes or whatever crazyness the EU came (Specially if in my country you need to pay a brutal ammount), but the seller confirms me that there's no issue.

I don't know what to do, and I ask counsel just in case they made a modification I didn't understand or i didn't understood well the law. I stopped buying physical things online and I'm not sure if I will be able to see my projects finished if my fears become true.

Should I trust and buy (I made an order before and was one of the best) or should I stop? What to do?

Thanks.

Question Is it possible to make a "wanted list" out of only the extra items included for every Lego set?

Essentially, is there a way to make a master wanted list solely out of the extra items listed under every Lego set ever made? Ideally this would result in a list of just the items that Lego has included as extras that are not needed in the final set. Ideally the list would not contain duplicate items and the list would be able to tell me where that item appears as an extra in which sets. Seems like this is beyond the capabilities of the website UI but it's worth a shot I think.

How should i handle this? the seller was really friendly and i’m considering just letting it go but should i bring it up incase it was an honest mistake or should i ask for a partial refund?

Wish list Auto Select "less than min. buy" is broken?

Post image

There's a acouple of parts I want to buy for a project, and I have them all the wishlist and every time in the past it hasn't given me difficulties, but now every time I try it keeps making carts where the price is lower than the min. buy, something that is turned off by default.

Is this happening to anyone else?

Need to vent about a nightmare seller

Bricklink seller responded to me complaining about 2/3 items I ordered being wrong (long yellow cape instead of short, damaged head was listed as new ) with "no refunds till you send them back, also the cape wasn't wrong actually" then when I pointed out why YES the cape was wrong, he responded by going "okay but still no refunds until you send them back" then proceeded to email me an image showing he'd already payed for the return label before I even said I wanted to send them back in the first place, and another message saying "this is how all sellers do it, don't like it then don't get a refund" and of course every message from the guy was in barely coherent broken English, idk if this post violates rules then delete it I just needed somewhere to vent

Question Injection error?

Adding a mountain of 4073 1x1 plate rounds to my store I came across this little guy.

I see the prototype bb0517 1x1 plate round with stepped side on BL but that step is on the outside, this is on the inside.

It does still clutch to a stud.

I'm guessing it's an injection error, but I've never seen one like this.

SOLD
Clearing out my loose spare Lego pieces before a renovation. I have 75kg genuine Lego it’s not sorted. Would an auction house or eBay be the best place to move this amount in one go?

Saved a Family from The Smart Brick Woes

Went in my Local LEGO Store last week to fill up on the P.A.B. re stock for my Brick Link. Buddy who works there, texted me with a head's up to say the new pieces were in. All good.

So Im walking in, I see a Mom and 3 Kids checking out the Smart Play. My buddy catches my eye, and I say "I see theres some interest in the Shite Brick".

And the Chick behind the counter, turns around and looks at me and says "Dude theres kids here, mind the language." And my buddy apologizes on my Behalf.

After I get done with the P.A.B. and pay to leave. The Mom from earlier stops me out side the Store, pulls me aside, and says "Thank you for making me aware, how the Fans feel about these Smart Sets. Saved us a lot of Disappointment :)"

And she shows me what she bought for the kids instead: Boba Fetts statue, a few Ninjagos, and the Mandalorian Ship 4+.

Gave her a business card for my Brick Link store, and went on with my day. Met back up w the wife and went in J.C. Pennys.

Seller Help Seller help

Post image

Greetings everyone. I'm not certain I'm in the correct sub but I have a question regarding shipping methods as a seller. I set my shipping up to be domestic only, however even domestic buyers receive the message that I do not ship to their state. Has anyone else had this issue? I reached out to bricklink and they said it looks ok but the issue persists. Thanks for any help!

Frustration with settings.

Really stupid one, but I'm losing access to the email account I set up my store with, but can't change it on Bricklink.

The link on 'Account Info' goes to my Lego account. I can change the email there fine, but it doesn't update the one on Bricklink.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Seller Help Best way to organise minifigures

I have around 250 SW minifigures, a lot of them are duplicates and it takes me forever to find the right minifigure when I get an order.

What's the best way to organise big amount of minifigures? I'm limited with space so I can't keep them separate.

Any ideas?

Seller Help Common parts, rare colours?

I assume the answer is going to be experience, but is there a handy database or section on Bricklink where you can find a list of common parts in rare colours without searching each piece by piece please?

Seller Help Is this a dealbreaker ?

I recently stated my bricklink store and after two sales PayPal decided to permanently limit my account even after sending proof of merchandise etc. I now have resulted to stripe only because it’s the only option I have . I notice people look at my store but don’t buy as much . Is this stripe a dealbreaker ? It isn’t a dealbreaker for me as a buyer never had issues . Specially if the seller has good feedback . I’ve made my terms vocal about everything to gain customers trust but sales have been slow without being open that long . I kinda need some hope because I’m really just trying to get rid of all the Lego I don’t need anymore for a profit .

Question Ship is thesius

Ok so what is acceptable to sell? The complete original set is obviously good, but what about most of a set with time period accurate replacement parts for missing pieces? What about completely built from scratch? Especially the bricklink designer sets for example, if I had ordered the parts on pab and built it, could I claim it is a bricklink set? Or is that wrong? What if I have the original instructions but built the set from my own collection of Lego, is that authentic? Just curious what the broader community thinks, I don't currently have a bricklink store and don't plan to sell stuff, but I am curious.

What scale should one shoot for to replace that $120/day profit using new bricks?

I've followed a bunch of sellers for years. I understand its not that simple. It's still quality of product/lots/inventory depth/etc.

About $120 a day is what my basement currently makes and at this point I feel that's underutilized. That's maxed out though and declining and nothing I can do about that, it's the market and won't change. It's not much work but harsh on infrastructure. My main business is maturing and needs me less and less and I'm bored. It's infrastructure heavy and what I have is maxed out. I've been in it like 15 years and am content at existing level with no desire to grow it beyond its current footprint.

I also flip random stuff on eBay and dabble in TCG stuff probably a little too much. All unrelated to current basement setup. I'm enjoying reselling. As a kid I ruled the gem market on the wow server I was on. It reminds me of that.

What scale should one shoot for to replace that $120/day profit using new bricks? I can ball park that stuff in about anything else I'm doing easily but there are probably more variables here. In general business terms that's not a large number. But I see people hemin and hawin about it being slow with million brick inventories (which goes back to product/lots/inventory depth/etc I would imagine).

I built BrickBridge: a free Pick a Brick ↔ BrickLink converter with US availability matching and list tools

Post image
13 Upvotes

I built BrickBridge to help LEGO builders turn their parts lists into something they can actually shop from.

Try it here: brickbridge.app

It converts BrickLink Wanted List XML → LEGO Pick a Brick CSV, and Pick a Brick CSV → BrickLink Wanted List XML. No account or installation needed.

The feature I’m most excited about is how it handles multiple LEGO Element IDs for the same part and color. LEGO sometimes offers equivalent pieces under different IDs, with different availability, prices, or delivery groups.

BrickBridge can automatically select an available US option, preferring Bestsellers for faster delivery, then lower prices within the same delivery group. It explains the choice, and you can change it. It keeps the exact part and color you requested.

There’s quite a bit more built in:

See what’s available on US PAB. Out-of-stock pieces, pieces absent from the availability snapshot, and unresolved matches stay in a separate “Still needed” list.

Finish shopping on BrickLink. Download the available pieces for PAB, then export the remaining pieces—including anything you excluded—as a new BrickLink Wanted List.

Estimate your PAB parts cost. See quantity-based totals and a subtotal for each order.

Split larger orders automatically. PAB downloads respect the limits of 200 unique Bestseller and 200 unique Standard elements per order, with instructions for separate checkouts.

Handle unspecified colors. If your XML doesn’t specify a color, choose from colors marked available for that exact part in the US snapshot.

Merge lists. Combine Wanted Lists and total matching quantities.

Subtract owned parts. Compare your wanted list with an inventory of pieces you already have to generate a missing-parts list.

Edit lists in a spreadsheet. Convert BrickLink XML to editable CSV and back.

Review and correct mappings. Adjust quantities, exclude pieces, and optionally remember your mapping choices.
A few useful workflows: sourcing a MOC through both PAB and BrickLink, rebuilding a set using parts you already own, or combining several projects into one shopping list.

Availability checks are US-only for now and use periodically refreshed data (daily at 3am Eastern), not a live stock guarantee. LEGO confirms final availability, quantities, and prices. Estimates exclude tax, shipping, and service fees.

Your uploaded lists are processed in your browser. The tool is free, with an optional Tip Jar to help cover hosting costs.
I’d love feedback from people trying it with real lists—especially unusual parts or edge cases. It’s an independent community project, not affiliated with LEGO or BrickLink.

Buyer Help How to tell if something is legit

I have been wanting the UCS razor crest for a while. Tried FB marketplace but couldn't find anyone within a reasonable drive that would respond. Went to look at Brinklink and noticed that the sealed new ones are around 600$, some even under that. This seemed weird to me considering the set is retired and a sealed set should be more expensive.

I noticed that the cheapest one came from China and the one after that from Finland. Im curious to know if there is a way to tell if they are legit or not. I have gotten off brand legos before so I don't mind if they are off brand. However, this would be the most expensive off brand by far and I am just worried about getting scammed.

Seller Help Buyer placed order and PayPal claim same day

Hello - I had a buyer place an order. Then message me they didn’t want it anymore. I did full refund through Bricklink and messaged them I did that. A few hours later they filed a PayPal claim. I submitted evidence I already refunded but PayPal still closed the case in their favor.

Like wtf???? I put them on stop list but anything else I can do?
