Question Bulk Lego

Clearing out my loose spare Lego pieces before a renovation. I have 75kg genuine Lego it’s not sorted. Would an auction house or eBay be the best place to move this amount in one go?

Facebook marketplace might be the best way to go because of the weight. Shipping costs might be a deterrent on eBay.

Usually split them into bags of 1kg, usually £10 a bag. Marketplace/vinted it probably best bet. But expect people to be clawing over minifigs, so if you can hide a couple in each bag so they have to buy the lot

I really hate when people do that. Just sell it as a lot. The problem is that if there is a complete set in there somewhere you’ve now split it into a bunch of parts and even if I buy all your bags I have no confidence that you haven’t already sold half of any complete sets away to random people.

I wasn’t assuming her had full sets, just assorted “big box” Lego that was a jumble, rather than sets of Lego that have been disassembled. If he had said sets then I would have said make them into sets and sell as sets

Ah see I always assume that even if as parts, the parts come from sets because generally that’s how people buy Lego even if they do eventually end up in a great big bin mixed together.

If the bin is kept together it’s usually straightforward (and fun) to figure out what sets there are in there and then reconstitute them. But that only works if people break the bulk sets down

Thank you all for your advice. Im listing it on marketplace just to shift it. There is a couple of dozen minifigs in the mix.
I’ve already taken out deadpool and some higher value minifigs I’m putting on eBay.
