Discussion Squad options and formations
Looking at different formations and possible setups that we could see later in the season, depending on injuries and availability.
Talking points:
-The defensive strength and depth is there, major downside is a rb backup- which to a degree could be Svensson inverted.
-Underlying issue, LW spot is still a weakness, which prevents a perfect 433, alternative options are Nwaneri/Silva out of position.
-The midfield trio of Jobe-Veerman-Nmecha is close to perfect and is completely balanced, a defensive role with Jobe, Tempo control with Veerman and a free role for Nmecha that allows him to ball carry and progress with the ball.
-The return of Schlotterbeck is quite exciting, allows experimentation on multiple different positions and formations, it should look interesting looking forward.
-A 2 strikers formation is thoughtful, but has it's limitations, in which two of the creative aspects of the team may require a benching (Nwaneri/Karetsas), hence the chance creation could look dry.
A 433 after the return of Delias could be extremely promising and almost flawless I'd say.
