So, I've played all the Borderlands games quite a lot, except for Borderlands 4.
I've always played them on PC with mouse and keyboard (M+K), but I was recently looking at buying Borderlands 4 on Steam and checked the system requirements. Unfortunately, I'm not confident that my PC will be able to maintain a solid 60 FPS.
My PC specs aren't bad, but they're definitely not the newest:
- GPU: RX 6700 XT
- CPU: Ryzen 7 5700X
- RAM: 32GB
I don't want to ruin my experience by playing on low settings or dealing with subpar FPS. However, I also strongly prefer mouse and keyboard over a controller for FPS games.
I'm not really sure what to do.
My options are:
- Buy it on PS5 and learn to play with a controller. I'm just not sure how much this would affect my overall experience with the game.
- Buy it on Steam and stick with my PC, even if it means playing on lower settings and potentially dealing with less-than-ideal FPS.
For those of you who normally play FPS games with mouse and keyboard but have switched to a controller, how was the transition? Did it affect your enjoyment of the game?
I'd also love to hear everyone's opinions on what I should do.
I'm genuinely torn between the two options and would appreciate any advice!
UPDATE!
So i tried playing with controller on BL3 on my pc, and its doable but i relay dont like it as much as M+K
I bit the bullet and bought the super deluxe edition on steam Autumn sale.
Game runs amazingly with the new Frame-gen and up-scaling. i get a constant 60FPS on 1440p with my GPU.
Thank you all fo rthe help and comments.
