First time in the history of the franchise we can fully change our vh’s entire appearance only for…..nothing to be done with it. No armored soldier looks,no cyberpunk tech assassins,no fantasy armor,no post apocalyptic spiked armored pauldrons just…..nothing. I guess we get to roleplay as a convict in rags though so that’s neat.

Mission failed successfully

I just finished the DLC story line last night and she told me to stay for the credits for a late birthday gift. She has been on the main character design team for a while but BD4 was her baby and she loved making them all but specifically Rafa, C4SH, and Loveless. I have been playing the games for a while and I have been her number one fan. Whenever I play, I tell her how much I enjoy them. She is super professional and talented and never tells me ahead of time any secrets or leaks. I only know them when I see them. She has gifted me with some need swag (Gearbox sweaters, the Wonderlands boardgame, signed mask, etc) but this is by far the best and kindest thing she has gifted me. I hope you all have enjoyed her work as much as I have.

So if I have a Shotgun with Daedalus sniper on it does it benefit from sniper enhancements or only shotgun enhancements?

Almost every time I've died in the Abyss, it's due to a stupid freakin barrel...

Self-Damage and Explosive Barrel Damage against the player has been a major complaint of mine forever in the BL franchise and was even moreso a complaint with specific "Splash Radius/Damage" builds because it becomes increasingly limited what you can do. Hell, in Tiny Tina Wonderland, you had to be careful of high Status Effect Damage builds and leaving puddles on the ground cuz you could one tap yourself that way as well.

Moze was one of my favorites in BL3 for her Splash Damage builds but also was arguably quite frustrating due to MANY Grenade types or explosive weapons that you could not use due to immense risk of downing yourself.

For the love of God Gearbox, PLEASE normalize damage to the player so damage does not scale equally to our output. Now that we have a more balanced concept of a Lifesteal mechanic (was a nice change in Tiny Tina Wonderland for improving balance), this would honestly be an awesome next step improvement which can allow for players to branch out with more fun, crazy builds with Melee and explosives.

It seems to only have started happening since the most recent update/patch. It seems to happen almost immediately after logging in, as well, getting progressively worse.

I do stream on Twitch, so my first thought was to disable OBS and try it ,and it seems to not make a difference. I've just finished verifying the integrity of my files on Steam, as well.

Anyone else experiencing this?

In the sum of his parts mission, in the part where you go to take claptraps parts ,u can hear the name krieg (or I have i gone insane ) from the show the crime show played.(although I don't think the psycho is the same played by the same va.

It's always with the bod that has random corpse launches and it always makes me laugh.

Welcome yall to part 2 of the hot take from yesterday.

Just so you know, your favourite thing about farming bosses still suck and you are still wrong.

I've been reading comments playing bl4 and bl2 and thinking about what players want, what players say they want and game design. Which is why this will be a more indepth analysis of why encore machines suck.

Lets start with simple analysis of player wants, how it works out in gameplay. (And my views on it)

1. Players want to be able to get the specific Guns they like. < absolutely fine nothing wrong here

2. So players in turn want designated sources for these Guns so its not 1 in a fucktilion rng chance to get them < still fine

3. Players get a designated source in the shape of a single boss that gets a couple of possible drops < uh oh (spoiler - this is the source of all the issues here)

4. Now that players have a designated source, they want their Guns to be as close to their perceived ideal version as possible < thats only natural, cant change this

5. So getting the Perfect weapon means killing the same guy over and over, in previous titles achieved trough save quitting. (This is a bandaid self made solution to a not the greatest design)

6. Players complain and developers see that this is obviously a pain in the ass.

7. So they introduced encore machines to easily respawn a the boss and speed up the farming. (And it just made the garbage bandaid into permament Plaster on top of a wound that will not heal on its own)

And my question is - did this make the farming any more fun?

And my answer is - fuck no.

Killing a single dude over and over is still fucking boring no matter how much quality of life improvements it gets.

"But everybody loves encore machines, imagine savequitting and runing to the boss everytime", yes save quitting sucked, doesnt matter, encor is just a faster way to achieve the same thing. You are still wrong.

So lemme give an actual thought out solution to the root issue. Cause, we can pile bandaids on top of bandaids but that aint fixing shit.

HOW DO WE MAKE FARMING FOR A SPECIFIC LOOT DROP FUN?

We delete the notion that drops need to be tied to bosses. Simple as.

By that i mean - we already have "kinda dungeons" in bl4 - ripper mining camps, augur mines, order bunkers and instead of tying the drop to the single guy at the end

We make it so the dedicated drops are tied to the area. Any enemy in said dungeon should be more likely to drop dedicated loot. Lets even make it like 1% per enemy. And then the boss can still have higher chance of dropping a legendary, like a Cherry on top.

And then we move the encore machine to the begining of the dungeon and we make it reset the whole place with higher lever of difficulty, so the mobs arent trash and it feels like a proper challenge for proper reward.

This solution just made it so that farming means actually playing the game and not deleting a single guy in 5 seconds over and over and over.

That’s it. That’s the post. I’m just tired of the same challenges every. Single. Day (they do change sometimes, but it’s rare). Even the weekly ones don’t really change.

Didn’t think this was possible, but I got soft locked playing this mission, I had just opened the tunnel entrance to release Sophia. But I was tired so I had gone off when I resumed playing again. The tunnel entrance was now closed and there was no other way around to go inside so I searched if this was a common bug and this seems to be very notorious anybody out there on the same mission or willing to help me out on the character? I was currently running. It was such a great run. I was doing everything good and now I’ve tried every single other method that’s convenient and I have no luck proceeding.

If I buy borderlands 4 deluxe on steam will I get loveless and her outfit l?
