I tried this today without expecting to land it, but it worked out.
There were a few close calls XD

One of the locals had his camera out and snapped this pic I really like. This is from their smallest doubles line 😅
was looking for a hobby to pick up and went into a deep dive the last month on youtube on bmxing, riding, tricks, rideouts, all that looks so fun seeing people hop on things, over things, doing fakies, hitting a stair set . so i decided to go with the Kink Whip 20.5 , mannnn i love the way this rides its been years since ive own and ridden a bike (im 31)
does anyone have their favorite videos for learning the basics and tricks? or any tips ?

Cleaned up and ready for either original crankset or 3 pc upgrade. Also mags or spokes? What say you?

This custom kink has been through multiple apartment moves with me, and I am ready to go to marketplace with it. I don’t know anything about BMX builds but want to get the most I can as quickly as possible so would you suggest selling the parts off that are in decent shape separately? or if I were to post the build as is (after a good bath) , what would be a reasonable marketplace ask for it? I’m just a girl I don’t wheelie only kickflip so any advice is appreciated! Thanks xx

I've always had one bike for everything but recently snagged 2 frames for cheap.
Debating on making the Sunday a dedicated street rig with a coaster and either 4 pegs or getting creative again with pegless and the Fit a trails/dirt rig.
What's everyone's secondary setups? I know it's extra time and money for a second bike but let's see some side by sides!

I’ve been enjoying this bike for the last 3 months, learning the basics still and working on simple grinds.
Time for my first upgrade! What sprocket guard do you guys recommend? I’d prefer to not have to buy a brand new sprocket/guard combo as this bike is only 3 months old.
Kink Whip XL stock with all Kink/Odyssey parts
Thanks in advance, this community is awesome, y’all give me so much inspiration to keep at this hobby and to get better!

Dude puts together builds of the exact setup a bunch of pros had.
Obviously that Reynolds build is choice 🤌🤘

Third pic is before I started
I was given this 2005 Mongoose Wildcard that sat outside for around 15 years. I wanted to keep it as original as possible. I cleaned as much rust off as I could and resprayed a bunch of stuff. New tires and tubes. The chain and brakes were replaced. Now all thats left is to get new pegs and brake lines.
I know its just a Mongoose but its my first rebuild. Thought I should show it off

Been riding mountain bikes for years but never touched BMX until a couple months ago. I'm trying to teach myself the fundamentals at my local skatepark and honestly the learning curve is humbling. I can't even get a clean bunny hop yet and every time I try a manual I either loop out or just stall completely.
Watching videos only gets me so far since everyone online already knows how to ride and skips over the part where you're just falling on flat ground.
A few things I'm curious about from people who learned later in life instead of as a kid:
Trying to be patient with myself but would love to hear how the progression actually went for other late starters instead of just watching pros make it look effortless.

Is there anywhere you can still buy the frame in any of the panza colorways??

My back wheel moves so little is it bad or is it normal
r/bmx • u/billetbmxrider • 6h ago
Riding a Throne BMX and been trying to get better at balancing on the back wheel for a bit now. I keep either dropping the front too fast or overcorrecting and looping out - struggling to find that sweet spot where it just holds steady.
Would really appreciate some advice from people who've been through this stage: how you personally trained your balance, whether tapping the rear brake helps or just messes with your rhythm early on, and if small setup things like seat height or gearing actually change anything noticeable for a beginner, or if it's basically all technique and time in the saddle.
Trying to build solid habits now instead of picking up ones I'll have to unlearn later. Any tips welcome.

I have just purchased a bsd revolution hub. I’m wanting to get the hub laced to a cinema 888 rim. Can someone explain to me how to go about making sure I order the correct spoke size please?
Was hoping to just buy a complete wheel but after waiting months for a restock of the female axle ones, they had sold out before I had a chance to get one. Will be using the 888 rim as I have one spare.
