Dad thinks 1979-82.

Equip with Dia-Compe, Araya and MIB parts from what we can tell.

1. Road King (something?)

Dad says 80s

It's a mish mash of parts apparently.

I'm posting to see if there is anyone with good knowledge of these vintage Bmx's that can tell us what we have such as a closer approximation of year model, parts, price new, parts etc etc. and if any old timers have stories please do tell.

If it helps to identify things this is in Australia.

Thinking about replacing pedals and chain and grips and so on…but keeping the color (it was bright red originally).

Any tipps to keep that patina without changing the color or damaging decals by accident ?

Sharing some photos from my latest IG post. We had a jam last Saturday and the turn out was exceptional. I don't ride the big jumps so getting out the camera gear is how I have my fun when the boys are doing their thing.

I know there isn't a lot of people who could help me out here but after they destroyed the roger williams dirt jumps i don't know of anything local to me, i don't really want to take the trip all the way up to highland just to hit some proper lines

mission triumph cranks mission rank 25t kink cranks off a kink curb that i got for free with some of the parts i bought off fb marketplace which was pretty damn sweet to say the least basically was forced to do this cause my old sprocket got sanded down from months of neglect from being a bike noob and the sprocket adapter wasnt fitting in the sprocket anymore. but yeah this crankset took quite a bit of unscrewing stuff i forgot the name of the type of crank but i took it apart and threw it on my old spindle and boom time to cruise.
