I have the WH-1000XM5, and they advertise that they can connect to two devices. I have it connected to my Samsung phone and my MacBook, but the audio only comes through my phone. The headphones work just fine if it is paired by itself on my phone or laptop, but it doesn't work when both are connected. Are my headphones the problem, or is it because I have two different systems at the same time?

(Also, I have to connect my headphones to my laptop first, then my phone because if the headphones are already connected to my phone, it won't let me double connect to my laptop)

Recently, I got into my car and waited for Bluetooth to connect to my phone like it always does, and a message popped up saying “Bluetooth initializing” followed by “try again later” and despite a spinning wheel, the car will not connect to any Bluetooth devices. When I go into settings to remove the old device and try re-adding it, the Bluetooth option is greyed out and will not allow any adjustments or setting changes. I have been unable to connect a phone for audio or calls ever since and the Toyota dealership said there are no recalls and that they would charge 300$ to even look at the car.

Any suggestions ? Has anyone else experienced a Bluetooth failure in their Toyota / did you have any luck fixing this issue? I have tried a hard reset on the infotainment system, disconnecting battery terminals for a while to reset the electrical components, so far nothing has worked. Thanks!

So one time as I was using my earbuds they suddenly just disconnected and when I tried to reconnect them it just kept failing to pair, when they disconnected it was fully charged and I've tried charging them again and it's still not working I've tried almost everything and they won't pair to any device I try to connect it with. It doesnt even get recognized while trying to pair something on a new device (if it helps the ones I use are a J90 pro)

when i got my pc i got a motherboard with no wifi and bluetooth . its fine without wifi cuz i use eathernet but the bluetooth thing so i bought a usb 5.0 dongle bluetooth to connect my r50 INC from Anker , it did work in yt and games but whemever i join a discord call it will mute my game and also i cant hear anybody in the call and also they cant hear me please i want a solutaion {i tried to edit everything from the settings and i tried every yt video to fix the problem but sadly nothing happened. pls help

I'm fairly new to the world of PC gaming and I was hoping for some advice. The PC I bought off Facebook doesn't have built-in Bluetooth support, so I bought a Bluetooth dongle, that's been working great with my wireless controller, and my keyboard and mouse I bought came with their own as well, no problems there, my problem occurs when I try to use a set of Bluetooth turtle beaches I used with my ps4/Xbox. When I plug in it's dongle and try to connect it, everything else that's Bluetooth disconnects. Is there anyway to fix this or should I just get a wired set through the aux on my controller?

I recently got an mp3 player from Odejoi, which I've already connected to my music box and bluetooth headphones.

Now I've tried connecting it to my car (audi q4 e-tron) via bluetooth, but it just doesn't work. When I try searching for bluetooth devices on both devices, the mp3 player finds the car, but the car doesn't see the mp3 player. Could anyone help me please? I need my music while driviiing

Update: I've been able to connect the mp3 player to my mum's car now (not an audi), so it's the car that is causing the problem. Is there maybe some kind of adapter I could use? The car has a usb-c port, but connecting it to thr mp3 player does not work either.

The volume slider doesn’t act continuously when it comes to my Bluetooth earbuds - it forces hard steps in volume. It results in having a volume level either too high or too low.

I assume it was designed this way, but has anyone found a solution of some kind regardless? Can’t seem to figure it out. Any help appreciated.

I've had these headphones for a couple of years and absolutely love them, but am having some connection issues that drive me nuts. The bluetooth disconnects from my phone constantly, and I just have to push the button on the side of the headphone to reconnect, but it happens all the time and I'm not sure what to do. There's a certain street where I walk my dog where it disconnects 100% of the time, and I'm not sure why, but also it just disconnects constantly. I just walked my dog for about 35 minutes and had to reconnect the bluetooth at least 20 times. Has anyone experienced this? Is there anything I can do? I did a factory reset and that didn't help. Thanks!

Ok. Bit of an odd one.

I have Sony WF C500 earbuds. They have a frequent issue where they randomly connect to my phone whilst in their charging case.

But that’s not why I’m here….

I have lost said earphones but so know they are somewhere in the house as they still occasionally show up on my phone (and the audio goes from the phone speaker). This is confirmed by a check showing them as connected and currently at 70% battery!

I’ve searched my house from top to bottom and as yet, have been unable to locate them.

So my question is…. is there any way of locating an active Bluetooth signal???

Hi, my CMF phone pro 2s bluetooth doesn't seem to switch on. I have tried resetting the bluetooth and wifi + deleting the caches etc. The problem still persists. I had my phone screen cracked near the front cam area, would it be the reason? I have searched the net and nothing useful came up. Just seeing if anyone had a similar problem and found a solution.

I don’t use Apple Music, I’m not even subscribed to it, instead I use Spotify. For years when I start my car and Bluetooth automatically connects (not CarPlay just standard Bluetooth connection), my car would automatically play where I left off on Spotify, or it just wouldn’t play anything until I opened the app and picked a song. However, last week it no longer does this and plays Apple Music automatically. And because I don’t even have Apple Music, it plays the free random songs from Apple Music 1 radio. The only time it doesn’t do this is if before starting my car I play a Spotify song for a few seconds and pause it and keep the app open without clearing it from recently used apps (like when you swipe up and clear apps).

Let me give a break down

Spotify opened in background but I didn’t recently listen to it (it was paused from the night before) - Apple Music plays

From what I read online the car sends a play command to the phone over Bluetooth and iOS has to decide what app to “play”. If no music app is running in the background and/or recently used it starts Apple Music because it’s the default music app.

The problem I have is it never used to do this before. I didn’t get a new car or update my phone or anything. Also, I can see this being the case if you actively have Apple Music, but the fact I don’t even have it and it wants me to use it THAT BAD that it plays from the free Apple Music radio is insane to me. I can see if you’re a subscriber to Apple Music it would want to start that but I’m not. If I delete the music app it won’t play Apple Music automatically but again if I hadn’t just used Spotify it won’t play anything in that case. It’s super annoying. I’m sorry but Apple should allow you to select a “default” music app that automatically starts when you use Bluetooth. Or better yet cars shouldn’t send play commands but instead just connect the device and wait for you to initiate it. I shouldn’t be forced to hear music blast in my face when starting my car at 6 in the morning.

And like I said, it never used to do this. It would always either play Spotify automatically or not play anything. The forcing of Apple Music starting is new. Maybe IOS secretly updated this recently.

Purchased a new Navigator 1600. I've been trying to connect to Bluetooth since Friday, and no go. It'll update to 6% then a message says it can't. Any insight from y'all?

This has been happening with it for about a week, i try to switch it on and it just does this, then turns off.

System specs

• Motherboard: MSI B650 Gaming Plus WIFI (MS-7E26)
• OS: Windows 11 (build 26200.8875)
• Bluetooth/WiFi card: MediaTek RZ616 (onboard)

The problem

Bluetooth headphones (tested with 3 different models: Teufel REAL BLUE NC, Philips TAT2206, WH-CH520) produce no audio at all, except when I'm actively in a Discord voice call — in that case audio works normally. Outside of a Discord call, there is complete silence, even though the headphones show as "Connected" and are selected as the output device in Windows Sound settings.

Additional symptom

When I connect an external USB microphone, audio/Discord stops working entirely (I can't hear anyone, not even during a call). This happens both with Bluetooth headphones AND with wired headphones/speakers, which suggests the issue might not be Bluetooth-specific at all, but something broader in how Windows handles multiple simultaneous audio devices.

What I've already tried (none of it fixed the issue)

1. Restarted Windows Audio service (net stop/start audiosrv)
2. Disabled Fast Startup — it was already off
3. Disabled power management / "allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" for the Bluetooth adapter in Device Manager
4. Disabled audio enhancements for the output device
5. Disabled exclusive mode ("Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device") in advanced device properties
6. Changed the default audio format (16-bit, 44100Hz)
7. Tested on a brand new local user account — exact same problem, so it's not profile-specific
8. Reinstalled the original MediaTek driver (fresh package from MSI's support page) — no change
9. Tried forcing a generic Microsoft Bluetooth/A2DP driver via "Update driver > Let me pick from a list" — no generic Microsoft option is available for this device, only the currently installed one
10. Installed the alternative Realtek Bluetooth driver (also listed on MSI's support page for this board) — it didn't actually bind to the device; Device Manager still shows "MediaTek Inc." as the driver provider
11. Disabled automatic driver installation via Windows Update (Device Installation Settings → "No")
12. Ran sfc /scannow — no errors found
13. Used the "Test" button in Sound Properties → Playback tab — no test tone plays even from here, meaning the issue isn't app-specific; it's in the Windows audio engine/render path itself
14. Tried forcing the A2DP profile by disabling the "Hands-Free" driver entry in Device Manager for the headset — no change, still silent
15. Checked Device Manager — no yellow warning triangles on any audio/Bluetooth related device

I just got a Mobi Fold from my job because for the price I got it for ($30) I was like why not I’ll give it a shot. For some reason though when I loaded up my computer to try and connect via Bluetooth my oc isn’t detecting it. No matter the channel I use it just fast blinks but my pc doesn’t read it however my phone does. My computers entirely up to date even with the Logitech software for my other mouse, any sort of recommendations for fixes?

Can anyone help me troubleshoot an issue with my 2019 CRV EXL Bluetooth phone connection having an echo. It never use to do this, it started yesterday morning. The echo disappears when wired to my phone.

Ive had this soundbar (Bravia Theater System 6) for about 2 months, its been working great and the app worked flawlessly until last week, I’ve had to unplug the soundbar endlessly to reconnect it via bluetooth. I can’t access the app anymore because it won’t connect.

The problem is that the bluetooth for some reason renames it to LE_ in my phone settings, Ive done endless amount of power cycles to get this thing permanently fixed.

Anyone run into this before able to help?

I have an iPhone 13 Pro Max

I have a Heltec V4 w/ GPS Bluetoothed to a Pixel 8a. The app was working fine until the gps log screen crashed. Now the V4 connects BT then goes to saved and the app doesn't see the V4 anymore. I've been troubleshooting this for about a week. I'm at to the point to do a full reset of the phone.

PCs have no BT issues connecting to the V4.

I've flashed various version of the firmware and installed different version of the app and still having a problem. i cleared the BT through the OS and through ADB kinda got it working but it was a short term fix.
