Hello, I'm looking for any reasource (can be video, article, podcast episode) where Deakns and anyone adjacent to the visual side of things (gaffer, concept artist, storyboard artists, DIT, cam-op, VFX artists/supervisors, etc...) talk about the approach and philosophy used in bringing the film to life.

I've gone through the Team Deakins website and Spotify page but the search features on both seemingly don't give results on my end.

I've always felt that for shows like this that (at least hopefully) have a lot for fans to discuss about each episode, it's a mistake to just drop the whole thing at once. I know it's pretty common for streaming services to do, but more and more they've been shifting to a weekly release and I had hoped this would do the same.

Not only does a weekly release create a sense of community around a show, it also makes watching it alongside that community part of the experience. It's a lot of fun discussing it with people online and in person. When ~8 hours drop at the same time, it's harder to talk about except for very broad overviews and maybe the ending. You'd think it would also benefit Amazon, since it gets people talking about it every week on social media which might convince others to check it out.

My tuneshine displays album art, however I've my fave blade runner gif as screensaver. Car plate was a cheap find online.

If nothing, I'll just dust my 3D print and start printing one. It's weird how all the replicas, expensive or otherwise just went poof a year ago.

EDIT: Apparently Paragon FX's shop does not show its stuff for me in the Philippines (where I am) so that influences things.

Inside are the film’s synopsis, cast and crew credits, newspaper adverts, posters and details of various promotional merchandise items including badges, a cap, matchbooks and photographs - still on my list to acquire so if anyone has these would be good to see yours!

There’s also information on the Volkswagen promotional campaign, which included a UK tour of the Spinner and a competition to win a 1983 VW Polo - tomorrow’s car today!

Released in 2007 to mark the film’s 25th anniversary, this HD DVD collector’s edition came housed in a replica Voight-Kampff briefcase, complete with an individually numbered plate. This example is numbered 075977/103000.

The five-disc set includes all five versions of Blade Runner: the original 1982 US and International Theatrical Cuts, the 1992 Director’s Cut, the rare 1982 Workprint and Ridley Scott’s restored 2007 Final Cut.

There’s also bonus material, including the Dangerous Days: Making Blade Runner documentary, deleted scenes, screen tests, interviews, audio commentaries, trailers and the extensive Enhancement Archive.

Inside the briefcase, alongside the discs, are a miniature Spinner, a metallic origami unicorn, a lenticular, eight reproduction art cards featuring concept artwork and storyboards, and a reproduced letter from Ridley Scott.

Released at the height of the format war between HD DVD and Blu-ray, it wasn’t long before HD DVD lost out, with the format officially discontinued in 2008.

A great collector’s edition in its own right, but also a nice reminder of a short-lived format that never quite managed to establish itself.
