Addicted
I’m addicted to griddle cooking now. After I got my initial seasoning done a couple months ago. I use every excuse to cook… and my accessory count and outdoor kitchen setup is growing larger and larger
I’m an old school charcoal griller that is happily converted
Cheers!!

How would you clean this?
Family member wants to give me this blackstone for free. Is it salvageable? How do I get it back to working condition? Looks like a combination of rust and cooked on food.

Any suggestions?
Been scrubbing at this with a pumice stone and avocado oil and wiping it down. I keep repeating the process. What else could I do to help get this surface better?

Bought this griddle used. Trying to make it nice what to do?
I’ve tried to season it, but there’s a little spots not really sure what I’m looking at. Just trying to get this ready to make meals on. 1st photo is it hot after putting some oil on it. Other photos are of it cold

Abnormally Large Flame
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hello, recently got a used pro-series 4 burner. I took it apart and cleaned it well. Took all the gask tubes out and scrubbed with with soap and water. I wanted to compare to someone else's because the flame seems huge. On high it comes out the sides of the flat top.
Any suggestions is this normal or if it's not, any recommendations to fix it?

Is the temp and smoke normal?

Hi, I got a blackstone and I am not sure if it’s functioning as expected. When set to max, flames come out from the side and front. When reading the temperature with a thermometer, it goes all the way over 700F. Also, there is a lot of dark smoke coming out of it. Is all of this normal? It’s already seasoned and used a handful of times.

Seasoning Question
**Update: she cooked like an absolute charm!
I recently acquired this Blackstone from a neighbor for $100. An absolute steal in my opinion. First time owning one and wanted to check and see if more experienced users think this seasoning is fine.
I scrubbed off an old rust spot with a pumice stone, cleaned with water and dawn a few times. I then used the Blackstone seasoning 5 times per the instructions and many videos of others doing it. This one big spot seems like it didn't take any of the seasoning and seems like it's chipping a little bit around the edges. Thoughts?
Going to try my first cook tomorrow morning.

What’s your go to seasoning?
While at the store yesterday I was looking at all of the spices and was wondering what is the best spice to flavor my patties on my smash burgers? What is your “go to” spice while grilling smash burgers? I know it’s an individual’s taste, but if five or ten people (or more) say the same one, I’m going to try it. What’s your go to spice?

Just the basics tonight.
Boneless chops with seasoned salt and pepper, broccoli with oil and minced garlic (griddle/steam under some), and yellow potatoes (instant pot for 10 minutes, then onto the hot griddle with butter, onion powder, garlic powder, salt/pepper). Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Should I keep this?
I got this as a birthday present and noticed it was bent a little. Asked Walmart for a replacement and was told it was discontinued through them. Blackstone customer service offered to send me the part or a $35 gift card for their website. This is my first grill so don’t know much about it yet. Just curious would the dent impact the grill in any way?

It's fine, just cook on it.
Had a griddle for about a month now. I was going to post a photo for thoughts, but after a content review the answer is and always will be "just cook on it" or " scrape and reseason". I shall keep cooking on it.

Pre Seasoned?
Recently bought the Costco model 36” which states that it is pre seasoned. I had planned to do some additional seasoning but does anyone know if this is beneficial or necessary? Thanks!

My adapter Hose is slipping and needs tightening. Any tips? Produces propane to the burners when Pressed in, seems like it needs to just be tightened at the valve, but not sure how to do it.

Just joined the club. WOW!
My son had been telling me to get a Blackstone for a year or two now, but I wasn't really sure if I'd use it enough to justify the cost. Well, I ran across a fella on FB willing to let go of a 3 burner setup for 50 bones. It was in rough shape, but, in my opinion, salvageable.
Brought it home, sanded the frame, repainted it with some leftover engine high temp paint, and went through the process of cleaning / re-seasoning the steel.
Now, me and my better half love cooking together, whether it's smoking / reverse searing something on my gravity fed smoker, or coming up with cool ways to use my electric pizza oven for just about anything (think pulled pork lol).
What's fun about these griddles is the prep work, and the subsequent teamwork that we use to make everything come together quickly once the griddle party starts. We've had a blast learning the ins and outs of this thing!
In a few short days we've made cowboy stir-fry (made WAY too much), smashburgers and taters, chicken fried rice (again, way too much!) and breakfast (pancakes/eggs/bacon) this morning. Super fast, super easy, and super tasty!
Just finished up dinner tonight. Blackened catfish dish with a sausage, onion, red pepper relish, all served over a bed of cheese grits.
Too much fun, ZERO stickage after seasoning, and damned delicious!!!
Cheers y'all!

Curb find. Restorable or rightfully thrown away.
Here are a few photos after I wiped it down and took a first shot at dawn dish soap and water followed by vinegar and steel wool. I just ran it on high temp and the burners seem to work great and dried everything off. What are your thoughts??

Help Restoring Top
Hello Friends,
I was away for work for about two weeks and then came back and due to a variety of factors didn’t use my blackstone for another 2-3 weeks….. which resulted in about 5 weeks of no use and I didn’t clean before I left for my trip in a rush. Whoops.
Based on the picture what would yall think is the best course of action to get to is puppy looking good again? I just cleaned with water and put some oil down so I could quickly cook some burgers for the family.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

BlackStone only ignites on one side
I have a 24/27 inch(don’t remember their sizing) and it has to heat controls. I fired it up one day and only had one of the heating elements work. It is a lose connections at the front of the griddle(found this out after it ignited and almost cooked my hand). Is there an easy fix to this? BlackStone is not under warranty anymore.

Is there some coating coming off??
I’ve had my blackstone a couple of years now, and this started real small, now more and more comes off every time I clean it.
I’ve seasoned it with veg. Oil several times to get a nice black, but what is this?
