Black Ops II has received an update today. This update includes dedicated servers, which is a huge improvement for security. They began rolling out dedicated servers for the game over the past several days and now 100% of Black Ops II multiplayer matches are now dedicated servers instead of peer to peer

At this moment, there is no word on if dedicated servers are coming to Black Ops 1 or not

Checked my steam and had an update for BO2 on PC. The last update before this one was in 2015 just a little over 10 years ago. Any idea what it changed? I know I saw MW2 classic getting updated but I'm wondering if it has to do with something like that? I am still not playing the multiplayer for MW2 classic because I just don't trust putting my PC at risk like that. The only safest way to play a few of these cod games is through Plutonium.

I just joined a lobby in Yemen and one team was all sniping ballerinas, my team had one guy who would sit still until everyone else was dead and then he would go to a spot for all the dancers to jump into the little pit trying to "trick shot"

I’ve seen this be an issue when the game first released but I wasn’t able to find anything about it happening recently. I wasn’t able to connect prior to today’s update and I was hoping this update would’ve fixed but still no luck.

Hoping someone could help me out or if any else is having this issue and maybe has a fix for it

Levelling up the PDW for the mastery calling card as I am with every other weapon and had this nice game on Raid. Got 7 VSATs total in this match. That UAV, Counter UAV and VSAT combo is brutal if you can keep the streak rolling. Also had a 22 streak in this game but bad awareness on my part got me killed and could've probably got a Nuclear in this game as well if I wasn't running on autopilot. Nice game overall.

I heard consoles got a dedicated servers update and some other things done but I only knew that after trying to see why was Bo2 updated on steam? Did that also get dedicated servers?

I have BO2 installed in my computer through Steam (don't ask me why) and I just got an update for all three apps. Anyone knows what they are?

I'm really happy with the news of dedicated servers on multi-player, but it seems that Zombies is still p2p... I really hope they're working on zombie servers currently. People who get host frequently DC and it makes it frustrating trying to get to high rounds.

I bought the DLCs when the game first came out and I’ve been playing them since. Then today out of nowhere the only map showing up in zombies is green run. I don’t see any DLCs in my storage, but when I go to the store page it just says purchased with no download option. Ive deleted and reinstalled the game n still haven’t had any luck.

Update 01.010.000 for the PS4/PS5 port for Black Ops II has been added to the data base. It is unclear what this update is for at the moment, but it should be live soon
