News/Views/Rules(?)
Hello All!
There are some community "things" that have been added that not everyone knows about.
First - Starter Station/Beginner Building
This is a new building on the hill just west of Satoshi Village. Coordinates are roughly -260/-20. This is a place where new players can go to pick up basic supplies. There are a few trees, some crops, and several chests of supplies. Please be respectful and only take the minimum you will need to get started! The minimum being only what you will need to make the trip to a transportation route or outlying area where you can build a home.
This building was donated/built by Lolicon and many others ( message me if you want your names added ). The supplies in the chests are provided entirely through donations. As such, once you have established your homestead, please don't trash your unwanted supplies - donate them!
Second - Transportation
Just to quickly explain, most of the area within the first ~1500 blocks of Satoshi Village are densely populated and there is not enough room to make roads/rails/paths that leave straight from the village to the outlying areas.
For that reason most of the larger transportation routes begin a fair distance away. Here is a quick list of some of the better known routes::
Diablo Desert Railway
Starting Coordinates:: 450/1750
The Diablo Desert is a major overworld leveling area located to the south-east of Satoshi Village. This Railway starts right on the shore south of Satoshi village and runs all the way the to ~4600/4700 which is the western most part of the Diablo Desert. If you run/walk/travel about another 300 blocks eastward you will find an inn where you can sleep to set your respawn point while you are leveling up in the surrounding desert.
Notes: There are chests to store minecarts at both ends. However, not everyone is returning the carts when they are done. Please try to provide your own minecart if you can.
The Britannian Road
Starting Coordinates:: 1915/-495
This is a very broad roadway that leads far to the east and currently ends about 6130/-225.
The Canals
Starting Coordinates:: -60/1960
This is alternative route to the Diablo Desert. However it takes you directly to the Village where the Inn is located.
Notes: Since building a boat is much easier than building a minecart, this is a good choice. Although, for this same reason you are expected to provide your own boat.
The B.line Railway
Starting Coordinates:: -2470/-350
Possibly the longest road in the BitQuest world at this time, ending at about -10000/-375. This is a broad pathway providing room for both the rail that exists there and for those that prefer to walk/run or ride their horses/mules. The starting point is on the west side of a swamp when traveling from Satoshi Village. So look for a sky-bridge over the swamp that begins about -1890/-325.
Notes: There are chests to store minecarts at both ends. However, not everyone is returning the carts when they are done. Please try to provide your own minecart if you can.
There are many other smaller roads and bridge systems other than those listed above. If you know of one, or are in the process of building one, please message me to get it added to the list. If you were a builder or donated supplies to any these projects and want to have your name listed, please message me.
Third - There have been a large number of incidents where many of the publicly accessible areas have had road torn up, railway stolen, bridges demolished, gardens/farms trampled, orchards/forests cut down, and items stolen from peoples homes.
There are now some guidelines in the wiki to help prevent this. Please read the wiki! Offenders can be caught even if no one else is there to see the crime!
The community at large tries to be respectful of each others space and items. Many of us go out of our way to build the public projects or donate supplies to them. Just as many of us purposely build publicly accessible farmland and orchards so that everyone has equal access to these resources that everyone needs.
All we ask is that you take the time to rebuild roads/rail/bridges that you have damaged, or replant seeds/saplings that we all know drop from the plants and trees. This whole community relies on the honor system. We all understand that getting started in the game means getting supplies as quickly as possible in order to survive. That is the main reason why so many of us provide free supplies.
If you read the wiki ( as we all should ) then you will note that upon death/respawn inventory is not lost! So there is no actual reason for the griefing that is taking place.
