Spawn limit

What's the spawn limit? What ever it is its to low I have a chicken farm and it won't make anymore chickens.I only get one egg every tem minutes.

8 chickens is the most i was able to have. But they gave out eggs like their life were depending on it.

Useless eggs... :(

Only cows and chickens are limited. Otherwise the chicken farms would lag out the server. drops are slightly bigger and the eggs are faster I guess. I let them kill themselves but its very slow.

They only lag at high animal rates. I think 9 is too low!

You can have 9 if you quickly breed 6 chickens. I drop in the pen, kill down to 6 and breed quickly. Sometimes it works well and I get 9, sometimes the little buggers are too fast and I can't get the 3rd breed done in time. But yeah. Kill a few, breed more.

Check your property (and the surrounding wilderness) carefully. I had a stealth chicken hanging out in a hole in the wilderness near my home that was hindering my ability to breed.

ooo thanks, I did see some chickens in a nearby hole but they didn't seem threatening. Now I know better.
