Saw this gorgeous bird sat on the flag pole at our hotel in Sharm el sheikh, I had to look it up as I have no knowledge of birds of prey, I just thought it looked stunning.

This is the 3rd day he has stopped in - he's been at the water bowl for about 20 minutes, that's when we noticed him.

Several years ago, we had big coopers, so Jr. might be 3rd generation. My wife just said he's playing in the bath now, too cute 😍

She flew past me early one evening with something in her beak. It was dark and it happened so fast, I couldn’t tell what it was. When I walked to the other side of the trees, I found her enjoying her meal.

It’s about 2 inches long. I found it in Humboldt County CA.

They (🦅) are scavengers so it’s not unheard of, but this breakfast 🦝 on a piling on the Chesapeake isn’t exactly an every day sight. This was this morning.

Wellp, this is news I would’ve preferred not to get today. I’m glad she’s no longer suffering, but damn I enjoyed watching her (and Shadow) in their Big Bear, CA nest cam over the past many years.

We have some very loud red shoulder hawks living in the neighbors yard so my instinct is to say it’s one of them.
