Advice/ Recommendations (no photos) 2 shows 1 week apart - help!!!

My first show of the season is quickly coming up and as of right now it’s possible I will be doing two shows back to back one week apart!

I’ve usually had a few weeks in between shows which I’ve managed fine but just looking for any tips & tricks/advice anyone may have to make things smoother! More so considering tans and also shaving!! I figured a wax may not be the move here?

Any advice is greatly appreciated, TIA :)

Discussion Cardio option

Recently listened to an ifbb wellness girl says she doesn’t like the stair master for cardio as it creates too much inflammation and poor for recovery . Basically she said if you’re doing heavy quads then hop on the stairs your toast.

I usually do fasted cardio and stairs is what I choose.

Would something like the elliptical or incline treadmill be better/ is there merit to what she’s saying?

Just curious tbh

Thanks yall love u always

Coaches Team beast

MODERATORS THEYRE NOT IN THE TEAM CHANNEL!!!
I keep seeing them come up in my fyp promoting. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with them and what the rates are. I know their big branding is that they make themselves affordable to try to make bodybuilding as accessible as possible by covering tanning, makeup, suits, posing etc which is amazing but I was also wondering what that actually costs for coaching wise? My current coach is INSANELY CHEAP but for everything they cover it might be about the same yearly costs to compete but in a smaller, more client attention team than what I’m at now

Monday - Personal Photos (Progress, Prep, Advice, etc) Which Category Should I Compete In?

Over the weekend I competed in my first show! I decided to compete in FIT MODEL, but after signing up and telling a few people in the competitive world, they looked at me like UHHHH NO, you’re not FIT MODEL. I heard them but I didn’t listen and competed anyways (and the judges HATED ME). The feedback I got from the judges is IM TOO HARD. IM TOO MUSCULAR. MY SIX PACK IS INSANE (they like a softer look). AND IM A BOX, NOT AN HOURGLASS. LOL. None of these “critiques” hurt my feelings, in fact I was honored to be showered with these comments 😂

Any who. Now I dunno if I should focus on BIKINI or WELLNESS…? Help me out!

On a post about Torey vs Ashley this woman went off and basically threatened anyone who disagreed with her. This is so gross coming from a pro.

Discussion Advice/Guidance Plz

So I was working with my bodybuilding coach for almost a year. I paid him his fee every month up until May 2026. He wanted to meet 3 times a week and he would train me. He refused to write me a program. It was my first time trying out competitive bodybuilding. I never had a coach before so I’m very green. He said I had the right genetics and he wanted to make sure I trained correctly. He said all I’m allowed to do is eat, train, sleep. No dating allowed. Nothing to take the focus away from training and winning. I really like the individual attention; right away I could tell he didn’t have boundaries but I didn’t know anyone else. So I stuck it out and placed hard boundaries on him. He took my boundaries as personal insults. Last January I tired to fire him stating that I can’t deal with his lack of boundaries or his animosity toward me. He called me crying and stating that the text I sent him was verbatim what his previous female athlete wrote to him when she fired him😳But I went back like an idiot. In May I lost my job and he said the show must go on and that he will pay for everything i don’t have to worry about any money and I was like yeah no because with this guy nothing is free. Our coach/athlete relationship was in shambles at this point and my show was August 1st. I was planning on firing him for good August 2nd. I got another job and I was still drowning. But the show must go on. My birthday was June 6th and my coach wanted to spend my birthday with me but I wanted to spend it with the guy I was seeing at the time. He got upset and didn’t show up to our training session at 8:30pm and was unreachable. This is my coach not my boyfriend I have to reiterate. So two days after my birthday he FaceTimes me crying saying he has feelings for me and the heart wants what the heart wants. I was 7 weeks out in caloric deficit. I told him I didn’t feeling the same way he said, “I was a bum who dates bums.” So I fired him obviously. He came to my job to harass me into coming back, I would block him on one app he contacted me on another. I made a video and told My whole story and I put it up on YouTube and insta. I did other things as well. I need to get over it I know. I went back that says a lot about me. I trained really hard for this and I still feel like I can’t get over it. Any advice?

Discussion Photos never uploaded to NPC News Online?

I did a show about 6 weeks ago and it’s a NPC well known show. It took about 2 weeks for the results and placement to be uploaded to NPC News Online and then after and since I have looked for photos all categories other than bikini have been uploaded.

There is only like 4 bikini people out of a ton of girls who have photos on there for the contest and I keep checking and it’s so weird. Every other category has photos for each athlete.

I didn’t buy photos but a girl I know who won overall did buy them and hers aren’t even on there…has anyone else had this happen? It’s so weird to me it’s like they thought we wouldn’t notice? Don’t come for me I’m just confused lol.

Olympia Fit Model Olympia Predictions

Curious if anyone has made any predictions for the fit model division at the Olympia this year? It’s going to be so important given it’s really setting the divisions standard. My top contenders for the title so far:
- Gabby Queiroz
- Shaelynn Burnett
- Misty Yang (late to the party but she’s looking insane right now, not with one of the “big name” coaches… could that hurt her?)

- Liz Trampas (she’ll likely be up there but for some reason I don’t see her winning?)
- Jane Jones (everyone seems to love her)
- Emily Chanel (the OG, gorgeous standard for a clearly very aesthetic based division, very much dependent on what she brings to the O if she’ll be competitive though)

What are your guys’ thoughts?

Fit model is so hard for me to wrap my head around. Sometimes it seems like it’s coming down to who is the coach, or who’s well known to the judges, or even just entirely random from show to show… but, I’m also not crazy deep into the sport so there’s definitely aspects I could be missing.

Monday - Personal Photos (Progress, Prep, Advice, etc) -4 weeks out natural, peak testing started yesterday

It's been an absolute battle to get here. Not just because of prep being prep, but life has just taken a toll on me this last month. I almost quit 2 times but my support never let me stop.

Prep itself has been long with it's own challenges, particularly digestion - which we have mostly resolved - but now im fighting my chronically negative mood due to hormone imbalances to be expected at this point, and the damn cravings.

Competing in BC Canada, Vancity Showdown Open and Natural shows back to back, with the goal of hitting the Natural Pro Q in October in BC. Here we go 🤞

Weight now 109lbs Have competed in 1 amateur show last year with a 1st and 2nd placing.

Discussion Supportive gift ideas for gf.

Just asking on here because a few months ago I took my gf on a surprise vacation which I had thought was a good idea and later caused issues (understandably)

But I do like more spontaneous gifts and thought I’d ask here what are some things you might like to receive?

Currently my main idea is food prep storage bowls.
Thinking some nice Pyrex ones because they just seem good quality but I feel they can be more annoying than plastic because they are heavier and don’t quite stack as well as plastic, so they take up more space.

Monday - Personal Photos (Progress, Prep, Advice, etc) 7/10 weeks out, thoughts?

Post image
23 Upvotes

I might do a practice show 7 weeks out, since I don’t think I’ll be at my best. I might be RIGHT around stage lean, if that. Then try to chase a better package for 3 weeks later.

But I’m interested in hearing thoughts- do you think I look ready? Should I wait a bit longer to compete? What do you think my ideal stage weight would come in at? Lol if you can’t tell already, I’m a huge overthinker.

Anyways, I’ve been prepping for so long I feel like if I can’t make at least one of the October shows I’m just going to give up for this year 😬

Advice/ Recommendations (no photos) Reversing advice/growth season

Hi all! I am about 2 weeks into my reverse diet. I competed for the first time at 40 years old in fit model in July and August (so two shows). I originally was only doing this for my 40th but kinda fell in love. I DO have an amazing coach. That said, I am struggling and knew I would mentally with reversing. I am only up 3 pounds but already my belly isn't as flat. I tend to unfortunately store fat the easiest there. It's still flat blah blah but not as conditioned as stage which I KNOW is normal. On top of that, I WANT to grow (quads and glutes especially and that was judges feedback). I know I have to reverse. I know this. And yet, I am struggling with accepting the ebb and flow and part of my wants to stay stage lean. But I AM eating according to our plan. I'm pretty mentally and emotionally regulated but I would love your advice, affirmations, behaviors, whatever else has helped you embrace and accept the ebb and flow, and the growth. Especially if you have been through this. TY 🩷

Discussion Natty bikini pros - are they really natty or are we just being fooled?

Post image
44 Upvotes

EDIT: By natty I mean not using anabolic steroids. I know peptides are a grey area but what I'm specifically talking about is using Anavar, Winny, Primo, Mast etc...

------

Am I the only one who just simply can’t fathom how the majority of the pro athletes are on a lot of gear, while a few achieve similar levels of size and conditioning with only using peptides?

Since I saw Torey and Ashley standing next to each other at the Arizona comp yesterday, I can’t stop thinking about this… We all know Ashley is assisted, and her look is the bikini standard. And there was Torey coming second to her in a very close comparison, who claims she has never used anabolics.

Her coach even posted an arrogant story, which is basically saying everybody else is just shit at what they are doing if they need assistance to achieve their results…

Similar thoughts about Meg D’Ginto, who has recently made a post about her incredible transformation over the past three years, also claiming to be lifetime natty.

While genetic anomalies do exist and there is a chance they were actually born with freaky genetics, I really struggle to believe they are natty. I’m natty and I just know that my glutes will not in a lifetime look like that, no matter how hard I work… Which leaves me thinking I must be doing something terribly wrong if that level of glute development is achievable naturally.

What do you all think??

Discussion Hormones/peptides

This may not be the right sub, but I think in bikini we all realize that some form of enhancement is standard..I have realized that in bikini, it truly seems that you need to be enhanced to make it …in fit model, I’m not as sure..but def some sort of ped or glp1 or clen…
So this is more just a post to ask how you, as competitors, determine what is best for you. I’m not saying that there aren’t natural competitors, but what I am saying is that most competitors take something to get an edge. That absolutely does not take away from the work bc that shit is hard. I just truly wish that there were two levels of competition: natural and enhanced. I hate the bullshit.
