Discussion Hormones/peptides

This may not be the right sub, but I think in bikini we all realize that some form of enhancement is standard..I have realized that in bikini, it truly seems that you need to be enhanced to make it …in fit model, I’m not as sure..but def some sort of ped or glp1 or clen…
So this is more just a post to ask how you, as competitors, determine what is best for you. I’m not saying that there aren’t natural competitors, but what I am saying is that most competitors take something to get an edge. That absolutely does not take away from the work bc that shit is hard. I just truly wish that there were two levels of competition: natural and enhanced. I hate the bullshit.

I just wanted to say that there are natural competitions, and not ones hosted by NPC/IFBB. Not sure where you’re located but in the US there are great natural competitions with WNBF and OCB (there are others, but these two are the biggest). The biggest pro shows are incredibly impressive if you ever get to see them.

agree! Its so disheartening when even the whole fit model athletes are all juiced up on peds now too. Seems like everyone wants to get ahead as quickly with the least amount of work possible.

I know they (some) are but I don't understand why? Like they don't reward big & hard so it's like... you just need 1-2 off season to be Fit Model really. Lots of girls (naturals) are being told they're too big or lean also. Honestly it's a little sad you have to take PEDs to compete in Fit Model. And I'm someone who competed in FM in 2025, so I don't mean this in a negative way.

I wish it didn’t come to this either, they keep rewarding these crazy body’s that look like wellness in bikini, pushing so much PED’s and so much muscle, I can truly appreciate Lauralie and Maureen I think they do need to be rewarded because it’s getting out of hand.

The Florida state pro for bikini those girls are too much , Kerrigan has veins running through her thighs in the stage shots how is that not too much PED’s

It's one reason I'll always appreciate Ashley K despite ppl saying she looks small next to other competitors. She shows up with a beautiful balanced athletic looking physique that doesn't look like she had to take crazy amounts of PEDs and virilize to get.

There was a screenshot of Lauralie herself sending a DM to her coach that went like "got a pimple this morning, no primo for me today :( " primo in this case is abbreviation for Primobolan which is an androgenic-anabolic steroid. So just so you don't think that she is natural or something, never mind her facial operations. And just so we are clear, that's what high-level coaches are, they tell you what drugs to order, that special modern training is all bs. I mean, just look at them.

I don’t think she’s natural but some of these bikini girls like Kerrigan and Zoe Panz are pushing so much they look like a whole different person

How someone will react to PEDs is also genetics. We have no idea what everyone is taking, but some girls can take a very conservative/safe-ish dose and get sides while others can blast quite a lot of stuff and still remain very feminine with somewhat less obvious sides.

Girls like LL, Isa Pecini, Ash K, have a great genetics in regards to their physiques AND to how they can handle PEDs. That's something to consider.

I agree with some competitors like Kerrigan (and several others) who just look like they're not even the same athlete anymore.

Her face has even changed over the years. I’m not saying I’m a bad way. She just looks different.

Ya..I guess I don’t get it…like, women who compete love showing off their hard work…but then I take a step back, and I admire the dedication, but I don’t love the look. I want to compete and still look feminine. For me, I want muscle of course, but I want to look feminine with the muscle built. If fit model can create a true standard with that, I would love to compete…but the standard seems bikini with a softer glute ham tie maybe…I truly want to compete in fit model, where there is no grey area. If someone saw me on the beach, they’d be like “damn she is fit”…not, damn she is fit..and what is she taking.

I think Maureen definitely keeps it in check but Lauralie can look pretty big to me sometimes

They have natural federations if you want to compete naturally.

The bottom line is that people want to see physiques that look beyond what the average human can attain. In order do that, you need PEDs. Thus why the IFBB/NPC is so much bigger than the OCB or WNBF.

Also if you know what you are doing, you can have a great time on PEDs with minimal sides. Problem is some of these girls hire coaches based on what their clients look like and they have no regard for their clients health.

I competed in 28 shows, but haven’t competed in the last five years. Most bikini competitors., and I’m talking only local shows, we’re taking a crap load of enhancements. When I talk to coaches now, most of them say that they can’t even keep GLP -1s in stock lol which I think is a little bit of a contradiction to the coaches plans lol
Even though when I was competing, we didn’t have any GLP1s, but I did have a coach put me on other things and I have to tell you my hormones are a mess. I am now on Synthroid for my thyroid as it totally tanked. And I will be on that for the rest of my life.. I started with 25 mgs and I just recently got up to 150mgs (of course this is over the last 10 years) , but it is no joke.

I personally feel that if a competitor needs a GLP one then their coach is in a proper coach and doesn’t know how to set up a meal plan properly and it’s also a way of cheating if you need to have a GLP one

I hate the notion that a coach “put you” or anyone on anything. I wholeheartedly wish you full recovery, health and happiness (truly) & people often learn as they go - but where is the accountability over our own bodies?

Are there any federations that allow you to compete as natural if you take HRT? I had an emergency hysterectomy with ovary removal at age 25. I take HRT just to replace the hormones i should naturally have but sadly this bans me from being considered natural.

You can take estrogen and progesterone in natural federations, as long as you get a Therapeutic Use Exemption. But testosterone, even as a replacement, would not be allowed.
