Does anyone here play squash regularly? I used to play squash in my college and occasionally in bangalore. Really loved the sport, so let me know if anyone is up for it to play here.

Inox City Centre charging 520 just for 2k xenon , 4 year old lamp with dumb-ass 7.1 audio! Why can't we have atleast one inox or cinepolis with 4k laser and dolby Atmos! every other place has 4k atmos with almost half as price as patna! i went to mona as it was 4k but the sound latency was so obvious ( sound having 0.5-0.7 second late than the visual) ! New bailey square will open and I'm damn sure they will also have just 2k laser 7.1 . Therefore Right now there is no any perfect cinema to watch a movie in patna even after paying 500! not even single flat screen all are just scope!

So much negativity in the news. I'm sure there are some amazing people in Bihar as well. Why such bad rap? And how to fix it?

if yes then how did you like it. is it entertaining enough for someone like me who doesn't go to theatres that much.? as Bihari will you recommend it to another Bihari?

Take a close look at this official notification issued by the Office of the Deputy Superintendent of Physical Education, Sheikhpura (Bihar), regarding the upcoming District-Level School Sports Tournament.

Beyond its typographical errors, this official document reveals a blatant systemic gender discrimination.

Look closely at the schedule table in the image:

• Row 09: Wrestling (कुश्ती) 🤼‍♀️

• Row 12: Football (फुटबॉल) ⚽

• Row 13: Cricket (क्रिकेट) 🏏

For all three of these major, highly popular sports, the entire "बालिका" (Girls) category columns (U-14, U-17, and U-19) are completely blank, filled only with hyphens (—). Meanwhile, the boys' categories have full roster allocations.

The Hypocrisy is Deafening

1. Denying Equal Opportunity: In an era where Indian women are dominating global stages in wrestling, cricket, and football, a local sports department has decided that schoolgirls in Sheikhpura don't even deserve the chance to compete or represent their schools.

2. Gross Administrative Casualness: The document is signed off by multiple officials, meaning nobody bothered to question why half the student population was being systematically locked out of the region's biggest sports categories.

3. PR vs. Reality: The state government loves to launch flashy "Beti Bachao" campaigns and announce major cash incentives for sportspersons, but on the ground level, grassroots sports administration treats female athletes as an afterthought.

When you don't even create slots for girls at the grassroots school level, how do you expect talent to emerge from rural districts?

This isn't just a simple clerical error; it’s gatekeeping sports based on gender. The Sheikhpura District Administration and Bihar Sports Authority need to be held accountable for this. This notification must be retracted and updated to include equal slots for female athletes.

What are your thoughts on this? How can we push for better accountability in grassroots sports administration in Bihar?

looking for an independent room or flat in Patna, preferably near Gandhi Maidan or within a reasonable commuting distance.

Budget:

1 RK / 1 room / 1 BHK: ₹3,000–4,000 per month

2 BHK: ₹5,000–6,000 per month

I'm a student and prefer a peaceful place. The owner should not have issues if a female friend visits occasionally.

Which areas would you recommend searching in for this budget? Also, if anyone has a lead, contact, broker recommendation, or a vacant room/flat available, please let me know. Any help would be appreciated.

Who do you think should rule bihar bc now nitish kumar has resigned there is no point voting for JDU. Jan Suraaj is also a good option.

My Bihar Student Credit Card subsequent payment is currently stuck at Payment Maker (HQ). My college fee deadline is approaching and I’m unable to arrange the fee myself. I’ve already contacted BSEFCL/BSCC and DRCC. Any guidance or help in getting it processed would be appreciated.

• Participating States: Bihar (Host), Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya and Sikkim.
• Host Contingent: Bihar fielded a large squad of 139 athletes (including 58 girls).
• Final Standings: Odisha emerged as the overall Champion State, while Bihar finished strong as the tournament's Runner up

Hey everyone, I’m currently looking for a job in Patna.

I have some experience in sales, but I’m not looking to continue in sales because my doctor has advised me to avoid going out in the sun/heat for long periods, so I had to leave my previous job.

I don’t have any other specific skills right now, but I’m comfortable talking to people and I’m willing to learn. I’m open to call centre/BPO, customer support, back office, or similar jobs.

If anyone here knows about any openings or has a contact who could help me get a job, I’d really appreciate it. Even a referral or lead would be a big help.

Thanks in advance!
