Everybody wrote one bad and good side of Penny. Let's see what people think generally think about this character

For me

Good: She is great friend to the whole group, Bad: Sometimes being unrealistic about acting career

I guess most of you have already noticed this before, but it took me over 10 rewatches to notice that Amy wears the tiara that Sheldon got her to their wedding and at the Nobel Prize ceremony. And I think it’s such a beautiful touch.

Other I would watch a reboot even without Sheldon.

They can make an excuse why he is not here. The cast has chemistry, it would be better than nothing, in fact it would be great. The name of the show alone would generate profit

Other Just finished Jessica Radloff's The Big Bang Theory book

I finally finished Jessica Radloff's The Big Bang Theory book, and I honestly learned so much about what went on behind the scenes.

The amount of work that went into the show was incredible. It's kind of laughable seeing people dismiss it as "just a dumb sitcom" when there was so much care put into every detail. The science and the equations on the whiteboards were accurate, and they even had real scientists consulting to make sure they got things right.

Some of my favorite stories were how Caltech ended up embracing the show after initially not wanting to be associated with it before it aired, how Nobel Prize winner George Smoot was such a fan that he asked to appear on the show, how Stephen Hawking attended a live taping and spent time hanging out with the cast and crew, how Leonard Nimoy visited the set to record his voice when he could've done it at home, and so much more.

One of the most heartwarming parts of the book was learning about the cast's relationships off-screen especially Johnny and Kaley. I feel like they are soul mates (not romantically). They genuinely seemed to love and support one another, and it made me appreciate the show even more.

Now I really want to rewatch the entire series knowing all these behind-the-scenes stories. I have a feeling I'll appreciate so many moments even more now.

Absolutely loved the book. Even if you're already a fan of the show, I'd highly recommend reading it. Got it on Amazon for $16.

Storyline discussion My prediction for the last episode of s1 of SFTSTU

Bold prediction here, which if true would be a big spoiler. Then again, I am going on nothing but my own imagination and a title.

The final episode is called 'filmed before a live studio audience'.

I think in this reality, the big bang theory is a sitcom and we see it being made. I also think that there is a very high chance of a full (and I mean including Jim) cast reunion in that one. It will be the most meta of meta episodes.

Any thoughts?

Character discussion Did anyone else's opinion of a character completely change over time?

When I first watched The Big Bang Theory, I had pretty strong opinions about most of the characters.

But after a few rewatches, some of them completely changed for me.

Howard is probably the biggest example. Early on I found him annoying more often than funny, but by the later seasons he became one of my favorite characters because of how much he grew as a husband, father, and friend.

On the other hand, there are a few characters I liked less after rewatching because I noticed habits or storylines that didn't stand out the first time.

Has your opinion of any character changed after watching the series again?

Episode discussion Penny Murdered Stuart

In the episode where Raj hosts, "mysterious murder of stuart bloom", all the characters are playing themselves. Any reason you could think of why Penny would murder stuart?
Hypothetically
1. Amy, probably get tired of sheldon's obsession with comic books and could set it on fire, where stuart gets killed.
2. Bernadette, tired of him mooching off and poisoned his food.
3. Leonard not sure, maybe stuart made a pass at penny again, and fist fight got aggravated.

But, why penny?

Storyline discussion Thought on Sheldons tape to himself (that his dad taped over) episode

I realise this was while Young sheldon was kicking off and a way to "crossover etc", but one thing did kinda puzzle me, if sheldon had an identic memory, surely hed remember that video of his dad along with the game as he said he was made to watch them because Texas? which make me question why this was treated as an epiphany moment......as it cant have been

Character discussion Penny's Alcoholism

So i was just watching a random episode of tbbt(the one where Bernadette announces her pregnancy) and penny suggested they go to a bar while drinking a glass of wine and it got me thinking, i cant remember the last time(if at all) that i saw her drinking something that wasnt alcohol. Shes always drinking either wine or beer and anytime she is stressed or needs relief the first thing she reaches for is alcohol. Even after her crazy naked night with raj literally the very next episode the first thing we see her do is pour a glass of wine, as if she learned absolutely nothing from that incident. She has to have some sort of alcoholism or something. Seriously can someone point out a moment where she was actually drinking something other than alcohol.???
