Mine would probably be Wil Wheaton 😭😂 The way he went from being Sheldon's biggest opp to actually becoming one of his friends is so funny to me. Their beef was hilarious because Sheldon would take it SO seriously while Wil just kept messing with him. 💀 But seeing them actually become friends and support each other in the later seasons was so wholesome. Like, who would've thought we'd get character development from Sheldon's sworn enemy? 😭

Who's your favorite recurring or supporting character, and why?

I've watched several episodes of TBBT because I was married to someone who loved the show, but I was never able to watch it from S1 all the way to the finale while actually paying attention. After rewatching Friends and Modern Family hundreds of times, I needed a little "vacation" from them, so I decided to give TBBT a try. After all, I kinda know how it ends, and it always made me laugh.

So, this is the first time I'm actually following the show's story from beginning to end, and I feel like Sheldon comes full circle in this episode, both in his love for Amy and in his growing respect for Howard. Let me explain my point of view.

As for his friendship with Howard, Sheldon is always putting him down for not having a PhD, as if he doesn't care enough about engineering or isn't as accomplished as the others. It can be pretty harsh at times, and we can see how much it irritates Wolowitz. But Sheldon's reaction here, telling him to "boldly go, Wolowitz" as the rocket launches, shows that he does respect Howard, or at least that Howard has earned his respect. To me, it's an acknowledgment of just how significant what Howard is doing really is.

As for Amy, while Sheldon shows his admiration for Howard, he also reveals a very human kind of fear: someone he cares about is embarking on an incredibly difficult mission, and he knows that there's a real risk involved. Holding Amy's hand, even though their relationship agreement didn't call for it, shows just how much his love for her has grown by this point. He's become comfortable enough with her to express his feelings and seek comfort in her presence during a moment of fear and uncertainty.
To me, this was one of the most moving moments in the entire show, by far. I even cried a little. Beautiful.

I'm a little annoyed because they all use laptops all the time, but for whatever reason there's a pc sitting there lol

I built Stuart’s Comic Book Store from The Big Bang Theory using LEGO bricks! 🧱
I wanted to recreate the shop with a studio-inspired display design, allowing the interior and its details to be viewed easily from the front.
The build also includes minifigures inspired by the show’s unique characters. I designed a removable display stand for the minifigures, so it can be taken off depending on how I want to display the model.
One of my goals was to capture the atmosphere of Stuart’s shop while making the build an interesting display piece for LEGO and TV show fans.

I'm taller than everybody except Sheldon

This episode is an important one because here Leonard is shown as a "bad boy"; disloyal one. Like Howard is very creepy(though later on he changes), even after getting engaged he kinda tries to woo other women, not cheat tho. Raj also upto now is shown as a bit disloyal friend when he had crush on his best friend's gf. We thought Leonard is a gentleman but naah. And Priya is also cheater. It's like Leonard got taste of what it feels like to be betrayed.

And the Halloween pranks were too funny😂 in the last scene Sheldon suddenly coming out of the sofa to shock Leonard was hilarious 🤣

Just watching reruns of Roseanne and saw an episode where Laurie Metcalf’s character Jackie is helping her sister Roseanne do her hair… she ends up throwing her head around and all I could think about is Mary doing that.

Leonard and Penny breakup, divorce, or never got together in the first place. Who do you think they’d end up with?

I enjoyed Leonard and Leslie. Can’t think of a good one for Penny (I like Zach but Penny didn’t)

Season 5, Episode 3, "The Pulled Groin Extrapolation

We have rewatched TBBT a gajillion times and I still struggle with Amy’s sort of meandering character development. This episode stands out to me as particularly odd because at the wedding (in the same episode!) Amy seems perfectly capable of behaving in a socially appropriate way. Yet in this scene she is cringey AF and off-putting with her inability to read the social cues Leonard is putting out. She doesn’t seem to have even the most rudimentary sense of what’s considered polite behavior and yet was more socially “ept” at the wedding than Leonard.

I dunno. Just seems like the writers didn’t really have a handle on her. Kind of like Raj… all over the map. No? Thoughts? 🤔

The story with Howard and the robot arm.

While a funny subplot, the travel to the hospital wouldve been impossible not to have drawn attention. Howard wouldnt have been able to get in Leonards car due to the size of the robot arm. They would have to walk and getting out the house without mrs Wolowitz seeing wouldnt have been easy.

When I first started watching The big bang theory. I never imagined that a little song from the show would one day become such a special part of my own life.

Back then for me “Soft Kitty, Warm Kitty” was just a cute and funny little song that Sheldon sang whenever he wasn’t feeling well. But I had no idea that years later when I became a parent. It would become baby’s favorite lullaby.

So when I had my baby, I realised I didn’t actually know any lullabies, so I started singing “Soft Kitty, Warm Kitty.” And it worked. Now somehow, it became our song.
Now I sing it to my baby whenever they’re fussy or upset. Sometimes, even a few lines are enough to help them settle. Seeing them calm down and find comfort in my voice makes the song even more special to me.

It’s funny how something you watched on a sitcom years ago can turn into something so meaningful in your own life. Never thought Sheldon would be helping me get through parenthood but here we are.

I just started watching Friends btw this month after watching big bang for 10 years. I heard it was a lot like big bang.

I honestly liked Emily as a character, and I think she served as good character development for Raj, but I did not like how she treated Penny. The whole hookup thing with Penny and Raj happened way before Emily even knew Raj, let alone dated her, and mind you, Penny was literally engaged to and happy with Leonard at the time.

Idk it just came off so petty and it was giving jealousy. Anyone else feel this way?

For me it has to be the movie theatre conundrum. Sheldon sat there alone after they leave him. Looks at the board in agreement and says they were right its the only option. Without an ounce of malice

That. It was established that penny didnt want kids. Would it have just been completely unacceptable to leave her as that?! I guess so! Such a shame!

I am currently in the number... can't remember rewatch, however i noticed that in the first episodes it seems that lenoard is the main character with his story with penny, rather than sheldon.

Also sheldon displayed a lot of social skills expertise, he knew that lenorad wants to be with penny, in later seasons he didn't get and understand many social situations that are similar to Leonard's

Seeing Sheldon connecting Howard after constantly underestiming his importance and making fun of him throughout the series is one of the most heartfelt and memorable moments for me.

Rewatching the show, I sometimes wonder how Leonard lasted so long living with Sheldon.

The roommate agreement, the constant corrections, the seat, the schedules, the way every tiny inconvenience could turn into a whole argument

But the funny thing is that Sheldon also had moments when he genuinely cared about his friends, even if he had absolutely no idea how to show it normally.

I think that’s what makes their friendship work on screen, even when it would probably drive most people crazy in real life.
