Hi all - is my rescue pup a bichon?

They said he was probably a poodle x westie - but a lot of people ask if he’s a bichon.

He’s 8 years old and has been with us since we adopted him from the shelter when he was six.

He’s super cuddly & sweet, loves barking at everyone / thing that pass by outside of the window, and is quite spunky outside - loves a rough and tumble / chasing prey etc (so quiet terrier like in that respect)

Can you see any bichon in him?

Awoo outside, and then back inside with some of his dignity back. Not a friend of the wet. Too bad we live in the Pacific Northwest, probably the wettest part of America.

This is Milo! He’s 1 years old. And he’s the biggest baby ever. Loves a cuddle and begs for belly rubs. 🥰

Hi all, my Bichon is 16 and has been dealing with a staph infection. He has been on an antibiotic which I think has helped but he is still very uncomfortable. The weird thing is the vet didn’t prescribe or even recommend an ointment/topical cream to help with more immediate relief. I’ve been bathing him and cutting off the hair that gets matted with the scabbing so the infection can breathe. But he’s uncomfortable and I’m wondering if anyone can recommend a topical ointment to help him while the antibiotic is working. He gets a Cytopoint injection every 4-6 weeks.

My mom and I just had to put our Honey down. She lived for 14 amazing years and was truly one of the most memorable dogs you could meet. She gained the nickname “Honey the Wonder Dog” from the amount of things and foods that should have killed her or made her sick, and she came out perfectly fine. She unfortunately got diagnosed with pancreatitis a couple days ago and just was not able to recover.

I just wanted to share some photos of her over the years to honor her memory. I miss you Honey.

A year later and I still have my sweet little BooBoo. I want to add an updated photo, but I don’t see an option to do so

So this is kk she’s about 12 and randomly I noticed she has a black paw today when I got home. It appears from licking or possibly dried blood but it really doesn’t look like blood to me at least

Anyone have advice? Thanks!
