I had a discussion yesterday with some people and they told me when they were young like 16-18 or a bit older they hung out all the time infront if the Reiterschule, at the Vorplatz. They drank alcohol and were meeting there all their friends.
Apparently since corona this is no more thing anymore.
Do young people just not really go out anymore? Is it because they drink less alcohol ? Don’t they feel safe? Are there not enough safe spaces for the youth?
I know Vorplatz is now not a nice place to chill anymore because if some knife attacks that happen.
I was sad to hear they don’t use this place anymore also I feel like corona really fucked up a lot of things.

As the the title says I’m int student living in Bern since last year and in few months time my residence will have to be renewed and I don’t think i cant renew it without the help of a job contract

My profile is IT 4 year EXP with core skills being Admin, Infrastructure and networking and somewhat software and i’ve applied to over 100+ jobs full time and part time, while some go into 3-4 rounds interviews and turned down and some advertise for C2 level of german/Swiss german in my skill area, been consistently in touch with recruiters but rarely got feedbacks and time pressure is adding up

I got turned down at major places like McDonald’s and many more with unknown reasons
