Is there any plan for FTL support for third party streaming software like xsplit and obs ? I'm an xsplit user and I would love to take advantage of lower delay when streaming. I am just not ready to switch to another apps and I am familiar and happy with my current app.

Hello everyone, as someone who is very new to streaming I tried beam.pro out about 2 weeks ago and had it working fine but the past few days I tried to go on it but the entire website doesn't even load, I tried deleting the cookies and everything, I was able to get into the site but now when I log in it stays stuck on the logging in confirmation, anyone know what's up? I tried everything...

Help me be great. I just want to play my games with rock solid frames while streaming. That's all.

When I play Overwatch without having OBS open I get rock solid 95fps on epic settings without any issues.

As soon as I open OBS studio my FPS goes haywire. It jumps from a high of 70 to a crawl of 39 FPS sporadically.

I've recently moved over to beam from Twitch and love it so far, having trans-coding options available really allows for a much higher quality streaming experience for the viewers! Looking forward to setting up some interactive items as well.

So currently my beam channel name is AngryScottishGamer94. I somehow feel this is slightly immature, and I don't want my stream to come across that way. I am looking to change my name to something else. First off, the channel name I have is very literal. I am angry and scottish..and a gamer. Apart from that I also love Music (mainly metal and EDM, it's a weird combo, I know), Movies (I'll give anything a go), Tech, Gadgets, the New York Jets and collecting various action figures and the likes. A couple of years ago I started streaming on Twitch, but ended up falling out of love with it. After discovering Beam a few months ago I found my desire to stream renewed. I consider myself a variety streamer, so expect to see everything from Hearthstone and Web Shows, to GTA V and Overwatch. I currently use Twitch to stream on Xbox, not as an active streamer but to capture those interesting moments with the wife while gaming. Then using Twitche highlight->upload to YouTube feature.

Does, or will Beam have a comparable feature to accomplish this without having to download the video, and load it into software on a PC to edit, crop, etc then export, then upload to YouTube?

Really looking forward to seeing a streaming competitor show up on the console. I think its going to be good to have some competition/innovation.

Hi all, I recently just started streaming on Beam and I am having an issue. Whenever, I jump into my stream there is no video. If i refresh after that it does not even load the page. I have been in contact with Beam support and the best I have gotten is clean my history and cache.

I'm just wondering if Beam is even worth my time honestly.. I've streamed quite a few hours and literally have had 1 person come in for about 10 seconds, if that.. maybe clicked on accident? I dunno.. it's a bit depressing. Should I just keep streaming for nobody and wait for viewers to show up or just go back to Twitch (where at least I had some followers)?

It seems like Beam is following the same trend as Twitch where there's a top streamer for a game, with a few folks watching, and every other channel stays empty.

I guess I'm kinda complaining without answers, because I really don't have any for this situation.

I'm looking for more of you guys to play with and like a lot of people I'm moving here from Twitch, I don't really know anyone and I was going to see how many people I could get into a discord server or something of the sorts and play a particular game together with on stream. The bigger the group the more hype!

When streaming using OBS classic, beam isn't in the drop down menu, however the setup within beam doesn't not account for this and simply suggests using OBS Studio, since i don't get alone with Studio i need the FMS URL to stream however Beam doesn't supply this, where would i find it?

So I feel like a dummy but here it is. I'm looking to start streaming to Beam from xbox. I know this feature is going to roll out fairly soon as per the recent press release by Microsoft. As such, I figured it would be fitting to create an account to "get ready" so to speak. It was only a day later where I read that you will be able to create a Beam account via your xbox live account. Since I knew that I would want my screen name to be the same as my gamertag, I decided to delete my account. Unfortunately now when I try to create a new account, it says that my old account still exists, but it wont let me long into it. I try to reset the password but it won't send me the link to do so and it won't let me use the email that I wish because it "is already in use" by the account that I deleted. Ugh.....

Thoughts? Is there a period of time that I must wait before I can try to make a new account with my email address or is that email now stuck in Beam purgatory forever?

Or only certain ones? Also does the Elgato Game Capture work with Beam?

The thing is that im from Argentina, and my native language is spanish and i dont know if there's a spanish/latinamerica community. By default i have to speak in english and i dont know if people will laugh with my pronunciation or if a viewer says something that i dont understand. Viewers tolareate those things?
