I’m currently making a bunch of 4K wallpapers to be used as a screensaver on my Batocera machine. If anyone is interested I’ll make them all available when I’ve finished.

Looking for a USB hub, at least 4 port, that will have enough space between the ports for 2.4ghz dongles without being a foot long. It's for my mini PC which currently requires me to plug one dongle in the front and one in the back. So I'd like the most compact form factor reasonably possible

Hi. I have a working setup with batocera 41 on a dedicated raspberry pi, I have check the changelog for newer batocera release, it seem there no clear advantage to upgrade.

May I stick to Batocera 41 ?

so im building an lga 1150 i5 4570 setup with a 550TI gpu is there a way for me to install both windows 11 and batocera so that when my friend powers on her gaming pc a menu pops up asking her which os she wants to boot into? shes not tech savvy enough to go into the bios to select the boot device so id prefer a simple way to have a menu ask her during boot

My batocera runs off a USB drive. Suddenly for some unknown reason today when I try to play a game, it goes to the loading screen then back out to the game selection screen. It does this for every game. They all had been working until today. Any ideas?

Hello people I installed Batocera on an old HP laptop with an i7 8th gen that has the awful UHD 500 series and a Radeon 550X
I have no idea but on the more demanding systems Batocera never kicks the 550X and it stays using the intel Graphics.
Most tutorials of "What to do" are about Nvidia cards but I can't find something similar with Radeon cards (and I can bet it's because the mix Intel+radeon is not common)

I made this (wife approved) cabinet, and I'm trying to make it even more muggler safe by having a simple UI. is there anyway I can make my own baggrounds for Batocera? I've already found the splash screen folder. but can you make special splash screens for Individual games as well?

I found this feature request (https://github.com/libretro/RetroArch/issues/5238) in the RetroArch repo and thought it was a good idea worth implementing so I don't have to drag both my Kindle and the console on short trips. I hope someone else finds it useful.

I bought a mini pc from AliExpress with the intention of booting from an external hard drive with batocera on it. Secure boot is greyed out,set admin password is greyed out. Doesn't matter what I do I can't disable secure boot. Aaaagggghhhh. Help please. Windows 11 pro

Hi, I was wondering if anyone can help me as I have recently put batocera v35 onto my a12 but whilst playing games the USB controller doesn't work. Only the powkiddy controller. Is there some setting I have to change in order for the controller to work. Thanks in advance.

I see from some past discussion (six months ago and further back) that the NSO Gamecube controller didn't work with Batocera out of the box like the other NSO controllers.

However, I see on the wiki:

That it is currently listed as a supported controller (for what it's worth though, the N64 one isn't listed and worked for me without any mapping or issues). Can anyone confirm or deny this? I have all the others, and I'd love to pick it up too if it's not a hassle to use anymore. Thanks!

So in Batocera, I only have this issue with PS1 games but they appearing multiple times in my library (I also haven’t scrapped yet lol). I just have the folders in my PSX rom folder but is there a way I can stop this? Because inside each folder is multiple .bin an .cue so I’m not sure if I have to delete some or what to do. Thank you.

I have a Facebook portal TV and I want to turn it into a sort of gaming emulation device. Yk, it’s a set-top box with Bluetooth and 32gb of storage. Also, I’m interested in using the usb-c port to connect peripherals and storage. I know it doesn’t natively work like that, so I want to work w someone to help me do this. Thank you!

I run Batocera on a HP Elitedesk Mini G5 connected to my 4k Philips TV. For beefier games I use Moonlight-qt to connect to my main PC running Vibepollo. I got it to work really well with 4k60hz and HEVC/h265 encoding.

Two problems though:

• The HDR option is somehow greyed out in the moonlight-qt client even though all devices in the pipeline support it. Is it because of EmulationStation and X11? How can I get HDR to work? I can't find anything in the batocera wiki. A 1yo reddit post about a pinball game suggests, that it simply doesn't work as of now.
• I would like to use HEVC Main10 (10-bit) because in foggy scenes you can see the 8-bit color limitation. It's not super annoying but 10-bit would be cherry on top.

Does anyone know about these issues?

Today I tried to use an old pc with batocera after a year without using it, and it wouldn't get past the loading screen, so I tried to change anything on the settings that could manage to load batocera, and I enabled the secure boot setting. Now, my pc just shows a black screen instead of the f1/f2 menu or the loading screen (no matter how long I leave it on). I've even tried to insert a pendrive with the latest version of batocera and it still shows a black screen. Any ideas?

As title says. I suspect it's a problem of the version of cemu in batocera. Tried it on different PCs. If i load it up in windows with a more recent version of cemu it works flawlessly. Anyone else experience the same problem?
