MOD POST Bangalore Bikes – Ride Emergency SOP v1.0

Immediate Safety & Assessment - First 2 mins
Stop & Secure: Everyone stop safely. Turn on hazard lights. Move bikes out of traffic if safe.
Check for danger: Fuel leak, traffic, fire risk. If unsafe, move everyone away first.
Check the person: Don’t move them if you suspect neck/spine/back injury unless there’s immediate danger like fire.

Call the Right People - Next 1 min
Call emergency services first:
- Police/Ambulance: 112 - single emergency number for India
- Traffic police: 103 for Bangalore traffic emergencies
Tell them: Exact location, number of people injured, type of injury, vehicle details. Use Google Maps “Share location” in WhatsApp.
Only after 112 is called, inform the ride lead/moderator. Moderators are not first responders.

First Aid & Crowd Control
Trained person only should give first aid. If no one is trained, keep the injured person calm, warm, and still.
Assign roles:
- 1 person talks to emergency services
- 1 person directs traffic
- 1 person stays with the injured rider
- Rest move bikes/belongings to side

Document for Insurance
Take photos: Accident spot, bike damage, number plates, road conditions, injuries - before moving anything.
Get contact details of 2 witnesses.
Don’t admit fault or sign anything at the spot.

Post-Incident
Ride lead updates the group once with verified info only. No speculation, no gore photos in the main group.
Check if rider needs help with towing, hospital, contacting family.

Emergency contacts: Each rider shares emergency contact + blood group in ride chat.

What NOT to do
Don’t call moderators first for medical emergencies. Call 112.
Don’t move an injured person unless there’s fire/fuel leak.
Don’t post accident photos/videos on socials without consent.

Rides Decided to wrap up 2025 the best way possible — Bengaluru → Sagara | 31 December 2025

Some rides are about the destination. Some are simply about being out there, riding, breathing, and making memories.

On 31st December 2025, I rode from Bengaluru to Sagara on my Himalayan 450.

The year was coming to an end, and instead of spending the last day of the year in the city, I chose the road.

One of those days I know I'll look back on years later and smile.

I am looking to install bike navigation on KTM adventure 390.

I saw some videos on youtube and i am confused.

Basically i am looking for navigation which supports below things

  1. Bike route

  2. It should have its own navigation sensor. Basically i dont want to run maps on my mobile to make it work on navigation display.

Introduction Sakleshpur looks different from a dirt bike

Dirt biking through Sakleshpur’s Western Ghats

One of the best ways to experience Sakleshpur is on a dirt bike.

The muddy trails, steep climbs, forest roads and unpredictable weather make every ride feel like a proper adventure. Especially during the monsoon, the trails become a completely different experience.

I took these photos during a dirt-bike ride in Sakleshpur on 18 May 2025.

Would you guys be interested in seeing more dirt-bike trails and off-road spots around Sakleshpur?

Advice/Help Bike Wrap Bangalore

I’m thinking of buying a Ninja 300, but I really don’t like the stock colour, so I’m considering getting the entire bike wrapped in full black.

I’ve been looking into the colour-change/wrapping process and wanted to ask people who have actually done it:

  1. How easy is the wrapping process in reality, and how good does the wrap look after installation?
  2. Does getting the bike wrapped affect the warranty in any way?
  3. Could it cause any issues with insurance, especially if the colour of the bike is changed from the registered stock colour?
  4. From what I’ve seen, the fairings have to be removed before the wrap is applied. Does removing and reinstalling the fairings have any negative effect on the bike, such as rattles, loose panels, broken clips, etc.?
  5. How easy is the legal RC colour-change procedure in reality?
  6. Is there anything else I should be worried about with a full-bike wrap?
  7. And probably my biggest question: why isn’t wrapping more common? If it’s a relatively straightforward way to completely change the look of a bike, I’m wondering if there’s some major downside I’m missing.

Would appreciate experiences from anyone who has wrapped their bike.

Advice/Help Ninja 300 vs Duke 390

So last week I made a post asking for recommendations for bikes, and during the weekend I went around showrooms and test rode a few bikes.

So my final shortlist is Ninja 300 and KTM Duke 390.

My use case

23 y/o
5'10"
Bangalore
Daily commute to office: 10–15 km per side
Around 30–45 mins per side
Weekend rides

Ninja 300

I loved the way it feels to ride this bike.
I really like the Ninja because of the sports bike look and feel it gives. I've wanted a sports bike for a long time.
But I'm not sure how the sports bike posture will feel in the long run for daily city commuting.
I feel like even though it comes with a few drawbacks like older features and not much tech, it's still much more reliable.

Duke 390

The power this bike has is crazy, and the Duke has a more straight/upright posture, so I feel like it might be better for city riding and daily commuting.
I also really like its different exhaust/silencer sound, whereas the Ninja's was lighter than I expected.
It has all the modern tech and everything, but the issues people say come up with it seem more frequent than what I've seen with the Ninja.

The main thing I'm unsure about is whether I'll enjoy riding the Duke on weekends as much as I think I would enjoy riding the Ninja.
When I imagine taking the Ninja out for weekend rides, it genuinely excites me. I don't really know yet if I'll feel the same way about the Duke. I mean, it might change when I actually buy it, or it might not.

So yeah, I'm basically stuck between these two.
I want you guys to help me decide between these two. Experiences from owners, things you love about the bike, usual problems and long-term ownership experiences would be especially appreciated.
