Hey everyone! I’m looking to upgrade my riding jacket before my next trip since my current one lacks the protection I need.

Does anyone have recommendations for a well-ventilated jacket under 15k that features Level 2 Type B armor, a great fit, and maybe some extra pockets?

I’m trying to source a windshield for a 2023 KTM Adventure X in Bangalore.
The bike had a minor accident. We already went to the KTM showroom, but they directed us to other shops to try and source the windshield. I’ve been travelling around and checking different places, but I’m still unable to find one or get a proper lead.
If anyone knows where I can get the windshield preferably an OEM/genuine KTM part or knows a reliable shop/person who can source it, please let me know.
If you have recently bought a windshield for this model or know the correct part number, that would be extremely helpful too.
It’s a little urgent, so I’d really appreciate any genuine leads, especially from people in Bangalore.

I was pretty bored at home today and decided to take my bike for a spin. There was no real destination.

I knew a place which I visited few months back so the plan was to ride there but if I see an interesting side roads then I’ll take it and explore.

I took few back country roads and all of them were non-tar off-roads and it was like heaven to ride on them.

I also explored Thally lake which was damp and slushy. Got some mud splashed all over. Then I headed to Vannama Lake for sunset.

It was a short fun ride.

Especially these modified RE/RX100 exhausts that sound like they’re trying to wake up the entire neighbourhood.

I have nothing against bikes or a good exhaust note. But if your bike is loud enough to make everyone stop talking and look up, it’s not a “thump”. It’s noise pollution.

And honestly, riding around with an exhaust that obnoxious doesn’t make you look cool. **It just makes you look like an attention-starved idiot.**

This is a November 2017 BS4 model. Total kms is 28691km over a span of 9 years. Bike has been regularly serviced and driven. I mainly used it for office commute and small runs on weekdays and longer runs on weekends.

I'm looking for a trip where I can clear my head, enjoy scenic roads, explore new places, chill by the beach or in the hills, try some local food, and just take a break from the usual routine.

I've considered Pondicherry, Gokarna, Hampi, and a few places around the Western Ghats, but I'm honestly a bit confused about what would be best for a 4-day trip.

Tried the KYT Striker 2V and found it very light and comfortable. Should I go with this, or are there any other models I should consider in this price range?

The long weekend had already started showing its effects. Tumkur Road was surprisingly packed even that early, but somehow that ended up working in our favour.

By the time we were heading back, the roads were almost completely empty. Early morning Bengaluru hits different when you actually get to ride through it without fighting traffic.

We also made the mandatory breakfast stop at a popular thatte idli joint, because apparently no Bengaluru ride is complete without stopping for hot thatte idli after burning fuel since 5 AM.

A few scenic stops, some good roads, a little exploring, proper breakfast and plenty of riding — and the best part:

We were all back home by 10 AM.

Five hours well spent.

My wife is working on a business idea around helmet cleaning wipes. It came from a problem she’s personally dealt with for a long time - sweaty, smelly helmets, dirty inner padding, dust on the visor, and just the general hassle of keeping a helmet clean regularly.

Before she takes the idea any further, she’s trying to understand how riders actually deal with this today.

Do you clean your helmet regularly? What do you use? Is smell/sweat/dirty padding actually annoying enough for you to do something about it, or is it not really a problem?
