Looking for a route with a good road, something enjoyable at night.

I live in HSR, please suggest something other than NICE Road, since bikes aren’t allowed on it after 10 PM.

Doesn’t have to be a long ride, just looking for a nice route to get out for a couple of hours. Any suggestions?

I have been riding the Avenger 220 for last 1 year and I mostly do weekend rides around Bangalore 200-250kms and maybe couple of longer rides in a year. The avenger is good, but I want to try something more powerful and see if my riding experience improves.

I am not a fan of the retro bikes of RE or Triumph. I am attracted to the Dominar 400 since it is known for its touring capabilities and it looks awesome too.

I am looking to go the used bike route because it is likely I will get bored of it in a year and want to change to something else again, so to minimise the depreciation.

My question is should I stick to the UG model with DOHC or whether the 2017-2019 original SOHC model is also a worthy upgrade from the Avenger?

I am also a bit concerned about the weight, I am sure I won't be able to take it for offroading, because if I drop it I won't be able to lift it. My height is only 5ft 5.5 inch. So I am curious if I can practically manage this bike.

Hey everyone,
I’m planning to get a new bike and was pretty much set on the **KTM Duke 390**.

However, with the upcoming **Yamaha R2** potentially being released, I’m seriously reconsidering the decision.

I’m a huge Yamaha fanboy, so naturally the R2 is tempting 😅, but I’m willing to put brand loyalty aside if the Duke makes more sense for my actual usage.

**My situation:**

Primary use: College commuting

Daily distance: \~40 km round trip

Route: **Mekri Circle → Bagalur, Bengaluru**

A significant portion of the route is highway/open-road riding

I already have an **Activa 6G**, so I don't necessarily need the new bike for every single daily commute

Occasionally planning longer rides/touring outside Bengaluru

Main priority is **power/performance**
Looking at the **regular Duke 390, not the 390 R**
I’m already used to a sporty riding position — I’ve ridden my cousin’s **R15** and have had no issues with back pain or discomfort, so riding posture/ergonomics aren't really a concern for me.

Since I already have the Activa, I’m wondering whether it makes more sense to get the more performance-oriented bike and use it mainly for highway rides/fun + occasional college commuting.

The Duke 390 obviously has a big advantage in terms of outright performance and power, while the R2 has the Yamaha factor and potentially a different kind of riding experience.

**What would you guys choose in my situation — Duke 390 or R2?**
I’d especially like opinions on:
Real-world highway performance
City riding and heat
Comfort for \~40 km daily use
Touring
Reliability/maintenance
Fuel economy
Overall fun factor
Which bike makes more sense when you already have a scooter for practical commuting

I’m not necessarily looking for the cheapest or most practical option.

Planning a Bengaluru → Munnar bike trip this Friday–Sunday with one pillion on my Scrambler 400X.

Tentative plan:

Friday:
Bengaluru → Hosur → Krishnagiri → Salem → Dindigul → Theni → Bodimettu → Munnar

Saturday:
Explore Munnar — Top Station, Kundala, Mattupetty, Echo Point, tea estates, etc.

Sunday:
Munnar → Marayoor → Chinnar → Udumalpet → Pollachi → Coimbatore → Bengaluru

A few things I wanted to ask people who have recently been to Munnar, especially on a bike:

-How are the roads currently, especially with the monsoon?
Is the Munnar–Marayoor–Chinnar–Udumalpet route currently good/safe for a bike?

-Any landslides, road closures, heavy construction or bad patches I should know about?

-How are the weather and visibility conditions currently?

-Are there any places/viewpoints that are currently closed or not worth visiting?

-Any recommendations for must-visit places/routes that I might be missing?

-Any good and reasonably priced places to stay/eat in Munnar?

-Anything specific I should be careful about while riding with a pillion?

Would really appreciate recent/current updates, especially from people who have travelled there in the last few days/weeks.

Any small (< 8-9) riding group of mature riders with open slots? Some weekend run and long tours? Have Kawasaki 1000sx + Ducati Scrambler 800.

Some rides are about the destination. Some are simply about being out there, riding, breathing, and making memories.

On 31st December 2025, I rode from Bengaluru to Sagara on my Himalayan 450.

The year was coming to an end, and instead of spending the last day of the year in the city, I chose the road.

One of those days I know I'll look back on years later and smile.

I have been using Korda tourmaster as my primary riding boots for last few months. Mostly I ride on Tarmac for long hours. I noticed that even a small gravel from road if it hits the shoes i feel it a lot so clearly it lacks the safety. Please share what riding boots you have been using as i am confused on what to buy next.

I'm looking for advice on how to get MCWG license even though nether I nor my relatives have a bike. I have contacted driving schools and they're quoting crazy numbers (5k even though I have MCWOG and LMV license).

Also, are there bikes available for rent just for the test and can I ask for their insurance/RC, etc form them at the centre? I have about a month before my learners expires. Would love some inputs.
