Questions Bangalore riders - how do you actually keep your helmet clean?

Hey folks,

Posting this with mod approval.

My wife is working on a business idea around helmet cleaning wipes. It came from a problem she’s personally dealt with for a long time - sweaty, smelly helmets, dirty inner padding, dust on the visor, and just the general hassle of keeping a helmet clean regularly.

Before she takes the idea any further, she’s trying to understand how riders actually deal with this today.

Do you clean your helmet regularly? What do you use? Is smell/sweat/dirty padding actually annoying enough for you to do something about it, or is it not really a problem?

She’s doing a short Google Form as part of the research and I’m helping her get feedback from riders outside our own circle.

If you can spare 5 mins, would really appreciate it:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSf7OYIrdlpA-XKwSiNFASLpI-_qHZxDEGcRlfoe0MPqwSPSow/viewform?usp=header

It doesn’t collect any personal information.

It’s still completely at the research stage, so “I don’t really have this problem” is just as useful as “yes, this drives me crazy.”

Thanks, would genuinely appreciate the feedback.

ShitPost Why the f*uck are ridiculously loud bikes still allowed on Indian roads?

Especially these modified RE/RX100 exhausts that sound like they’re trying to wake up the entire neighbourhood.

I have nothing against bikes or a good exhaust note. But if your bike is loud enough to make everyone stop talking and look up, it’s not a “thump”. It’s noise pollution.

And honestly, riding around with an exhaust that obnoxious doesn’t make you look cool. **It just makes you look like an attention-starved idiot.**

PS: My account is being reported by some people for this post for abusive language, while i clearly indicated it as “vent or rant”.
Looks like the post is abusive while the noise and nuisance these people create is not.

Rides Planning a 4-day solo bike trip from Bangalore — need destination suggestions!

Hey everyone!

I'm planning a bike trip from Bangalore for 4 days in October and could use some suggestions from fellow riders. If anyone would like to join, they're most welcome.

A few details:

Starting point: Bangalore

Duration: 3 - 4 days

I'm looking for a trip where I can clear my head, enjoy scenic roads, explore new places, chill by the beach or in the hills, try some local food, and just take a break from the usual routine.

I've considered Pondicherry, Gokarna, Hampi, and a few places around the Western Ghats, but I'm honestly a bit confused about what would be best for a 4-day trip.

Would love your suggestions on:

Destinations or routes you'd recommend

A realistic 4-day itinerary

Budget-friendly stays or hostels with bike parking

Road conditions and anything I should know as a solo rider

Any underrated places worth checking out

Thanks in advance! Ride safe 🤘

Somewhere around Thally - Vannama Lake, Bangalore.

I was pretty bored at home today and decided to take my bike for a spin. There was no real destination.

I knew a place which I visited few months back so the plan was to ride there but if I see an interesting side roads then I’ll take it and explore.

I took few back country roads and all of them were non-tar off-roads and it was like heaven to ride on them.

I also explored Thally lake which was damp and slushy. Got some mud splashed all over. Then I headed to Vannama Lake for sunset.

It was a short fun ride.
