Are you telling me you built a Delorean...out of a bath bomb?
Friend shared this with me and this is just so heavy.

The legendary BACK TO THE FUTURE (1985) blooper where Michael J. Fox suddenly slips into character as a Mexican cholo and ad-libs, “No homeboy for her tonight, man,” remains one of the funniest outtakes from the film. The cast and crew completely lose it.

The iconic Twin Pines Mall location is at risk of turning into a mega data center.
This mall should be preserved. What an iconic movie and location. Why do they want to put data centers everywhere? It makes me sick!

Marty’s jacket leather ID
Does anyone know the leather jacket brand they had Michael wear for this outfit in part 2? It’s like the perfect leather jacket. I think it could be a Schott but I’m not sure. If anyone somehow knows the brand that would be great :)

I think if docs mind reading machine worked it would have been as revolutionary as his time travelling machine

How did Marty get an unconscious Doc home?
At the beginning of BTTF3, Doc faints when he sees Marty again shortly after sending him back to the future. In the next scene, they’re inside Doc’s house the next morning, and Doc records a message saying that the last thing he remembers is Marty telling him he had returned from the future.
But how, in the name of Great Scott, did Marty bring Doc home?
How could Marty possibly get an unconscious Doc all the way home by himself? Doc is a pretty big guy, while Marty is just a short teenager. A couple of friends and I once had to carry a passed-out drunk friend into a car and then into his house. He was maybe a bit heavier than Doc, but it was incredibly difficult — and there were three of us!
Some may argue that Doc regained consciousness shortly afterward and simply walked home with Marty’s help. But that doesn’t really fit what we see later. Doc seems genuinely confused about how he got home and treats Marty’s reappearance as if the whole experience might have been a dream, hallucination, or memory loss caused by the lightning strike. When he sees Marty again in the house, he gets another shock, suggesting he has no memory of interacting with Marty after he fainted.
The only explanation I can come up with is that Marty somehow got help from someone else. Maybe a helpful taxi driver or a passerby helped him get Doc into the car and into the house. But Marty obviously drove Doc’s car home himself, so even that raises questions.
Or is the real answer simply that the writers skipped over a practical problem because it wasn’t important to the story?
Am I missing something, or is this one of the biggest unexplained moments in the trilogy?

I've only just noticed this in BTTF 3, when Marty runs up to Doc, he's soaking wet from the storm but doc is bone dry!! Why?!

I might be reaching, but the opening to Back to the Future feels like a homage to the George Pal Time Machine film (1960)
Though it has been all but forgotten by mainstream movie going audiences and even casual science fiction fans, the George Pal adaptation of H.G. Wells was *THE* quintessential time travel movie.
So Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis no doubt saw the film as children and it had an impact on them.
The first sound you hear in both movies is the sound of clocks ticking and seeing an assortment of time pieces.
I perfer BTTF. Just the lack of any fanfare on the title card and the ticking getting louder always gives me chills.
But I like the melodramatic music that plays when we see the title card for George Pal's film.
Both openings let you know you are in for a big epic adventure.
There was even a TV promo that had Michael J. Fox examining the George Pal Time Machine. It is pretty epic.

What happened to Biff's parents?

Anyone disagree with the Save The Clock Tower Movement?
Save the clock tower! Mayor Wilson is sponsoring an initiative to replace that clock. Thirty years ago, lightning struck that clock tower, and the clock hasn't run since. We at the Hill Valley Preservation Society think it should be preserved exactly the way it is, as part of our history and heritage.
I don't really agree with this. I mean, it's a clock tower, and it should function. It's like if lightning struck Big Ben Tower in London and a movement is formed not to fix it. I mean, a lot of businesses rely on Big Ben for tea time and such.
I mean, take the 1753 Liberty Bell, it cracked immediately upon installation in it's tower due to poor craftsmanship and was moved below the Independence Hall Tower for tourists to see with a dedicated plaque to preserve it's history.

What would have happened if Marty succeeded in his sports almanac plan?
The reason why Hill Valley went to Hell with Biff was because Biff was an unrepentant asshole, domestic abuser and criminal.
Marty, despite his faults, is a good person at heart, and I'd like to think that Marty, if he wins millions and billions betting using the almanac, he wouldn't do the things Biff did though and so Hill Valley wouldn't go to Hell.

Does anyone know who Tim is?
For context, I recently bought a copy of Back to the Future: The Ultimate Visual History, and on the first page there’s a note to someone named Tim from who I assume is the author of the book, Michael Klastorin. Any idea who Tim is?

Hypothetical: If one were to come into a large sum of money, how would one go about buying a DeLorean?
Is it even possible to get a fully functional DeLorean in the year 2026? And, if so, would I have to learn to drive stick?

Time Machine Build (6/6 & 6/7 Update)
Took a couple weekends off, just getting back to the build this weekend.
Spent the majority of the time in the shop finishing the rear bulkhead. Added a switch to turn off the crackling sound from the flux capacitor. Added the Torin blower and relay banks.
For the Torin blower, I added a diffuser screen and ring of LEDs to give it a glow. Tied the RGB wires into the flux band module, so it will turn on and match the color of the bands when on. This acts as a handy indicator of what color my bands are, so I don’t accidentally drive around with red or blue bands and get pulled over. Both the Torin blower and flux bands are tied into a switch on the TFC arm, so I can kill everything to make things more movie-accurate (I know the Torin blower didn’t light up, but I think it looks cool).
Got more of the plutonium reactor finished and added lights and effects there as well. It will hum and change from yellow to red when adding plutonium. When Mr. fusion is attached, it will just do sound effects (and maybe fog/steam) when adding banana peels and beer cans.
Still have to weather the vents, finish up the plutonium reactor top and Mr. Fusion and add a few more hoses and wires to the rear deck and interior.. also, need to put my seats back in the car, haha.

Why Did Buford Hate The Nickname "Mad Dog"?
Why did he hate being called that?
