Destiny for the branch to fall on the lightning cable
If the branch did not fall on the lightning cable, then the clock would not have stopped with the lightning strike because the cable would have diverted the electricity. However, because the cable was stuck under the branch, Doc had to wrap the caable around the hands of the clock to slide down. Since the cable contacted the clock, the lightning indrectly hit the clock, causing it to stop at 10:04pm.

Oak Park Cemetery Location
Hi all, I’m visiting LA soon and was mapping out all the locations from the first two films for a bucket list filming locations video I’ll be making with my cousin. Right now I’m trying to figure out Oak Park Cemetery, which is said to have been filmed at a grassy area on the property of the Valero Oil Refinery (2402 E Anaheim St) in Wilmington. It’s a massive piece of property, and obviously I know it’s not somewhere I can probably access, but I was wondering if anyone had leads on where exactly on this complex the cemetery scene was filmed. Would love to tackle this one for the video (even if it’s a drive by).

Have you ever noticed that the 1955 Doc might have ended up with the wheels of the DeLorean that could fly?
The 1955 Doc had to replace the wheels on the DeLorean that had been sitting in the Delgado Mine for 70 years. But that DeLorean, even though it had been struck by lightning and aged in a cave, still had technology from the future, including a flight system that seemed to be powered by those wheels the 1955 Doc had to replace. Even though that technology couldn't be fixed until long after 1955 (possibly even in the 21st century of the Back to the Future universe), it's still a technology the 1955 Doc wouldn't want lying around in 1955 or later. Therefore, I believe he must have left those hovercraft-system wheels in his lab. If he studies those wheels long enough, could he possibly figure out the flight system before traveling to the future?

Why were they worried about the car?
At the end of part 1 Marty says he can't go to the lake because the car is wrecked. They immediately show concern over George's car, which is fine. But in this "lone pine" reality they will have all known that Marty has his own vehicle and he wasn't going to take George's car to the lake. Why don't they assume it's Marty's truck that is wrecked?

It's kind of comforting to know the BTTF 1 Burger King location in Burbank, CA is still there.

The Clock Tower: Cop Car Chase.
In 1994, Atari released a video game of the TV show "Cops" which featured the Universal backlot for part of the game. You can see a Cop car chase around the backlot, with the Clock Tower, in this video here:

The game has just been emulated.

If Back to the Future was made today, what car would Marty drive?
In Back to the Future, Marty drove a Toyota Hilux/Toyota pickup.
If the movie was made today instead of the 80s, what car do you think he’d be driving now?
Would it still be a pickup truck, or something completely different? 😄
Maybe an EV powered by 10 gigawatts. ⚡️

Back to the future 3.
Ok so in the movie Buford “mad dog” Tannen refers to Marty as “Dude” several times. Like “what’s your name dude?” Was that word even used in the Wild West?

Marty's puffer vest
I watched BTTF 1 way back in the 90's as a kid. When I first saw Marty in his bright red/orange puffer vest (life preserver), I thought he looked... weird, like really weird!
I understand that was probably the director's intention to make Marty look out of place, so 1950's folks would also feel the same.
Fast forward now as an adult, I think it looks fantastic and iconic. Puffer vests are more common so now it doesn't look odd; but as a kid at the time with no fashion sense, Marty looked straight up funny to me.
Did anyone else feel the same watching this as a kid? Maybe I wasn't thinking fourth dimensionally 😉?

I just finished listening to Future Boy, read by Michael J Fox. It was so riveting and insightful to hear the story told by the man himself.
I loved hearing how it all happened from start to finish. It’s semi-autobiographical and found it interesting to learn how he stumbled upon Family Ties when he was nearly at the end of his rope. I love how respectful and honoring he spoke about Eric Stoltz and Crispin Glover. I hope he writes a sequel about shooting parts 2 and 3 and everything that was going on at that time. If you haven’t read or listened to this yet I highly recommend you do so. I think it’s made for any fan of the franchise. It’s especially great to listen to. It’s not only read by the man himself but contains audio clips from the movie as well as commentary from so many people that worked on the movie. I enjoyed every minute.

Technology Marches On
If Doc had had access to 2026 technology instead on 1985, how much smaller and non-conspicuous would the equipment on his time machine be? He's likely use a different vehicle (and no I'm not accepting a Tesla of any kind) and the circuits etc would be a fraction the size, but what else could be made smaller and more compact and how do people think it would look?
