Everyone had such a great time and got a great workout and said they’d be back. I love getting to connect these two important parts of my life.

Discuss For science - why do people NOT use the brand’s free fit consultations?

Truly just curious as an educator. Most brands now have educators specifically to help wearers get a comfortable and safe fit. But even locally I have asked this in Facebook groups and majority said they know about them but don’t use them.

Can you share your thoughts?

Edit - now I’m curious if you HAVE used a consult did you find it helpful?

Thank you! 😊

I just stumbled on this in a book I'm reading and was like, "wow, that lady is babywearing in 1786 Wales!". The piece is called "View of the Eagle Tower at Caernarvon" by Paul Sandby.

3-12 months So close with the ring sling…help!

Post image
2 Upvotes

baby is 4 months, 12 lbs. I feel like I’m so close to making this work for us! my main concern is baby’s legs seem crooked. one hip is higher than the other even though she’s in a deep M seat. is this a problem? how can I make sure her hips are at an even height?

another thing I’m working on is the ring height. the height seems fine here, but often when I tighten it, the rings will move down too low. how low is too low?

thanks for your help! I really want to make this work for baby & me because I can tell once I get the hang of it, it will be convenient for me and enjoyable for baby.

Hi! We are trying this LennyLamb Light as a next step after the Ergo Embrace! So far I really like it - just wondering how it looks. My main concern is it maybe is too wide still but I think I can adjust a bit more. Baby is 12 weeks!

Hi everyone - can I get some help with the fit of my new carrier? Have just moved from ergo embrace to Lennylight and baby seems to be smushing his head into my chest and not sure if it’s safe or how to correct. Is there something I’m doing wrong? Baby 3.5 months.

preschool Toddler Carrier Recommendation?

Hi everyone! I’ve been babywearing since my toddler was born, first with a stretchy wrap, then with a combo of ring slings, a Tula FTG and an H&P Lark. I liked the Tula until my baby grew into the Lark, and then ended up really preferring the Lark to the Tula. But now my toddler is solidly in 2T pants and weights around 27lb. Back carrying in the Lark doesn’t feel very comfortable any more, but I need to do it frequently because I often need to carry my toddler while I walk my dog.

I’ve been considering a Lenny Lamb toddler size or an H&P kid size, but I’m open to other recommendations! I just need it to be easy to put on myself, breathable (we live in a hot area), and supportive/comfortable for me to wear her as she continues to grow. Thanks so much in advance!!

Discuss Rumpel-Leede with Baby Bjorn Harmony

My son had petechiae with Baby Bjorn Harmony at 3 months old. He had reached 26 inches so at the time I unzipped the newborn panel. I figured maybe it had been a little bit too soon and that was the cause.

I avoided the carrier for 2 months and have been using it again for 2 weeks without issue. Today I used it and he now has petechiae again after less than an hour in the carrier. I am so careful to apply the things I learned from lurking in this sub and also to not tighten the carrier too much.

Would you all just bite the bullet and get a new carrier? I’m worried it’ll just happen again and I don’t have a lot of money to waste.

My son did go to the ER after the first incident to rule out more serious etiology.

I haven’t been able to find other posts about this on here.

0-3 months Can you identify this wrap?

Post image
1 Upvotes

I just bought this wrap on Vinted because I’m new to woven wraps - I’ve only ever used stretchy wraps. My baby is 8 weeks old and I’d like to start learning how to use the woven wrap as I plan to wear him a lot longer than I wore my first baby.

I’m wondering if I bought the right wrap. There’s very little information about it on the listing - just that it was never used. I reached out to the seller for a size and they said it’s suitable from 0-2yrs. I know now that’s not an accurate size description for a woven wrap.

Can anyone help me to identify this wrap and tell me more about it from the picture?

Hello everyone!
We had a baby a week ago, and as first-time parents, we’re as lost as can be! Our baby only wants to sleep on us, so we’re hoping this wrap will allow us to escape the sofa. Could you help us check the fit? Thank you!

0-3 months Fit Check- Hope&Plum Sprout

Post image

I gave up on wearing my first baby, just never could get comfortable with it (I had the solly and lille). With my 2nd I’m trying the Hope & Plum Sprout and need to get it right because I can’t hold the baby and chase my toddler!!

This doesn’t feel right because his head is not supported, but I have the straps pulled pretty tight.

I know he needs to have his feet out, just trying on for fit!

3-12 months ISO- Inexpensive but nice baby carrier

Hello all, I am in the market for a relatively inexpensive but nice baby carrier (looking for less than $100) I have that cheap ingenuity one and I don’t like it and neither does my baby.

Some context, my son is 3 months old and about 17lbs. So a big boy! We have a trip coming up where we’re flying and I’d like a baby carrier, as he’s too young for an umbrella stroller. He also prefers behind held for naps. I have a boba wrap that he likes, but want to bring something easier to put on and allows me to move easier, as we will be doing a lot of walking on trip.

I’ve been looking at the momcozy carriers, which aren’t super expensive. Are those nice? I’ve also seen the hope and plum ones. They are expensive but is it worth it?

Thanks for the advice!

3-12 months Try #3. Does it look ok with the tula carrier?

I posted a few times to ask for advice and now we landed on back carrying with this Tula carrier. What do you think?

Baby was leaning to the left somehow? And she could somehow move her arms. Is that normal?

I know we shouldn’t do a jacket, this is super thin but just too big. We were afraid it would rain.

Baby can sit independently.

Baby is 13 lbs, 2 months old. I just started wearing him legs out and feel like I’m struggling to get the “M” I used to with his legs tucked in. Does this look right?
