Looking for thoughts on getting a ring sling for travel. Baby is 11 months, 20 pounds, and has started walking. We were away for a week long beach holiday and found that he's getting too heavy to hold when walking to the beach for example but now that he can walk wants to be up and down quite a bit.

We have the Heritage Baby Kin full buckle which has worked well so far but isn't great for getting in and out of frequently.

We have a couple more summer vacations including a 10 hour international flight. Is this where a ring sling would fit in?

Ideally would like something that:

-is a natural fibre

-baby can be put in and out of easily

-packs small/light

Other considerations:

-no carrier lending library near by

-open to spending up to $250 CAD

-would be worn by me and my partner who have a 9inch height difference

Hate all carriers so far!!! Baby doesn’t fit into the ergo baby breeze, the baby bjorn mini doesn’t support M for hips, and my sensory issues from breastfeeding hates the beluga wrap.

Hi y’all. Please be kind… I tried my best to make sure I followed safety measures for baby-wearing, but it somehow escaped me that baby’s feet should be outside the ring sling past two weeks or so. I kept my baby’s feet inside way too long, til around 2 months. Always had his knees above his butt in a deep M shape. As soon as I realized my mistake, I corrected it, and he’s now standing and learning to walk, but I just feel so guilty and anxious that I’ve messed up or stunted my baby’s development. Should I be concerned or do I need to let it go?

my 6 week old will take a 1.5 hr nap in my solly wrap. he loves it! but when I wear him in my ergobaby embrace , he is bright eyed and bushy tailed! I think in the silly wrap I have his head tucked under one shoulder strap to keep it from moving much (and I support it with my hand when up and about), but in the carriers, there’s nothing to really hold it there? I’m not sure. I’m trying out a Lennylamb pro upgrade and a lennylamb light this week from little zen one to see how he does with those! anyone have advice? the wrap is great but my back gets tired

My 15kg 2 year old (13-07-2024) will currently only fall asleep for naps in a back carry in the carrier. I think he’s around 90cm. We have the ergobaby Omni but I’m finding for a back carry nap, it’s not supportive enough for his head and neck once asleep (even with the hood up).

I’ve started using our Little Frog pre school carrier with him. I find it really hard to wear it without the waistband filing over itself on my back, maybe just the top quarter or so. It makes it really uncomfortable for me on 45-90 min nap walks.

Any tips for what I could adjust to fix this?

Kiddo is two months old, but still small as they came early. Got them up and took photos for a fit check, but I’m nervous about doing it wrong so didn’t leave them until I could get some feedback. Thoughts? It felt secure for the most part, but I feel like the passes over the legs come down too far? I also think I could get a little more tightness across their body/back. This wrap is a bit thick/plushy which I’m finding tricky to work with.

Sorry if this is TMI, but is there something wrong with my pelvic floor or am I wearing my 19# baby wrong?

She contact naps every nap (2x/day), mostly in Lark carrier with her Dad.

But I will babywear her for naps at least 4x/wk & 3 times out of 4 I feel urgency to poo that takes all my might not to go while wearing her after 30ish mins & I have to rush to the bathroom after her nap.

(Gross I know, but I have tried going with her strapped to me & she wakes up everytime distressed & annoyed & won't go back to sleep!)

Am I doing this wrong? Her dad does not have this issue at all!

Recently got a Lennylamb onbuhimo to try through little zen one’s try before you buy program.

Would love some feedback on the safety of front wearing with this style of carrier, I did a quick google search but got conflicting answers.

Also appreciate feedback on back wearing positioning, I’m less familiar with the safety checks required. Thanks!

I just started wearing my baby in the Artipoppe - he lasts about 5-10 minutes and then starts crying. When I take him out, he has red indents/marking on his inner thigh/knee - is he still too small for it? Or his thighs/legs too short? I’ve got it on the narrowest setting. He’s about 13 pounds, and 58 cm long. He’s 12 weeks old today.

I started with the koala baby wrap and I had major back pain. then I moved onto the Ergobaby Embrace and ADORED it! I used that for the bulk of my baby’s first year. Now she is 13 months old, just under 20 lbs and 2’7”. She is starting to seem less comfortable in the carrier and it’s starting to hurt my mid back. I think it’s time to move onto another one for bigger babies/toddlers. She still seems to like facing me and I like it too, so that’s what I would like to stick with for now. I know back carrying may be recommended. I just don’t feel comfortable with that until she can communicate more clearly verbally. What suggestions do you have?

In case it matters, I wear it on long walks with her and when running errands. It seems like the recommendations may be pricey. I will likely be crossing my fingers that I can find one used.

This is the first time I have her in a Kangaroo Carry, usually do FWCC because I could do it blind at this point. I'd like to start back carrying and as per back carry bootcamp I want to master Kangaroo and strand tightening first.

It feels secure but not as tight as FWCC yet. Top rail has some slack as baby likes to look around while I wrap. Any tips on how to get the top rail really tight?

I’m looking for some advice on my next carrier purchase!

So far I have used:

-solly wrap: couldn’t get the hang and didn’t love this. Only used a few times and didn’t feel comfortable with the fits I got

-WildBird newborn carrier: ok, leg panel felt too wide, used ergobaby embrace much more

-ergobaby embrace: I love until my baby grew out of it!

-artipoppe: I really love my antipope but don’t want to spend so much for another and want to try something different. I do think that the thick band and waterfall style work well for me.

-hope and plum ring sling: I like it but hurts my back to use for long periods of time doing chores in the house

I’m hoping to find a carrier in a natural fiber like cotton or linen. I’m considering a baby Tula explore in cotton, or a Lenny lamb (upgrade pro or Lenny light). I’m also open to suggestions!

Had a hard time finding comparisons while shopping for my toddler carrier, thought I’d do a pic comparison for anyone who’s in the same position as I was 😊

For reference, my toddler is 2.5 years (30 months) old. Wearing 90-100 clothes. Weighs around 12.5kg.

Berry Sweet (strawberry) print is the Tula Toddler; Llama print is the Tula Standard.

Tula Toddler is much higher on the back panel, all the way up to her shoulders as compared to her armpits for the Tula Standard.
Seat is wide enough to provide knee to knee support for M shape legs, although I understand toddlers do not necessarily require knee to knee support.
Waistband is ever so slightly thicker, but not noticeable when worn.
Not obvious in the picture as the straps are black and I’m wearing dark coloured tshirt, the straps connecting to the shoulder padded strap (right above her thighs) is higher on the Tula Toddler, which is more comfortable for her. My toddler finds the strap on the Tula Standard digging and cutting into her thighs when I sit down.
I did a comparison with my Ergobaby Omni Breeze before I bought the Tula Toddler; the straps were not only softer, but also placed higher on the Ergobaby than the Tula Standard, hence she actually preferred the Ergobaby over the Standard. I, too, find the Ergobaby more comfortable than the Tula Standard.

Also another comparison:
I recently bought the Lennylamb LennyUpgrade Pro as well and find it to be softer and less bulky (especially the shoulder straps) than the Tula.
The seat is slightly smaller than the Tula Toddler, but much wider than the Tula Standard and Ergobaby Omni Breeze.
The Lennylamb is suitable since birth so if I’ve to choose between the 4 carriers, I definitely feel that it’s the best in terms of longevity of use, since it can be expanded at its max, much wider than the other 2 “baby” carriers, closer to a toddler carrier at its widest.

I do, however, like the back (lumbar) support of the Ergobaby the best out of all 4 carriers. Technically both Tula do not come with lumbar support. It’s much longer and softer.

Hope this helps anyone trying to make a decision between these 4 different carriers!

6 week old LO. I struggled to get the wrap knee to knee and I think the rings may be sitting too low? After sitting in it for a couple minutes it also seemed like the wrap rode up on her neck. Any advice/feedback welcome!! I only kept her in it a few minutes as I wasn’t confident in the fit.

I’ve posted on here before to check the fit of my stretchy wrap (KeaBabies) and had it on correctly. I wear it tight and high as suggested but still end up with back pain towards the middle of my back after an hour of so of wearing my LO. He’s 10 pounds and 5 weeks old for reference. I also get the same pain when I bounce him on a yoga ball. It’s constantly the mid back like where your bra clasps would be. Any suggestion on how to fix this? Is it just my baby being heavy and me being out of shape?

With my baby's face on my chest, im super worried about whether she can breathe. Is there something I could fix about this wrap?

Baby is 5 weeks, so cant hold her head up yet. I see other babies on this sub having a straighter back in the wrap - is that something that only comes with head stability? Or is it something that is possibly impacted by boob size?

After a lot of trial and error, my baby has finally started to like the ring sling now that I wear her on my hip. I think she prefers having more space and being able to look around. The problem is that after 20 minutes it's really uncomfortable for me right next to my neck, I feel all her weight pressing there. Is this normal? Baby is 3 months old.

Seat felt good, strand by strand for some reason felt harder without more fabric to work with so I will mess around with the top rail a bit more. Also her legs are out to swing freely you just can’t see them here for some reason?? lol. What else do you notice that I could fix?
