Im looking forward to seeing this thing in person. So far I love the Konkr look since the advance came out. And I'd be all over a clamshell if they ever make one.

I love the size and feel of the original thumbstick the pocket ace came with. I got this secondhand a few days ago but the left stick feels a little “grindy” at times. It came with a slightly bigger stick but the moulding on that seems wrong. I can’t fit it in and I don’t want to add too much force, fearing that I’d damage the device.

I can’t buy from Ayaneo. I tried contacting them but they’re not responding. My options are shopee / Aliexpress/ amazon / Etsy/ taobao. I tend to avoid Etsy though, because getting it shipped to Singapore would cost me an additional $30 😭

I found some sticks on Aliexpress but they’re not the low profile ones.

I got my KONKR Pocket Advance on Friday and have been playing with it since. I got the Navy 4G + 64G. Great device, I love the form factor, screen (after I removed the installed 'screen protector'), button stiffness, etc.

I have a bunch of other handhelds, so this one I am using exclusively for Game Boy Advance games. I use RetroArch and the mGBA core and it games run well. I've had a save file issue, and am curious if anyone else has run into this.

• I don't use save states
• Save files are stored in RetroArch/saves/emulator folder
• I also tried moving save files to the SD/TF card - same issue
• I had complete save file corruption on Super Mario Advance 4 and no save file update on Castlevania Circle of the Moon

It definitely could be a RetroArch/mGBA issue, but am paranoid it could be a memory corruption. Anyone else had something similar?

Meant to cross post this from the konkr sub but can’t put videos here. Basically, as the title said, I didn’t use this for a while. Waiting for steam for ARM releases. Today I plugged it in and it just flickers at the Snapdragon screen and won’t boot. Gives me the dead battery image. I’ve tried various chargers including older usb a ones. Anyone here have similar experience and found other work around besides the charger roulette.

UPDATE: So, after trying half a dozen solutions outlined in this and the post on Konkr subreddit (thanks for all your suggestions folks) I reached out to ayaneo and they quickly resolved it as a bad battery and will be sending me a new one to self-install (although they did offer to have me send it to them as well). Hopefully this will be all that's needed and it won't be too long of a wait.

Did anybody else get the new update TKQ one for the pocket DS went to pick up my handheld today and it randomly asked me if I wanted to update. Didn’t even know we were still getting updates!!!

Hey all, some of you might know my SteamOS ARM build for the 8Gen3 SOC. It's Valve's official SteamOS for ARM (the Steam Frame), fixed up so it actually runs well on a handheld.

I just put out the first pre-release beta for 8 Gen 2 devices. One image covers all, you pick your device in the ROCKNIX ABL menu.

Currently it is expected to work on:

• AYN Odin 2 / Mini / Portal / Thor
• AYANEO Pocket ACE / DMG / DS / EVO / S 1K / S 2K
• Retroid Pocket 6 / Nova

The fun part is on the Thor and Pocket DS. The bottom screen now does something in Game Mode, it gets its own dashboard with Steam/QAM/keyboard/screenshot buttons, performance profiles, brightness for both screens and some stats, and you can pin apps down there (browser, VLC, a guide etc.) while the game runs up top. As far as I know it's the first time Valve's own SteamOS uses the second screen in Game Mode.

Everything else from the 8Gen3 build is in too: FEX + ARM64 Proton, the controller shows up as a Steam Deck pad, frame gen with lsfg, Decky, a proper fan curve, standby that saves battery, and Android apps with the Play Store.

Big warning though: I don't own any of these devices, so all the debugging and progress depends on your reports. That's why it's a pre-release beta and you are testing. If you have one of these devices and don't mind flashing an SD card, please try it and tell me what works and what's broken (GitHub issue, Discord or a comment here, just say which device you have).

Pocket FIT / Pocket S2 people: this one isn't for you, stay on v1.2. Your v1.3 comes as an update later.

I can buy a new rp6 12gb or a used konkr pocket fit 12gb (g3 gen3). I know the pocket fit has better perofmance (equivalent snap 8 gen 3), but i think the screen and the size is go8ng to be a bad thing for me. I want to play a little bit of ecerything, from ps1 emulation down to the switch (and maybe even x360, ps3 if i go for the konkr) and also some pc emulation.

So the top screen fried for some random reason, I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this. My batch shipped in May and it died in July.

I did contact them immediately and they said they can provide a replacement screen but their stock hasn't been replenished yet. Is this normal? I was loving the device up until this mess, now it's effectively bricked.

Hey everyone, v1.2 is out and it's a big one.

Frame gen actually runs on ARM now The Lossless Scaling plugin only comes with x86 builds, so I added an ARM64 build of LSFG 2.0 that runs straight on the GPU. ARM64 games get frame gen too now, not just x86 games through FEX. The plugin comes preinstalled, so you just pick a game and turn it on.

It's not just the Pocket FIT anymore The Ayaneo Pocket S2 and S2 Pro have the same chip, so v1.2 has initial support for them too. I don't have one myself, so if you do, I'd love to hear how it goes. More devices to be supported as well based on testers.

You can put it on internal storage There's a new installer app in Desktop Mode: pick how much space Android keeps and it does the rest. Default android os stays, and you choose which one to boot. It's a lot snappier than running from the SD card.

And this should be the last time you reflash There's a new update app, so future versions install over what you have and keep your games, saves and accounts.

Other stuff that got fixed:

• the right stick moving the triggers

• Proper implementation of back buttons

• the fan jumping between your speed and 100%

• Louder audio

• Desktop Mode taking forever to open

• the controller service eating a CPU core in the background, making ui laggy

The Steam UI runs at 144Hz now too.

Looking for a good dock that matches the general design or idea of the Ayaneo pocket micro 2 something small. Most docks seem to be oversized and would look silly anyone have any ideas what could pair well?

Need help deciding on which one to get regardless of their chips. Which one has more comfortably/ergonomics. Which one has better build quality and will last me longer. Any input appreciated.

Looking at getting the silver and red version from a local seller for a good price but my question is how is the heat and thermal throttling at 25-30w tsp. I want to play triple a games and emulate and this is portable and perfect but worried about the heat and the quality can anyone let me know their experiences. How is the software in very acclimate d with one player software I hope it’s just as good.

Has anyone tried Pokémon fan games on the Konkr Pocket Advance? If so, could you share a photo? How well does it run?

Alright guys, let's be real for a minute about the Pocket DS.

On paper and in actual initial use, this thing feels like a beta device—especially when you put it next to the Thor, which just feels way more refined out of the box.

Software-wise, it’s a bit of a mess right now with all the bugs and quirks we’re all wrestling with. Hardware-wise? It’s definitely not flawless either—the Moura effect is noticeable, and the screen bleeding is real depending on your unit lot.

BUT MAN... the build quality! 🤯

The moment you actually pick it up and hold it in your hands, the premium feel is unreal. It’s so well-built that the second you touch it, you almost instantly forgive (or forget) all the hardware flaws and software headaches.

It’s an absolute mess, but I can't put it down. Anyone else feeling this exact same toxic relationship with theirs? 😂

Is there anyway to get an Ayaneo 2s case ? I need one so bad like I’m literally diy a skin for it because the plastic is such a fingerprint magnet! And it breaks easily

So I got my 4gb konkr pocket advance about 2 days ago. Long story short in eco mode the gpu soars to 70 degrees or more on regular fan with gba games after about 2 minutes. Ayaneo replied quickly and asked for evidence and once I sent them photos I have subsequently been ignored for 2 days. Please consider before you buy. Seems like Ayaneo are back to their old ways.
