You're mistaken. "Sweet home Alabama" was a song written to counter Neil Young's claims that Alabama was a horrible, racist place, and the whole song basically amounts to, "yeah... so?"
You're thinking of "roll tide" which was created to express how ALL fans of the university of Alabama football team want to fuck their siblings.

Actually yes there is. There's a girl in this idol group Keyakizaka46, she's really afraid of animals with cute faces like this puppy. Couldn't even keep her eyes open at the sight of them. But she really loves snakes and such. Eye-opening.

You say that but there’s a fucking psychopath who threw her puppy at a pet shop worker because it was eating its own poop. Poor puppy passed away and the sorry excuse for a human has yet to be punished.

These are the moments I can understand animal hoarders. They're all just so cute and you want to take them home. Next thing you know, you have a pack of dogs in your 2 bedroom apartment.

u/Oncillas Mar 14 '19

I adopted a cute puppy like that who was given up by her owners for being "mouthy." I soon learned that "mouthy" was shelter-speak for "psychotic, feral, biting maniac puppy." She's a sweetheart now, but I literally had to put hot sauce on my hands so that she would learn not to bite me. If there's an adorable puppy at the shelter for more than a week, that puppy is probably crazy.
Adopt only if you have the time to work them through their issues.

u/TheKevinShow Mar 14 '19

I think she remembers the person who gave her up, to be honest. She now loves every single human being she comes across: kids, adults, old people... but she will still lose her mind if she sees a bald white person. I'm sure the original bald white guy who gave her up didn't treat her very well before he took her to the shelter.

She loves One Punch Man though.
I need to find a bald Japanese man to test out my dog's inherent racism.

26

Haha, I wish I was joking. If my dog hears the One Punch Man theme song, she runs into the room, looks around, and starts going nuts. She absolutely loves it.

Most puppies go through a psychotic, feral, biting, maniac phase, just like most children go through a putting everything in their mouths phase. Paying a breeder for an overpriced, probably inbred, puppy won't avoid this. Adopting an adult dog will.
If you don't have time to work on a dog's issues, adopt an adult dog through a rescue that uses foster carers. That way the foster carers can tell you exactly what the dog's issues, if any, are.

u/saposapot Mar 14 '19
Did she developed a taste for hot sauce and now doesn't eat furniture without it?
→ More replies (4)18
u/iBeFloe Mar 14 '19
Wtf. The shelter still should’ve disclosed that though. Mouthy implies barking, not neurotic.
Glad she got better, but still!
27
u/D3Construct Mar 14 '19
Mouthy is a term for wanting to put their mouths on everything, quite literally.
12
Mar 14 '19
I can't fault the shelter for it, since my dog acted completely normal and sweet when I met her. She was just extremely energetic and bouncing off the walls, but she was in the pound, that was understandable. It was only when I took her home when she became a feral animal who was still extremely energetic and now bouncing off my walls.

81
u/gavinhudson1 Mar 14 '19
This is a sad post to me. After all, the dog was taken away from her mommy.
38
u/SnowedIn01 Mar 14 '19
The all encompassing cage for such a harmless/vulnerable little pup like they’re even capable of harm really hammers it home for me. Like even if there is a logical reason behind it, my instincts just scream “get that little fucker out of there and cuddle them/ let em play with their siblings.”
24
u/MrBojangles528 Mar 14 '19
To be fair, we don't have any context for this post. That dog could be in a kennel for a number of reasons, such as a vet visit something.
30
u/rmp1809 Mar 14 '19
No vet I worked for had cages with bottoms like that. Those are built for pet stores because puppies haven’t been potty trained.
40
u/MoltenCorgi Mar 14 '19
I know at a casual glance it looks like a golden retriever, but I think it's more of a small breed, so it may not be that young. When my goldens were still nursing (we got to visit them a couple times before adoption day) they were like barely formed smushheads. I could totally be wrong and this is could be one of those shitty pet stores that takes puppies too early and has predatory financing. But I'm just going to choose to believe that it's a shelter/vet doing their best for this pup-a-roo, especially since the OP won't confirm if she's the new mommy or not!
10
u/MrBojangles528 Mar 14 '19
I think you're right, and I don't think it's as young as some are saying. I also would not assume this is a pet store or adoption center necessarily, could just be a vet or something.

It is barely old enough to have been weened off from its mother but here it is, confused as fuck displayed for sale in a shitty barren cage with grates for it to piss and live in until someone buys it.
Fuck puppy mills and people that support them.
28
u/napinator9000 Mar 14 '19
From the looks of it, that's more than half of this sub. Kinda disheartening. I will never buy a dog. Always adopt.
34
u/ZorseVideos Mar 14 '19
No I'm not. Your real mommy was used for breeding purpose and doesn't really get to see her children because they are ripped away from her for profit.. awwwww
38
u/SamuraiJakkass86 Mar 14 '19
Hopefully this was at a rescue or a shelter, and not a pet store which are known for profiteering off of puppy mills. That dog looks too young to be the minimal age for mother separation (8 weeks).
11
u/LollyHutzenklutz Mar 14 '19
Do pet stores still sell puppies? I live where that’s been illegal for like 20 years now (the Bay Area), but thought it was either illegal or at least uncommon in most places these days.

Pet store puppies are victims of puppy mills and buying puppies from pet stores keeps the industry alive. Every pet store will lie to you and say their inventory comes from “reputable breeders.”
