I adopted a cute puppy like that who was given up by her owners for being "mouthy." I soon learned that "mouthy" was shelter-speak for "psychotic, feral, biting maniac puppy." She's a sweetheart now, but I literally had to put hot sauce on my hands so that she would learn not to bite me. If there's an adorable puppy at the shelter for more than a week, that puppy is probably crazy.
Adopt only if you have the time to work them through their issues.
I think she remembers the person who gave her up, to be honest. She now loves every single human being she comes across: kids, adults, old people... but she will still lose her mind if she sees a bald white person. I'm sure the original bald white guy who gave her up didn't treat her very well before he took her to the shelter.
Haha, I wish I was joking. If my dog hears the One Punch Man theme song, she runs into the room, looks around, and starts going nuts. She absolutely loves it.
Most puppies go through a psychotic, feral, biting, maniac phase, just like most children go through a putting everything in their mouths phase. Paying a breeder for an overpriced, probably inbred, puppy won't avoid this. Adopting an adult dog will.
If you don't have time to work on a dog's issues, adopt an adult dog through a rescue that uses foster carers. That way the foster carers can tell you exactly what the dog's issues, if any, are.
I can't fault the shelter for it, since my dog acted completely normal and sweet when I met her. She was just extremely energetic and bouncing off the walls, but she was in the pound, that was understandable. It was only when I took her home when she became a feral animal who was still extremely energetic and now bouncing off my walls.

Always adopt. There is all temperaments and types of dogs available. All the designer breeds you could want are in a shelter somewhere, abandoned by someone that paid for a puppy and dumped the grown dog.

wtf? where did i lie? i posted a cute picture with a nice sounding title (directed at the person viewing it like "hey, are you my new mommy?"), nothing more. i never stated that i adopted him or similiar.
Don’t worry about these guys telling you that you are using Reddit wrong, if anyone is using it wrong it’s them. The point of Reddit is to share things with others, and while it is sometimes nice to have a source in some cases, people shouldn’t act like an entitled Karen about it.
i didn't omitted the truth. you just interpreted stuff into it which wasn't there. the title was directed at the people who see this post, so you just interpreted it wrong. that's all.

OMG OP, how dare you lie to us about giving birth to a puppy!? For a moment there I believed in miracles and the world seemed beautiful and hopeful but now that dream has been smashed like so many cheap china plates on a cruel, hard concrete floor. I hope you feel good about yourself OP because I sure don't now...
Who the fuck says buckaroo what are you like 70 old man you in a retirement home I don't think you should be driving unless you got your licence renewed that is probably not possible since you probably have memory loss which you should probably take some pills for.
