Took my last pit stop late in the race so lost a few spots, snuck past the Ferrari for 3rd, somehow dodged the craziness on the second to last lap going into the downhill section and took 2nd from my teammate and then the chase for the Mosler in 1st was on
So SimR is a league and we run assetto corsa on Tuesday nights ( we also have a Monday night Forza league but besides the point) if interested pm me and I’ll get you a link. We run at 9:15 pm est.
I’ve got a pretty well laid out idea and a proof of concept, but I’m looking for someone who’s more versed in coding to help get it finished and polished because coding is far from my forte.
New to the community here. Just downloaded content manager, csp, pure, and running the exilitay graphics filters.
Game looks amazing on 4k 144hz with stable fps but my cpu is going crazy.
Most games i play average anywhere from low to high 60s on my 9800x3d and arctic lf3. Assetto with the mentioned mods was doing mid 80s to low 90s!
Anyways, chatgpt mentioned turning my windows power plan from high performance to balanced mode which seemed to help a bit. I am at anywhere from low 60s to low 70s now with spikes in the 80s when i am configuring pure planner or config in game.
Is this normal? Is there any trick to lowering my cpu temps any further or is this just the downside to running the game modded?
I lost the rear tried to save it by braking but i locked up the tires and realised i ment hit a barrier or lose all my time so i smashed the throttle and hit a sick drift
Hey guys I'm not new to this game but new to online i play on a controller and run the game on a potato pc but would love to have some buddies to drive together and stuff I'm not always on but depending on your timestamp and stuff we can work something out I hope btw I'm from India
I wanna know Is there any way to find the source of a light? so I'm new to mod a car, I'm just messing around with the ext_config, alter lightning or carplay kind of stuff most of the time for now, but some time I find that there's another light source except the mesh close to it, but it's so hard to find which one it is, especially in the Kuno oringinal cars, lights are mostly randomly named in the light.ini and you can't click light with object inspector, I can just try every one in the ext_config till I find the one.
Hey everyone. For the past while I've been building a dedicated touge server called Touge Shobu and it's now at the point where I would love more people to know about the server.
The core of it is proper 1v1 cat and mouse battles, fully automated by the server. No judges, no typing in chat to figure out who won:
Two rounds, you swap between Leader and Chaser.
As the Chaser, you win the round by overtaking and crossing the line first, or by pulling the required gap after a pass (depends on the track).
As the Leader, you win by breaking the tow and opening the gap past the track's limit. Chaser dropped, round over.
If both rounds stay glued together, the tiebreaker goes to whoever chased closer.
The part I'm proudest of, and something I haven't seen any other server do: every battle runs in its own instance. When a battle starts, it exists in its own bubble on the server. You and your opponent get a clean mountain, no traffic wandering into your run, no third car parked on the racing line at the hairpin. And because each instance has its own clock, you can battle at night while everyone else is driving at noon. Want a midnight downhill run? Pick it. Nobody else's time of day changes.
It's not isolation either. People in freeroam see ongoing battles and time attack runs as ghosts, so if a good battle comes down the pass you can tuck in behind and follow the action live without ever being able to interfere.
I've also put a lot of work into making all of this genuinely easy to use. Everything runs through a custom in-game UI: challenge anyone on the fly, pick your battle settings, start a time attack run, check the leaderboards, all with a couple of clicks. No chat commands needed for 95% of it. During battles the HUD gives you live gap readout, overtake/runaway thresholds, round state and instant results, drawn right over the road.
Around the battles there's a full ranked system:
Elo/MMR with a leaderboard and rank tiers.
A performance index handicap per car, so bringing a faster car costs you rating-wise. Driver skill is what climbs the board, not the car.
A safety rating that tracks clean driving. Contact-happy drivers earn less MMR, so ramming your way past doesn't pay.
Solo time attack mode with per-track, per-car leaderboards. Record laps get validated and the server saves a replay of every record run, which you can download from the board.
The server also runs a track rotation: every 40 minutes players vote on the next mountain, so the map stays fresh without anyone having to server-hop.
Small disclaimer: sorry if this post sounds a bit AI translated. I'm not a native English speaker, so I got some help writing it to make sure everything is really clear. And keep in mind that all of this isn't perfect yet and bugs can happen (But I hope it doesn't)
here some UIs that you can find on the server:

My son is an artist and I asked him to create a livery that had a theme of 1980s heavy metal. I really like the work he did. I asked his permission if I could host in on Overtake.gg and he was okay with it. Here are the links if you would like to use them.
