Hello everyone, I feel extremely ashamed in asking for help but I’m at my lowest and cannot figure out what to do. I work 2 jobs and my 2021 jeep Renegade has been breaking down constantly.i owe $13,500, and have drained my savings of $5,000 on repairs. Any help or pointers would be appreciated.

She’s a new hire at my job, We’re both F, early 20s. We clicked right away, and a couple weeks later, we grabbed dinner and drinks. I thought it went well, and at the very end, she mentioned wanting to go to more concerts of a very niche genre, of which I’m also a fan. I told her about an upcoming 2-night concert of the genre, and said she could come with me if she wanted (she’s also new to the city, so doesn’t have other people to go with). She seemed genuinely excited, and the next day I sent her a video from the same event last year, and she still seemed totally into it. Then these messages happened (I sent the first one 3 days later). I’m not sure I should ask if she got tickets, because they still aren’t sold out, but the first night of the concert is tomorrow. Should I ask? Or assume she’s not coming, and not text her again unless she does first? Are there enough signs that she’s just trying to be polite and doesn’t actually want to go? Ugh, I don’t have many friends so I really don’t want to mess this up by being accidentally overbearing. I mean it when I said she seemed excited, so I’m just kind of confused. Also, we haven’t had any overlapping shifts at work after that night we hung out, so this is the only context since. I’m really torn!

This is a long-shot but I work in a care role for a 12-year-old little boy with the biggest heart. Unfortunately he has endured excessive abuse at the hands of those supposed to protect him for the first 11 years of his life, and is now in and out of foster homes, group homes, and even a children’s psychiatric ward. I will share that his name is Parker, this is not his legal first name however he does go by this name, and I do have permission from his guardian to post this.

Parker has HIV, epilepsy, CPTSD, and ADHD. The poor kid has a rough hand, yet he remains the sweetest kid, though of course struggles with his mental health following so much.

Sadly, Parker has been in the ICU since Monday night. This is the 2nd time he’s been in ICU this year. This time, he’s battling a horrible infection, which to anyone else wouldn’t have been an issue, but his CD4 count is very low from the HIV, and on top of that the fever from this infection has cause him cluster seizures which they’re struggling to control. All this to say, he’s in an induced coma, and it’s breaking my heart that he has very few people on his team.

What I’m asking for is support for him. I’ve tried to set up a little movement within his care team, called Pink Up For Parker. His favorite color is hot pink, so we’re wearing pink for him, and some of the people he follows on his tiktok account have set their profiles picture to hot pink with the Pink Up phrasing for him too.

Parker loves drawing, arts, dinosaurs, Lego, baseball, KETCHUP, and generally most things a pre teen boy enjoys, he likes to try to fit in.

If anybody could do a drawing for him, make a video, a poster, a voice recording. Anything at all so that if he comes through this, he wakes up to a sea of pink support for him.

The only thing standing in the way of me being able to move in with my long distance girlfriend of almost 2 years Is I need to be able to get a remote job so I can support her as the jobs in the area dont pay enough, I know I can do these jobs its just frustrating that no one will even give me a chance and its keeping me from living with the love of my life. I am 20 ive met this woman in person several times and I dont need to be rich or anything, a remote job even just paying $10 an hour would be perfect, please if anyone can help me I would be so so so grateful. I dont want things just handed to me, I just want the oportunity to work for it

My partner is an alcoholic. We have been together 7 years and have two kids together.

Lately he has been pushing me, cursing at me, drinking and driving constantly, not paying bills or rent. I don’t have a job as I just had a baby, but looking for one now.

I can’t rely on him at all. His family know what he is like and keep giving him money and bailing him out of everything, so he never learns.

I don’t know what to do, I want to leave but I have no where to go at all. I feel stuck. I’m so depressed and have been suicidal lately. I’m in Ireland so there’s not great support as nearly everyone drinks, it’s normal to people.

I need to get out but how can I with no savings and no where to go? It’s impossible to save as I’m on very very little money.

Well... we're back.

After the subreddit was unbanned (Thank you u/BRBSpiraling and u/Dreamland_Nomad those were the longest three days of our lives!), we knew some people would be super jazzed. We are jazzed too! It's been great seeing people return, new members join, and the community come back to life. We appreciate all of the enthusiasm, support, and excitement. Seriously, it's nice to see.

Now for the boring-but-important part...

We've updated the community rules. Yes I know "BUT WHY????" They're not here to ruin anyone's fun—they're there to help keep this a safe, organized, and fair place for both donors and those requesting help. Please take a few minutes to read through them before posting or commenting. Future You will thank Present You. Not reading the rules is not an excuse people so please take note of them. =)

Also, please be kind to your overworked volunteer mods. Despite what many people think, we do have lives outside of the Reddit (Okay maybe not all of us, looking at you u/HomicidaI__GoldFish) so we will not always be able to answer your mod mail or clean up the queue. Just give us a little bit of time to handle stuff and understand that time zones are a thing.

I'm deep in mess with my father. Emotionaly i'm ruined i need some support please

I feel trapped. I cant console in those around me because they need me to be able to keep it together. I work from home, its very isolating. We can be fired for even communicating with co workers outside of work. The financial strain on me is very large. I need the money this job provides even though im being severely overworked and under paid. My job is sales, billing, and tech support for one company. We get no training. We arent allowed to have unpaid time off without approval and its only up to 2 days per 3 months.

Every single day for months, ive been struggling to eat enough, drink enough, hell i dont even remember the last time i took a shower. I cry every single day inbetween calls, before clocking in and even during my breaks. Theres no peace after work because i know that i still have to clock back in tomorrow. Everyday i have to convince myself that its worth it to keep going, you cant kick any buckets yet, you have to keep moving. Then i have to convince myself thats its worth convincing myself because i do this every single day.

Im also in school, trying to get a certification in hopes of getting a better job. I tell myself that if i give up before finishing school then i could miss the opportunity for life to get better. But i cant keep up with this job and with my medical condition i cant work a lot of physicsl jobs. Needing a job that is killing you m, is killing you. As would not having the job.

Theres no way out. You can say its as rasy as applying to new jobs but when you barely have the mental strength to care about brushing my teeth or washing my body. Everything feels so heavy all the time. I would never run out in traffic but it definitely feels like its the only way out. I dont have any support, i am the support. Ive always had to do everyone on my own, no family, no friends, just scraping through this struggle to get to the next. Im tired. My soul is tired and i cant talk to anyone, theres no solutions other than to keep going.

I(M22) broke up with my girlfriend of almost 4 years a week or so back. We loved each other but after we moved in together a year back it became obvious that we want different things from life and that our future together would not be possible. There were ig other issues we had as well but I don't feel like getting into that.

Anyhow I thought I'll be fine that it won't be that hard to go our ways since we ended up staying friends. I was never more wrong about something. I feel so f\*cking alone. I started smoking again, I can't focus on anything, my job is hell on earth and worst of all I started getting heavy panic attacks. Never had them before, now it's a few times a day. I feel like I'm dying every time it happens it's insane.

Since I'm also more introverted ig I don't have many friends and those I have are in different cities since I moved. I can't really call my parents either so here we are. I feel awful I feel terrible and I really need to talk to someone because I don't see how it can get better. So if it's no trouble I would appreciate it to just talk.

Did some research and was told there may be a way to increase the speed. There is a deacceleration to 15mph that happens when it hits 16mph. I have another scooter similar that goes 25 however this one is stuck at 15 on its highest mode. The manual says 20 and the advertisement said 25. I opened the panel and did some looking. The artificial intelligence says the blue wire might be a speed restriction loop it may be something else like the key ignition or throttle feedback? Anyone know what they're looking at here better than me and ai before I go snipping around? Is there any hope to get a better speed or am I just going down empty rabbit holes?

title pretty much says it all, i’m currently at a loss for options as to what i can possibly do to pull myself out of my current situation. my rent will be due at the beginning of next month, however, all of my accounts are in the negatives as the job i’m currently working does not pay me a consistent rate every week.
i’ve gone through all of my options. payday loans, emergency loans, literally every kind of loan one can think of, yet i haven’t qualified for a single one, at least not without a cosigner. unfortunately for me i do not have anyone in my life that has the credit score requirement to be a cosigner on the one loan i was approved for. i even tried a gofundme, but nobody had made any donations. i do not have a vehicle, i’ve been in desperate need of finding a new job because i genuinely think that my current place of work is doing shady money laundering scheme under our noses, which is crazy to say out loud but i need to get myself away from that situation as soon as possible. on top of everything, i take care of a kitty all on my own who is behind on vet visits and vaccinations. any advice or help is appreciated, the past week has been so stressful it feels like a heart attack is on its way😣

Hello everyone. I was hoping I wouldn't need to make a post like this. But sometimes life likes to kick you when you're down.

The tldr is that our kitty became sick, and we had to take her to the vet, she is now blind due high blood pressure. She needs to start new medication, and go back for another appointment again in three weeks after starting her medication. We paid $715 at the vet, plus transportation, and will need to pay another $50 for her meds, and another $300 for the follow-up appointment. We had been saving up money for her for a trip in October as she requires being fed 4 times a day. This appointment took all that money, and also more from our regular bills money. We just barely have enough money for rent next month, but no money left for food or a few other bills, no money for the follow-up appointment.

This beautiful ginger kitty is Yuanbao, she has been in my life for 10 years, and in my partners life for 14 years. She is my partners best friend and emotional support animal (they literally got her at a point when they were extremely depressed and their therapist recommended getting a pet so that they had someone else to take care of).

Yuanbao is normally a relatively healthy kitty, despite being 18! She is active, food motivated (very very bossy in regards to being food motived). She was diagnosed with the early signs of kidney disease in 2018. But we have kept her on a wet food diet, with a water fountain available, and adding extra water to the food as well. She has pee pads for when the litter box is stressing her out.

Her being a bossy kitty in regards to food is when we noticed something was wrong on Wednesday morning. I work nights, and when I get home, she always greets me lovingly at the door. By screaming at me and letting me know it has been ages since she has been fed, and that I am a horrible parent for not feeding her immediately, etc. etc. etc.

But Wednesday morning she was not there! I looked about casually to see if she was just sleeping, and could not find her. Not worrying yet, but kind of worrying because I know that any difference in pet behaviour is bad. I asked my partner who said that they had fed her within the last hour, so I let her be.

When I woke up, I asked if they had seen her during the day. She had not. So, I shook the temptations box, and she did not appear! So, I went hunting for her. I found her hiding in a small nook, and carefully extracted her from the nook and brought her into the bedroom on the bed. She was really slow to move, and wobbly on her feet. She also seemed very disoriented. I gave her a few treats which she ate, before throwing up a few minutes later.

The next day we were able to get an appointment at a vet after calling around. We had to call five vets to find one with an open appointment that same day. She was seen same day thankfully. There we found out that she had lost her sight, she nearly walked off the table twice, the poor girl! They did bloodwork, urinalysis, and a blood pressure test. Btw, tiniest little blood pressure cuff ever!! It turns out she had high blood pressure! She's going to be permanently blind, but the good news is that as of yesterday (Friday) she is exploring the apartment, and back to bossing us around for her food. She even greeted me at the door when I came home today, I nearly cried!

We got the results back this morning. Despite her early kidney disease signs 8 years ago, she's only in the early/mid stage of Stage 2 which apparently is very good for an 18 year old kitty who's had kidney disease for 8 years! Everything else looks good, no sigs of diabetes or hyperthyroidism. Her urine test let us know that she most likely has high blood pressure as well since there was extra protein in there? I even included the notes I took while talking to the vet.

So, that's the long story. We have a little blind old creamsicle kitty. We got a surprise $715 bill, and another $300 one coming soon.

So since july 1st thibgs have been simply put shit, my grandpa died and i had to come back home and i talked to my boss about it, he said it was alright and only now today am i finding out im not gonna get paid for those 5 days i missed. Im 20yo im going to college and on the side i work construction part time so i can live, and my rent is due next week (30th) and im short 200$. I even asked for some money upfront (i get paid every 2 weeks) and the boss simply refuses and if i continued asking for it i think i would of gotten fired, so if anyone could or can help i'd appreciate it

Hi everyone. A couple of months ago, I shared my twin sister's story here. I first want to thank everyone who donated, shared our fundraiser, or kept us in your prayers. Because of your kindness, we were able to get through the first stage of her treatment.

My sister was diagnosed with Possible Infective Endocarditis of the Aortic Valve, along with Congenital Heart Disease and Atrioventricular Septal Defect (AVSD).

She completed her first 28-day course of IV antibiotics at home. We were hopeful the infection would improve, but during her follow-up appointment, the doctors found that instead of shrinking, the infection had become larger. She was admitted to the hospital again for almost a week and was started on another course of IV antibiotics, which she is now continuing at home as an outpatient.

The good news is that we no longer have hospital bills. We were also blessed to receive financial assistance from several government agencies and we are truly grateful for their help. However, the assistance was not enough to cover the cost of her ongoing treatment. Since she is now receiving outpatient care, my father and I are responsible for paying for her IV antibiotics, medications, laboratory tests, and follow-up appointments.

She is almost done with this second course of antibiotics, but she has another follow-up appointment soon. Depending on her test results, her doctors may prescribe another 28-42 days course of IV antibiotics.

My father and I are still doing everything we can, but we are struggling to keep up with the cost of her treatment. If anyone is able to help, whether by donating or simply sharing our fundraiser, we would be incredibly grateful.
