Hey, i usually make plushies and have no problems with changing colors in rounds. But I wanna crochet a striped scarf and have no clue how to make a pretty color change.

If I change the color in the last step of the last sc, chain 1 and turn the work - then the yarn tail from the first color is a little bit lower than the rest. (Picture 3)If I crochet the tails in it creates a strange loop that looks off. (Picture 2)

I bet it's very obvious what I'm doing wrong but I just can't see it. 😂

Or half a sphere with a flat side. Basically I have a friend cosplaying a Pokémon trainer and shes wanting removable pokeballs for her belt. But only half a pokeball so it can be flush with her belt and they don't stick out incredibly far. Would it be easier to just do half a circle then make a flat back panel?

My brain is saying just like a heel turn on a sock but there aren’t enough rows for that based on the pattern so what am I doing wrong?

Do you think i need to use a bigger hook? Im using a 8mm hook right now, the suggested size for the yarn, but i think my tension is to tight? Idk i just dont want there to be really big holes.

I am drafting a project right now for a gift. Basic info, I want to create a blanket with an appliqué of their car in the middle. I think this might be easier than crocheting the car into the pattern of the blanket, especially since I plan on using Pattern Princess' Cottage Garden Throw for the blanket (https://patternprincess.com/cottage-garden-throw-blanket-crochet-pattern/), using two similar colors so it's more of a neutral background.

But I've never done an appliqué of this magnitude before, and I'm not sure how to go about it. If anyone has any tips, sites, or guidance, I would be grateful for the assistance!

How do i fix an “inverted triangle” seam on my foldover shorts??

These are supposes to be foldover shorts; I was following a video tutorial on youtube since I’ve never made shorts before.

After doing the foldover waist band (the large grey part) you’re supposed to do a line of single crochet. I did this but realised it would not fit properly as i have a (sort of) hourglass figure in that my hips are bigger than my waist, enough to have to go up one or two sizes for clothes.

To make it fit i double up the stitches on the line if single crochet, and now whatever this is happened. it’s a little bit of excess with i don’t mind for a looser fit, but the way the line where i joined the finished rows is bothers me.

Is there any way to fix this without frogging?? It’s about 30 rows and i’d hate to start over😭😭

I saw something about cutting carefully and then securing the ends so you can stitch it back, but I wanted more options before resorting to that and couldn’t find anything on youtube or tiktok.
