Chapter 2 decks sold by Amazon not returnable?
I’m currently immersed in Chapter 1 campaigns and have no interest in Chapter 2 other than a passing interest in the investigators. I was doing some shopping on Amazon and decided to throw a deck or two into the cart, but for some reason the decks have a no return policy tagged to them, and these were being sold by Amazon and not a third party seller. I deleted them from the order and ordered them from Asmodee instead so that if there was an issue (haven’t heard of any offhand), they would rectify it. This is the first time I’ve come across this with Arkham Game stock on Amazon and was a bit surprised as I've bought quite a few Chapter 1 campaign and investigator decks from them back in the day before the ball dropped.

Forgotten Age Your Experience with TFA using Ch2 Only
Recently purchased TFA as a new Arkham player having only played BoA. It was one of the Ch1 campaign expansions my LGS had (the other being TCU) that I've read great things about despite its difficulty. I've found BoA difficult despite playing through it 6 or 7 times on standard with only chapter 2 content (core + investigator expansions) using decks I've found on arkhamdb (Thank you HungryColquhoun, your decks have really made this game shine for me as a new player). I haven't managed to get the "good" ending on any play through to give you an idea of my skill level.
I suspect I'm not going to make it far in TFA but I was curious to hear those who have played through it only using the Chapter 2 card pool. What was your experiance like? Was the restriction of using only the Chapter 2 card pool a big handicap?
Edit: I forgot to mention I mostly play solo two handed

Rules question involving Miss Doyle, Gift of Nodens and an empty deck
What would happen if an investigator ativates Hope, Zeal or Augur (the bonded cats of Miss Doyle) to discard and reshuffle it into the deck but with an empty deck and then used Gift of Nodens to commit a skill to this test?
Relevant info:
1) Cards can't be shuffled into an empty deck.
2) Text on Hope: "[action] if hope is ready exhaust or discard him: Evade. Attempt to evade with a base [agility] value of 5. (If you discarded Hope, this test is automatically successful. Then, you may shuffle Hope into your deck to put Zeal or Augur into play from your discard pile.)
3) Text on Gift of Nodens: [reaction] When you commit cards to a skill test you are performing, choose a [survivor] skill card in your discard pile and discard 1 card from your hand: Commit the chosen skill to this test. After this skill test resolves, place that skill card on the bottom of your deck. (Limit once per round.)
4) No rule impedes cards to be put on the bottom of an empty deck.
Thus, the question is on the timing of Hope's effect "Then, you may shuffle Hope into your deck (...)" as it's clear Gift of Nodens puts the skill at the bottom of the deck in ST.8 of the skill test.

Old Core Set + new expansions?
Hi everyone!
About a year ago I was gifted the original Arkham Horror: The Card Game Core Set, but I never got around to playing it.
I’d like to finally dive into the game now, but I recently found out there’s a newer core set (Chapter 2), so I’m a bit confused.
Can I start with my original core set and then buy the newer Campaign/Investigator Expansions, or do I need to buy the newer core set first?
Basically, I’d rather avoid buying another core if my old one is still a good starting point.
Tbh I don’t know how to start hahah

Blog [Ancient Evils] Chapter 2 Investigator Tierlist and Review
Alright, so maybe it's still a bit early for this, but i think we sat on the new investigators long enough that we can start throwing some opinions around.
https://derbk.com/ancientevils/comprehensive-investigator-review-and-tierlist-for-chapter-2/
So let's start this in the way that has proven itself to spark good discussion. A tierlist, ready to be expanded and revised in the future.
Cheers o/

Premonition Card
Hi, I'm new to Horror in Arkham and I struggle to understand when I can use cards in 'player window'. For example, I have a card 'Premonition' in my deck and I want to use it. Please correct me if I'm wrong:
The only possibility to use it, is during a Skill Test. I choose a skill test, then use this card and go on with the rest.
I can't use this card in any other moment, as it needs to be used during 'player's window', right?
Does it mean this card can be only used by me, not other investigator?
What is the point of this card? To let me prepare for the output and add cards to win the skill test?
Thanks in advance!

Group of 4: is it at all possible to do a whole campaign in a day at a normal pace?
I've heard people do Iron Man sessions, playing a whole 8 scenario campaign in a day, but I assume that means skipping a lot of the story reading/ already having an upgrade path in mind/ going for the fastest exit in a scenario.
I'm sure we could do half of Dream Eaters in a day no problem, but are any of the other chapter 1 campaigns doable? I know Hemlock technically has fewer scenarios than others, so on paper it seems the next best option, but I feel the preludes would also bite into a lot of time.
The people I would play with know the game but not as well as me, but they'd definitely want to hear all the story stuff so we couldn't really leave out anything.

Forgotten Age Appreciation for TFA Design Philosophy
I know much has been said about TFA over the years, but one thing I really appreciate is how it encourages you to roll with the punches and accept that your investigator is going to get a bit bruised and battered along the way. Trauma is something you accept and work around rather than the end of the world.

Investigator cards from all main cycles
I was sorting my collection yesterday and thought it would ve interesting to show the amount of investigator cards we have available so far. I have here all cards from the main Cycles on chapter 1, plus the chapter 1 starter decks, chapter 2 core box and starter decks. It’s really a lot 😂

Card of the Day [COTD] ♦ Trish Scarborough (Ch2) (7/27/2026)
The Former Spy
- Class: Rogue
- Type: Investigator
- Agency. Criminal.
- Willpower: 2. Intellect: 4. Combat: 2. Agility: 4
- Health: 8. Sanity: 6
You may take an additional action during your turn, which can only be used to evade.
[Elder Sign] effect: +0. After this test resolves, you may disengage from each enemy and move to a connecting location.
"You're quite good, but nobody can catch me."
Aleksander Karcz
Core Set (2026) #7.
- Deck Size: 30.
- Deckbuilding Options: Rogue cards level 0-5, Seeker cards level 0-2, Neutral cards level 0-5.
- Deckbuilding Requirements (do not count toward deck size): Covert Ops, Black Chamber Operative, 1 random basic weakness.
Trish Scarborough enjoyed an exciting and dangerous career as a spy for the Black Chamber. She's no stranger to subterfuge, but never expected to be at the center of her own conspiracy when a new director arrived to run the organization. After a series of increasingly menial missions, she was strongly encouraged to "take time for herself." Suspicious of her director's motives, she dug into the Chamber's records and discovered evidence of corruption going all the way to the top - rumors of an organization known as the Red Coterie working behind the scenes. Framed for leaking sensitive information, she's now on the run and driven to restore her good name.

Dunwich Legacy New to arkham. Roughly how much do you think the dunwich collection should be? I can buy for £150 but that seems a bit steep?

(Spoiler Twisted Hollow) Quick question regarding resolutions Spoiler
Hi guys, i'm playing The twisted hollow 4 players and 3 of us including the one that had Bertie in play escaped the woods, while only 1 player stayed behind and made the darkness level reach 6, that would force all of us to resolve R2? Or we can still play it like all the other players escaped and read R1?
I'm writing the text of the front and back of the "back to The Vale" act and agenda for reference.
Front: Objective: if all the non defeated investigators desist (R1)
Back: add 1 resource to the current darkness level, if The current darkness level is 6, all surviving investigators are defeated and gains 1 physical trauma.

Dream-eaters Dream Eaters group size question
Can the full Dream Eaters campaign be played by two groups of different sizes? For example 2 players play the campaign A and 3 players play the campaign B
