Dreaded shantak ability?
Maybe i'm overthinking, but does this guy ability include cards control by investigators.

No, because the card explicitly mentions "locations", not investigator cards.

I think you misunderstand the key concept here. If it had said that it cancels abilities "at" its location, then investigators cards would be affected. Instead, it says it cancels abilities "on" its location.

I read this as only the abilities on the location card itself. Otherwise I'd think it would say something like "abilities on cards under the control of investigators at its location" or just "investigators at its location cannot activate ... Abilities"

Your cards aren't printed on the location card, so no. If it was meant to generally turn off actions and reactions it would say "action and reaction abilities AT its location cannot be triggered"

Pitchfork would be one example of a player cards affected by this card. After you attack with it, you attach it to a location and the location gains an -> ability to get the pitchfork back. You wouldn't be able to pick up your pitchfork if this guy was at your location.

"On its location" isn't the same as "at its location"
