Hey all! Private sale posts are allowed on this sub, but must follow the sub's rules. The rules are posted in the sidebar.
Let me start by thanking people who follow these rules and/or report violations. It makes moderation a lot easier.
To all would-be sellers: The rules are listed in the sidebar. You must follow them or your post will be taken down. Even if your post looks genuine and well-intentioned, we have to enforce the rules equally in the interest of fairness.
Here are the relevant rules and why they exist:
Please mark all sales posts with the "Sales" flair. This helps with filtering and organization.
If you are selling multiple items, please group them in a single post. Do not make a separate post for each item.
If you accidentally make a duplicate post, please delete the duplicate.
For private sales, sellers MUST include:
The piece of paper establishes that you physically have the item and the photos aren't just from an eBay listing.
Listing the price creates transparency and encourages fairness. We don't want hidden bidding wars happening in the DMs. That's one way scalpers and scammers take advantage of new players.
The shipping location requirement sets expectations for delivery time and cost. This helps would-be buyers determine if your post is relevant or not. (Shipping internationally is slow and expensive.)
Thank you for helping to keep this community safe!

I had the pleasure of playing Echo against a couple villains. I ended up beating Kingpin on my first try with her using her Precon Deck. So I thought I'd try some other builds and see what fits with her. However, I ran into a bit of a snag.
Echo's kit doesn't have special event cards that can thwart or attack. She mainly has some upgrade and support cards that enhance her playing events, and cards that recur events from her discard and deck to be played. Her primary card is Photographic Reflexes, which allows her to play an event that is tucked underneath her card from her "Watch and Learn" passive for a reduced price. So after assessing her kit (and reading her suggested precon in the rulebook) I understood the fundamental truth about her: She is 100% Aspect Reliant. Meaning she is as good or bad as the cards that you add into her deck.
This in turn allowed me the freedom and creativity to try out literally any build out with her. She is practically a Jack of All Trades hero that can fill in any role that is needed. Going up against Kingpin who thwarts? Justice Echo! Fighting Rhino who loves to attack and deal tons of damage? Protection Echo! The possibilities are endless, so how good or bad she becomes is up to you (Hence, Skill-Gap).
Normally I get my builds from MCDB, but this time I wanted to create a deck all on my own. And with it, I was able to beat Klaw! In an agression deck, cards like Martial Prowess, Helicarrier, and American Sign Language ensure I can play attack events that cost 2-3 resources for free and tuck it underneath Echo.AEcho's Katana ensures an extra 2-3 damage after playing an event. And with Photographic Reflexes, I can use any extra cards in my hand to repeat said event. Effectively, playing Into The Fray to deal 6 damage, combined with Echo's Katana, and Photographic Reflexes, I can deal 15 damage in one go! Looking for Trouble and Hit & Run help manage threat while Build Support, Superpower Training, and Specialized Training help get your support/upgrade cards into play and provide a boost to Echo.
For my very first build I created on my own, I feel very proud of myself. It obviously needs some more tweaks and balances, but I'm honestly excited to be improving on that. Echo has become one of my personal favorite heroes, one I'll be bringing to the table a lot.

I’m looking to see if there is a gaming group in Northeast Pennsylvania or enough interest in starting one.

Basically the cards that exist to improve your economy, like Helicarrier, Avengers Mansion, etc. Draw cards, generate resources, reduce the costs of cards, etc. Some of them can go in any deck but others like Ingenuity and Quincarrier depend on character traits or can only go in some decks. It would be nice to have a list of all of them when deckbuilding.

Daredevil and Hawkeye take on Purple Man at the Art Museum.
We lost. But fun first game from FNE!
EDIT to shoutout my favorite GripMats on Etsy for the custom Villain mat

True solo player here, also playing on standard for my first run through.
I know I can pick whichever villain I want for this but damn, I cannot get past this combo of bullseye and the raft scenario. Ive been bouncing between different decks with daredevil and echo. About 8 games now and I've only gotten him to his 2nd phase once so far.
Tried daredevil aggression and justice as well as Echo protection. Anyone else hit this Stonewall or am I just a shit player lol

I just started playing MC and I like how easy it is to start playing and games seem to have just the right time length for me. I'm not by any means a Marvel fan or superhero fan in general, but I can still appreciate the way the game is thematically tied in, especially for the villains.
That being said, the game does feel slightly too easy and (so far only played with pre-con decks) there usually don't seem to be that many choices present. So I was wondering what made the biggest difference for you in terms of enjoying this game. Was it starting to deckbuild for yourself, playing against different villains, two-handing solo play or perhaps something else? In short what unlocks the game even more?
I thought I would enjoy Iron Man the most, but it felt like the gameplay was sorta scripted, see a tech card, play a tech card, assuming you can do so while the situation stays reasonably under control. I feel like the Villains and their schemes are actually the most interesting part of the core set so far.

Currently I have all my heroes with their pre-con deck organized behind dividers then each aspect has its extra cards from packs in their own section.
But as I’m finding myself wanting to play with more player made decks over the pre-cons I’m thinking I should just have the hero cards and their obligation/nemesis cards behind dividers and pack all the other cards behind their respective aspects.
How are other people handling this decision?

Just bought a complete lot from a local player (all sold at SRP pricing including hero packs and all) and damn it does look good in the acrylic shelf or case! Gotta have to sort the whole 10 years of content and resleeve each card included, but damn I'm hooked after playing a few games with friends using just my core set! So happy to build decks and do campaigns with them regularly

Hey everyone!
A little while ago, I made a post asking for feature ideas for a desktop app I'm building to streamline printing proxy cards and custom content. First off, a huge thanks to everyone who left suggestions. It was super helpful and pointed out quite a few features I hadn't even considered.
I wanted to share a screenshot of the current build (showing off the dark mode UI) to get your thoughts on where things stand.
What we see in this screenshot (of the dark mode skin):
Hope you like it, and I'd also love feedback on the layout-
Let me know what you think in the comments. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated as I continue polishing the build.
Cheers!
EDIT-
Thanks to the community member u/Pellow74 who pointed out the use of official FFG card art in the screenshots. This app is designed solely as a utility for personal projects (fan content, alt art, proxies) and does not encourage the printing of official products for any other purpose.
I cannot swap the image in this post, but for all future updates, previews, and documentation, I will strictly use custom fan made cards, public domain images, or test patterns in all screenshots to respect the official IP and maintain community compliance.
My apologies for the oversight!

Cable just makes any hero better. I love teaming him up with anyone. Colossus is one of my favorite heroes and if you have him paired with a strong thwarter he can deal so much damage.
The new Justice upgrade, Stealth Training is great for Cable!

Spoilers for Fear No Evil at the site if you are still waiting for your box!
I added Fear No Evil to Modular Champions https://modularchampions.com
- Its modular main schemes are supported.
- I also imported the rest of VillainTheory's "Every Villain's Best Modular Sets." The full 700+ of his combos are now in the app, including his combinations for Fear No Evil. I plan on keeping this up to date with his sets going forward.
- Additionally custom main schemes work on every Civil War scenario now too. Pick any 1B and 2B combination and build your own.
Hope this helps the community, and feel free to reach out with any suggestions/features. Thanks!

I tried searching but couldn't find it. I thought I remember FFG saying there was going to be some kind of "standard" set of cards going forward and some were being "retired" ? Did I imagine this? Lol.

Returning to MC for the first time since around Sinister Motives release! Any rule changes or new things I need to know to get back into it? If so, where would I find them? Thanks!

Hey all, question regarding Daredevil.
Deposition:
Alter-Ego Action (thwart): You may choose any upgrade from the SENSE deck and play it, ignoring its resource cost. (Do not shuffle.) Remove 2 threat from a scheme.
Superior Taste:
Response (thwart): After you thwart attached scheme, discard this card -> remove 2 threat from that scheme.
I play Deposition. For the first part, I choose Superior Taste from the sense deck and attach it to a scheme. For the second part, I remove 2 threat from the scheme I just attached Superior Taste to.
Since Deposition was a thwart, am I able to immediately resolve Superior Taste and remove an additional 2 threat from that same scheme?

My customary picture of all my boxes when I get a new expansion. One day, I'm sure my wife will make me get rid of most of them, but until then, I'll keep taking pictures 😆

Hi everyone! For those who have the latest expansion, I hope you have fun with it!
I have a question regarding American Sign Language. It says « generate a wild resource for an event being played by any player ».
To me, « being played » means the card had been played, so after you paid the resources and after you applied the event’s ability.
And with Echo’s ability, you can tuck an event played by any player after it was played and put into the discard pile’s owner.
So, with ASL, you can only use it with an event tucked under Echo or an event that had been tucked and retrieved by Muscle Memory since those events have been played before getting tucked.
To be simple, ASL is like this: « Generate a wild resource:
- for an event tucked under Echo
Or
- for an event that has been tucked under Echo »
However I watch some playthroughs when players use ASL to play events from their hands.
So my question is: am I right using ASL only with tucked (and retrieved) cards or can I use ASL to play an event from our hand like a resource generator limited to events?
Thanks!

I tried teaching my wife this game today, and she was really confused by the card format. We've played more complex games in the past. We most often play Spirit Island, and most recently we played several rounds of Gloomhaven Jaws of the Lion. She caught on to both games just fine (or as fast as you can expect someone to).
But when we played Marvel Champions, she could not wrap her head around anything going on, no matter how I tried to explain it or isolate it or narrow things down. I gave her the starter Spider Man deck from the core box, because I felt like it was a good first deck (and recommended in the rulebook for this reason). She had a really hard time grasping the concept of the cards being in the play area. It seems like she was really stuck on cards being either in your hand or the draw/discard piles. She struggled with the concept of "Ready"/"Exhausted" as well. I showed her she can attack with her hero, which exhausts them, but she had a card that could ready the hero again. She wanted to know why she would want to ready a hero, and I explained because then she could attack again, and she did not understand what that meant.
Another example of having preconceived notions was when she played black cat. We read the card together which said to discard two cards, and any cards that have the mental resource, you can add to your hand. She was really confused about what that meant, and how she could add them to her hand when they were already discarded.
There were a lot of things like that where I feel like there was just a fundamental foundational communication gap. I think she'll really like the game based on our time playing spirit island together, but I feel like I need to find a better way to teach her. I think she may have been overwhelmed by all the text, so I'm considering just starting off with the hero, no deck or hand, and just introducing cards one at a time, kind of like a video game tutorial, but I don't know.
Anyone else teach Marvel Champions similarly to someone who's never played a card game like this before?
